1. Remove the back cover of the washing machine and remove the sensor. It can be located both at the base of the heating element and on the tank.
2. We measure the resistance of the sensor with a multimeter.
3. We lower the sensor into hot water, give time to warm up a little.
4. We measure the resistance of the sensor again.

For example, equip a pressure tank under the ceiling of an apartment, or in the attic of a house. The minimum required pressure is 12 atm.

Causes of breakdowns and options for their elimination:

• Water level regulator defective. A faulty water level switch does not recognize that the drum is full, therefore does not turn on the heating element. Check the switch with a multimeter and, in case of malfunction, replace it with a new one.
• Scale has formed on the heater. Due to the increased hardness of the water, limescale appears on the heating element, which affects the operation of the heater. Disassemble the washing machine and remove the limescale.
• Heating equipment malfunction. The heater contacts need to be tightened and the oxidation cleaned. Using a multimeter, check the heating element for an open circuit, having previously disconnected one wire from the heater. Replace it with a new one if necessary.
• Thermal relay breakage. It serves to measure the temperature of the water in the tank of the washing machine and turn off the heating element when the desired temperature is reached. An incorrectly working thermostat switches off the heating element incorrectly: too early or too late.

• Flush and reassemble the pump. If the performed manipulations did not help, replace the pump with a new one.
