In detail: DIY blender repair chopper from a real master for the site my.housecope.com.
A blender is a multifunctional household appliance that is found in almost every kitchen. This is a convenient device that can replace several devices at once. With its help, grind, mix, whip products. The design of blenders is simple, so they are quite reliable, but even the most reliable equipment fails. Consider how to disassemble an immersion and stationary blender, find the cause of the breakdown and do the repair yourself.
All blenders can be divided into two types - stationary (desktop) and submersible (manual). They differ in design and method of operation, may have different nozzles and additional functions. To repair a stationary or immersion blender, you need to understand the features of its device.
Manual models are electrical appliances on a long handle with a cutting nozzle. They are lowered into a bowl with products that need to be crushed and mixed, they press the start button and hold until the procedure is over.
The undoubted advantages of submersible models include compactness. The instruments are easy to disassemble for cleaning, plus they require a minimum of space for storage. Blenders with a large number of attachments are versatile and perform many food preparation operations.
The disadvantage of submersible structures is only one, but significant. During cooking, the device has to be held in your hand while pressing the start button. If you have to do this for 1-2 minutes, the hand gets tired and numb. Such a device is not suitable for frequent use, because. Doesn't handle large quantities of food well.

Making soup with a hand blender
Stationary models look like food processors and often perform many functions. They are bowls with rotating knives fixed at the bottom. Such a device is installed on the table, it is not necessary to hold it with your hands during operation. It is able to grind a large portion of food at a time, copes with mixing cocktails, batter.
Desktop models also have disadvantages. The hostess has to allocate quite a lot of space for storage and installation. In addition, some stationary blenders chop vegetables poorly: they either grind into crumbs or remain large pieces. The advantages of desktop structures include the fact that they are sometimes easier to disassemble and repair with your own hands than submersible ones.
Although the principles of operation of submersible and stationary blenders are similar, there are still differences due to the different design of the devices. In all models, products are chopped with knives, but in desktop appliances, bowls also perform an auxiliary function.
The knife of the stationary appliance, located at the bottom of the bowl, rotates and cuts the products. With an increase in speed, the crushed mass is mixed, rises. The walls of the bowl expand upwards, so small pieces slide down the walls, and large ones fall into the center - to the knives. It turns out that the crosspiece pulls down the pieces of food and throws the already crushed mass to the walls of the bowl.
It is not uncommon for a blender to be considered broken if it does a poor job of grinding. But it happens that the problem is not in breakdowns, but in the low power of the electric motor. Sometimes it is enough to add a little liquid to the bowl to make the work of the knives easier.
If the model is powerful, then such deviations in operation can indeed indicate malfunctions, for example, a blunt knife, a broken speed switch, etc. In some cases, problems with the bowl may be the cause of poor performance.
Stationary model device
In submersible structures, collector-type electric motors and fuses are usually installed that turn off the device in case of overloads. Frequent breakdown is the burning of current-carrying parts, therefore, when malfunctions occur, the contacts “ring out” first of all, rotating the shaft manually.
Care must be taken when using manual devices: they are not suitable for kneading dough and other thick products. The motor may not be able to withstand the load. Repairs will be expensive. However, there is good news: often women's hands get tired of holding the equipment before the engine has time to overheat.
Many models are equipped with speed switches. This is a very convenient feature that expands the capabilities of the hostess. But if the engine does not cope, then the working device can escape from the hands, which causes mechanical failure.
Immersion model device
In submersible models, the power cable often fails. This is the reverse side of the main advantage of such devices - mobility. The hand blender is often turned on and off, transferred from place to place, which leads to cord kinks, incl. critical.
Unstable operation of the power grid is also a risk factor. During power surges, motors often burn, printed circuit boards are destroyed. Often it is necessary to replace the knife, repair the nozzle, the speed controller. In desktop appliances, liquid may leak into the nozzle drive, the bowl snap mechanism may break.
Immersion Blender Repair
Consider how to check the performance of individual components of the structure:
- If the blender does not turn on, first of all check the presence of current in the electrical outlet. Before disassembling the device for repair, you need to make sure that there are no power problems. The socket is checked using a tester or by connecting another electrical appliance to it, which has an accurately working cord.
- If there is current, but the blender does not turn on, check the power cable and fuse. Repair in this case is reduced to the replacement of defective parts with new ones.
- Overloading may cause the motor to burn out. In addition to problems with performance, such a breakdown gives itself the smell of burning. Sometimes the device can be repaired by replacing the brushes yourself, but more often you have to take the blender for repair to a service center or buy a new one.
- When the elements of the printed circuit board burn out, a short circuit occurs. It is necessary to disassemble the equipment, inspect the board, test and, if necessary, re-solder the faulty elements.
- If the gasket is leaking, then it must be replaced with a new one, because. liquid can get on the electric motor and cause a more serious repair.
Dive Model Troubleshooting
Housewives often encounter a situation where the blender has stopped and the knife is not spinning. It happens that the knife is spinning, the engine and the speed switch are working, but when loading products, the device runs “idle”, without grinding them. In many cases, repairs can be done by hand. Let's figure out how to do it.
Scheme of the device of a stationary blender
(CM: make a screen of the 1st picture with the name of the parts)
Before disassembling the blender for repair, you should carefully read the technical documentation. Disassembly instructions may be included with Bosch, Philips, Scarlett, Polaris models. It is best to follow the manufacturer's recommendations. Otherwise, there is a high risk of permanently breaking the device.
For disassembly and repair, you will need the following tools:
- a flat thin screwdriver (if such a screwdriver is not found, it can be replaced with a narrow knife);
- long screwdriver;
- pliers;
- a magnet to get small parts if you can’t remove them with tools;
- superglue or any other reliable adhesive composition, with which you can restore the integrity of the seams if they are damaged.
Do-it-yourself blender disassembly procedure:
- Remove all screws, remembering or marking their locations.
- Remove all items that are possible.
Note! Some craftsmen offer a more radical disassembly option: a narrow screwdriver or knife is inserted between the body and the casing of the device and the weld is knocked down with a precise hammer blow. This method is only suitable for non-collapsible models, and superglue is required for their reassembly after repair.
- Parts that could not be removed should be carefully examined. They can be fastened with latches. In this case, they can be removed by depressing the latch locks.
- When the case is disassembled, you can begin to check the performance of parts and repair.
The most common models of Scarlett ("Scarlet"), Vitek ("Vitek"), Polaris ("Polaris"), Philips ("Philips"), Bosch ("Bosch") are usually disassembled, so they can be repaired by hand, replaced nozzles. Consider in what cases self-repair is possible.
- Knife replacement. If the knife is blunt, it can only be replaced, because. it cannot be sharpened. New knives are sold in specialized and hardware stores. To replace, remove the old part by wrapping it in a towel and unscrewing it. After that, put on a new knife (it may differ in appearance from the old one), fasten it.
Important! Sometimes you can buy a new knife complete with an oil seal. It makes sense to replace both parts at once. In some stationary models, the knife cannot be removed from the bowl, because. she is not broken. Then there remains only the option of a complex replacement of the bowl, knife and gland.
Knives old and new
- Speed controller. In stationary models, it may be difficult to check the switch, because. often there is a function of blocking the inclusion without a bowl. By the way, the problem of stopping the operation of the device is also associated with blocking. If you suspect a malfunction of the speed switch, you need to unsolder it, check each position in full, and repair it.
- Stop work. If the device does not turn on, the first step is to check and, if necessary, replace the cord. If it turns on and buzzes, but does not work, then you should disable the lock. Inoperability when the lock is released most often indicates a burnout of the motor winding. It can be replaced, but it's an expensive repair, so it's often more cost effective to just buy a new blender.
Note! The problem may lie in the printed circuit boards. It is worth inspecting the capacitors and resistors. If a short circuit occurs, then it is better to give the device to specialists. In many cases, damaged electronics cannot be repaired or the cost is too high.
In order to have to disassemble, check and repair blenders with your own hands as little as possible, you should follow simple rules for safe operation. Check the attachment of the nozzles before starting work, do not turn on the device without a bowl, do not overload, handle the wire carefully (make sure that it does not bend or twist). Most importantly, follow the user manual. These simple measures are quite enough for the equipment to serve for many years without repairs.
Rack structures on the ceiling are used to decorate various premises, both residential and public. The kitchen is no exception. The popularity of this material.
Someone becomes an adherent of this style at first sight, someone is annoyed by his excessive cloying and "cuteness", but completely indifferent shabby.
The financial costs of equipping the kitchen and bathroom often make up the lion's share of the cost of repairing the entire apartment or private house. No wonder, after all.
This useful device, until recently a curiosity, can now be found in almost every kitchen. Many housewives cannot imagine how they used to do without a blender. Its purpose is to mix the products until a homogeneous mass is obtained. But what to do if the device suddenly fails? If you are at least a little versed in electrical engineering, the answer is simple - try to repair the blender yourself.
The most commonly used hand blender. If it is completed with a rotating bowl, it turns into a stationary one and significantly increases its capabilities.
Before you start repairing the blender, you must first familiarize yourself with its design. The device includes:
- Sealed plastic case.
- Electric motor with mains filter.
- Switch.
- Speed controller.
- Replaceable nozzles.
Depending on the type, the wiring diagram can be significantly expanded. Power is supplied from a household electrical outlet with alternating voltage of 220 W or a built-in battery charged by means of an adapter.
The principle of operation of the device is to transfer the rotational energy of the electric motor through the adapter, directly to the nozzle. High speed allows you to use the blender as a chopper or juicer. By adjusting the rotation speed, it is possible to obtain the optimal consistency of the prepared mixture as a result.
Blender malfunctions can manifest themselves both in the electrical circuit and in the mechanics. The most common breakdowns are the result of improper use of the device. The reasons for uncharacteristic work or failure are in overloadwhen the nozzles have difficulty turning for a long time. Dirt and lack of lubrication also contribute to this.
The blender is a fairly durable device, but it may not withstand being dropped from a height or hit by a hard object. This applies to both the case and the circuit inside.
The electric motor is the main part of the device. Its malfunction is signaled by:
- Complete silence of the device.
- Intermittent operation and drop in rpm under load.
- Characteristic smell of burnt insulation.
- Sparking observed through the body and intense heating of the device.
Cheap models have one speed, and the electric motor is powered directly through the diode bridge. To change the rotation speed, a speed controller is added to the device. This circuit can also cause the blender to stop and require repair. Malfunctions in it are manifested by factors similar to those described above.
From mechanical failures observed breakage of nozzles and their poor adhesion to the adapter located on the motor shaft. Repair of the blender nozzle is shown step by step in the video:
In stationary models, the described malfunctions are supplemented by breakdowns in the motor that rotates the bowl and the clutch that provides rotation.
Self-repair of a blender begins with the preparation of the required tool. You will need a Phillips and flat screwdriver, a tester (multimeter) and a soldering iron. You need to be prepared that you will have to replace some radio components.
Any repair of household appliances is preceded by an external inspection of the device and checking the availability of power in the network. Particular attention is paid to the plug and the supply cable. He looks around for integrity and the absence of kinks. If damage is detected, the cable is replaced with a new or tested used one.
Attention: a damaged wire with a plug should not be repaired by splicing and using electrical tape.The blender is constantly used in the presence of moisture, which may cause a short circuit or electric shock.
Without revealing external flaws, proceed to disassemble the device. This operation must be carried out with extreme care so as not to damage the housing. Please note that some models cannot be disassembled. In this case, the repair of the blender is somewhat complicated. The body is not equipped with fixing screws, and the joints are glued. You can disassemble such a device yourself with an ordinary knife. The procedure is well described in the video:
In other cases, disassembly is carried out with a screwdriver and pressing the latches. Do not forget that after removing the fasteners, the case should open easily, otherwise there is probably a disguised fastener that was missed during external inspection. The disassembly of the Philips blender can be seen in the video:
The Vitek blender has its own characteristics. The case halves are fastened with latches, but the main fastening is a screw hidden under the switch, which is removed by gently prying it with a screwdriver.
Vitek brand products belong to the budget and blender owners more often than others have to deal with malfunctions of this equipment.
After disassembling the blender, the motor and electrical circuit are removed. They are checked visually. If no obvious damage is observed: the smell of burnt wiring, charring of radio components, jamming of the shaft, poor-quality soldering, you should start dialing.
First of all, the fuse, if any, and the quenching resistor are checked. Then follows the continuity of the diodes. The cause of the malfunction may be the rectifier capacitor. If defective parts are found, they are replaced with original or analogues. The main thing is that they match in power. The sevenistor, which is a regulatory element, is difficult to verify, but these parts rarely fail.
Adjustment of the rotation speed can be carried out smoothly, with the help of a resistor or discretely - by a switch. In both cases, they also need a call.
After making sure that the electrical circuit is working, proceed for checking the motor. The collector circuit makes it easy to determine the malfunction. The smell of burning and the lack of contact between the windings (accessed by disassembling the motor and freeing the collector) will indicate a burnout. In this case, further repairs are not financially feasible.
Sometimes the lack of contact on the windings is justified failure of brushes. They are easy to remove and change.
The restored motor group should be easily turned by hand. Before assembly, all rotating parts must be cleaned and lubricated.
The blender is assembled in the reverse order. If you manage to master the repair yourself, it will not cost you anything to make an immersion blender with your own hands.
A blender is a motor, on the shaft of which a special nozzle is placed. This is a fairly simple device. To start working, a bowl with a knife is attached to the motor shaft. This makes it possible to disable the engine lock. After the blender, you can work in pulse or normal mode by pressing the power button. The household appliance is completed with a rotation speed regulator, a cord, a plug. A fuse may also be included.
Are you sure that you can handle the repair of the blender with your own hands? In this article, we will show you how to take apart a blender and how to become almost a professional blender repairman. Like most devices, the blender is quite easy to disassemble, the main thing is that no extra parts are left during assembly.
Today, three types of blenders are produced:
- Stationary
- Submersible
- As an option in a food processor.
In all types of blenders, the main component is the electric motor. But the principles of operation of a household appliance are somewhat different.Stationary blenders are almost identical in their characteristics to food processors. They consist of two main components: an electric motor and a utensil with a knife placed inside it.
Let's look at the device and the principle of operation of the blender. Products are placed in the blender bowl. The device turns on and its knife begins to rotate very quickly. The shape of the knife is made in such a way as to force the products to move along a closed path. The knife of the device is located at the bottom of the bowl and is joined to the motor rotor. High speed and the desired shape allow you to quickly grind products. The blender blade is made in the form of a propeller. This allows him to draw in products for cutting, and at the same time throw the already crushed mass onto the walls of the bowl.
The blender bowl has a special shape that ensures the movement in a circle of processed products. The walls expand towards the top. In this regard, the resulting mass begins to fill the walls, freeing the center of the mold for products that have not yet been cut. As soon as the amount of processed products on the wall reaches a critical weight, they again fall onto the knife and further grinding takes place. In practice, all this happens in a matter of moments.
We have described a process that can be observed with quality equipment. Cheaper models may not be up to the task. The lack of power does not allow creating a continuous flow of processed products and the knife begins to cut the air. If you decide to chop the cabbage, then add a little water. This will help the knives handle this vegetable.
If the blender does not cope with grinding food, this does not mean that it is broken, maybe it just does not have enough power. Then you should add some drinking liquid and try to start the blender again. If this does not help, then perhaps you should do the repair yourself:
- sharpen or replace a knife;
- test the speed switch;
- make sure the engine is working;
- check how the bowl connects to the knife.
If you decide to repair the blender with your own hands without involving professionals, then you should start by checking the speed controller. It's simple. It is necessary to press successively different speeds and determine by ear whether the speed of the rotor changes. If the speed changes, then the regulator is working, and it is worth checking the blender blade.
Unfortunately, not everyone can sharpen such a knife at home. Therefore, you should not experiment, it is better to purchase a new cutting tool for the blender. In the store, you may encounter the following development of events:
- You have purchased a new blender blade. In this case, it is necessary to remove the old one and put a new one in its place. You can disassemble the blender with your own hands, for this we disconnect the blender from the network, remove the bowl from it. We take a clean towel so as not to injure ourselves on a sharp edge and begin to unscrew the knife from the motor spindle. The threaded connection here is not standard, but left, so we unscrew it in the opposite direction. Sometimes the knife is connected with nuts. In this case, wrenches and pliers will come to your aid.
- There are models in which you need to disassemble the blender bowl to replace the knife. There is no problem in this, but here do not forget to change the oil seal to a new one.
- And finally, the most inconvenient option is when the bowl cannot be disassembled. In this case, you will have to purchase the entire block: a bowl and a knife.
Breakdown of the speed controller in an immersion blender is one of the most common. If so, then the blender is in danger of being disassembled. You can fully check the performance of this unit only in a workshop where there is the necessary equipment. If you have the necessary knowledge in electrics, then you can independently “ring out” this part. You will be able to determine if the problem is here.The regulator is unsoldered from the blender and it is checked in all positions. For normal operation, in each position the regulator contacts are normally closed.
But before disassembling a household appliance, it is worth listening to whether the speed of rotation of the knife changes when switching speeds.
It should be remembered that in most models, the blender cannot be turned on if a bowl is not connected to it. This option is classic, because since the invention of the blender, its creator has emphasized that the equipment will not turn on if the bowl is not installed.
You decide to grind minced meat, but the blender simply does not turn on! Don't panic right away! This trouble can be solved even easier than if the device worked, but did everything badly.
To get started, click on the button and let's listen. Is there a soft buzz? So the engine is running, but he can not scroll the knife. We disconnect the bowl and with our fingers or a small screwdriver we press the button blocking the inclusion of the blender. If everything began to work, then the defect is determined.
If, even when the lock is disabled, the device does not start, then the matter is in the engine, more precisely in its windings. One or two of them burned down. In this case, the motor must be replaced. If you manage to buy it at a reasonable price, then you are in luck. But most often its cost is comparable to the cost of a new inexpensive device, so it is not economically justified to repair such a blender. It's easier to buy a new one!
If, when the button is pressed, you do not hear the operation of the engine, in order to repair it is necessary to investigate the power supply circuit:
Here is the order of work that needs to be done if you decide to fix the blender yourself. If the device breaks down during the warranty period, the service center must repair it free of charge. It is better not to disassemble expensive blender models and try to fix it yourself, but you need to contact a specialized workshop. To date, the cost of an expensive blender can be considered 3000-3500 rubles.
The blender forced us to put away food processors, mixers and other appliances in a distant locker. But, as is typical for household appliances, a blender can fail. Fortunately, in some cases, breakdowns are not so terrible, and you can repair the blender yourself. How exactly, I'll tell you now.
Before proceeding directly to troubleshooting, it is important to know the internal structure itself and the principle of operation of the unit.
The blender itself is a motor of a certain power, hidden in the body of the handle, which we hold while pressing the button and adjusting the speed (manual). Also, the motor can be placed in a stand-case (stationary).
A special nozzle with a knife (whisk, crusher, etc.) is put on the motor shaft, which rotates the knife or rotates itself when the button is pressed.
The general purpose of both types of devices is the same, but in the event of a breakdown, their own characteristics and subtleties of repair appear.
Sometimes the failure of the blender is taken as poor knife operation, slippage during grinding, or the presence of large pieces in the ground mass. This is not a breakdown, but a frequent problem of low-power models, which, due to the limitation of motor power, cannot cope with solid food. If the unit has previously coped with harder fractions, then it is worth examining it for malfunctions.
General device of a stationary blender:
- a bowl with a knife;
- motor shaft;
- bowl locking mechanism;
- electric motor;
- switch and speed controller;
- network cord.
The instruction in the table contains a description and troubleshooting of the most common malfunctions in a stationary blender:
Problem: The bowl of a stationary unit may leak at the point of attachment to the body.
Solution: repair of the bowl is a simple replacement of the gasket.
Unfortunately, the part cannot be repaired and you will either have to find a replacement (which is not always possible) or buy a new device.
The device of a portable blender is somewhat different: the simplest models are very compact and consist of:
- handles with electric motor;
- speed switch and power button;
- legs (an oblong nozzle with a "skirt" and a knife);
- network cord.
The kit can be supplemented with a mill bowl, nozzles for whipping liquid products, mashing, etc.
One way or another, for the correct operation of the submersible blender, it is often necessary to eliminate such problems:
The cord is the “weak” point of portable models, since there is a much greater chance of damaging it with an accidental sharp movement, crushing it with a heavy object, etc.
- disassemble the handle with the motor;
- check the status of incoming contacts, evaluate internal elements for damage;
- we connect a new serviceable cord to the contacts and check the performance.
If the blender does not work, but makes characteristic buzzing sounds or does not switch speeds, then perhaps the problem is in the regulator:
- disassemble the case;
- using a multimeter, we “ring out” the part;
- solder the part if the problem was found and adjusted for each position;
- pay attention to the regulator contacts - they must be closed.
Repairing a blender with your own hands in most cases involves disassembling the case. Most branded models provide for this, but there are also non-separable models. In the latter case, you should be very careful when disconnecting the body elements, and when reassembling, use adhesives.
Malfunctions from the table below are typical for any type of blender:
The knife in the attachment or chopper bowl may be less able to grind, tear or seize pieces during operation. The repair of the chopper in this case consists in replacing it, since the knife cannot be sharpened.
How to disassemble the chopper blender:
- press the axis of the knife with your finger;
- pull it up in a twisting motion.
In most bowls, the knives are removable, and if not, then only replacing the bowl will solve the problem.
If the knife is blunt in the foot of the immersion blender, then how to repair the nozzle? In this case, you can either purchase a new one, or disassemble the nozzle, replacing only one knife.
If the unit stops working, the fuse is probably the problem:
- disassemble the case;
- remove the fuse;
- replace with a new one (the price of a new part is very small).
If the blender does not spin, although it buzzes and clearly shows signs of life, then this may be a malfunction in the engine winding.
It is not recommended to repair it yourself. Try to get a new engine, otherwise you will have to go to the store for a new blender.
When, it would seem, it was possible to determine the malfunction, change the part, but it turned out that the next time it was turned on, the device did not turn on again, then this was probably a short circuit.
In this case, you cannot fix the problem on your own. Such damage cannot be repaired.
We looked at the most common blender breakdowns and how they can be fixed without contacting a service center. I hope that a detailed description of the problem and its solution will help you cope with the repair yourself.
The video in this article has visual instructions for troubleshooting a blender. Have questions? Ask them in the comments!
A blender is an indispensable tool for many housewives in the kitchen, as it greatly simplifies the process of preparing many dishes. Unfortunately, like all household appliances, it can break. Of course, the best option is to contact a specialized service center. If for some reason it is impossible to repair the blender by the forces of specialists, you can try to repair the equipment yourself. In this article we will consider what and in what situation you can do it yourself.
The blender has a fairly simple device. The device consists of a nozzle and an engine. Stationary models are also equipped with a bowl with knives. There is also a cord with a plug for connecting to the mains, speed control, overheating protection.
To know how to fix a blender, you need to know about the most common malfunctions. The most typical breakdowns are:
- No nozzle rotation. The problem is a defective speed switch.
- The device does not work as powerfully as before, grinding and mixing of products does not occur. Sometimes the fault is engine wear, which is inevitable during the operation of the device. If the device is running on battery power, it may not function well due to a malfunction or insufficient charge.
Important! Sometimes the reason may be the wrong choice of products. It happens that the power of the device is simply not enough for a particular purpose.
- The blender is "silent" when turned on. Most often, a faulty engine or battery is “to blame” for this. Sometimes the device may not turn on due to a decrease in mains voltage. It is simply not enough for the normal operation of the device. If there are sounds of turning on, but the device does not work, then, most likely, something got into the chopper.
- There is no speed change. As a rule, the control system or the wiring of the device is faulty.
- Knife break. This malfunction is one of the most common, and it occurs from prolonged and intensive use of equipment. In this case, the shredders cannot be repaired, they only need to be replaced.
Important! Not all models of blenders can be disassembled. If it is monolithic, then you need to give the device to a service center. If the equipment cannot be repaired, then nothing can be done, you will have to go to the store for a new one.
Let's consider all the breakdowns in more detail so that you can understand what you can definitely handle, and what work is better not to even start.
This breakdown happens often, but not everyone can fix it. You need at least basic knowledge in the field of radio engineering. If you want to repair the device yourself, proceed in this order:
- Take apart the blender. You will find a step-by-step algorithm on our website in the article “How to disassemble a blender?”
- Identify the speed controller and unsolder it.
- Using a universal tester, ring all possible options for the positions of the regulator.
Important! Sometimes the work of a stationary blender is blocked due to the fact that the bowl is not installed or not installed correctly. For this reason, if the appliance does not turn on or does not work correctly, check that the bowl is installed correctly.
A sign that the knives are blunt is the lack of chopping of food or uneven chopping. Do not try to sharpen knives at home - this can only be done in a specialized center. If the knives are broken, they cannot be repaired, they can only be replaced.
Three scenarios of further events are possible:
- Knives are parts attached to the container of a stationary structure by means of threads or nuts. If the knives are fixed on the thread, they must be unscrewed, while being careful (it is advisable to wrap the cutting part with a cloth. For knives mounted on nuts, unscrew the latter. After that, the knives can be dismantled without difficulty.
Important! If the oil seal is adjacent to the knife, then it is advisable to replace it.
- The knives are inside the bowl. Such models come across infrequently, but individual stationary blenders are designed that way. To replace the knives, it is necessary to completely dismantle the bowl, disconnect the cutting part and replace it with a new one.
Important! To ensure that there are no difficulties during assembly, it is necessary to photograph or record the entire process.
- There is no way to separate knives and cups. In this case, there is nothing left but to replace the bowl with a new one.
Important! It is necessary to disassemble the bowl and remove the knives only when the power to the device is turned off. To avoid an accident, you need to check everything several times. If the blender is powered by a battery, it must be removed for the duration of the repair.
A very unpleasant situation if the device does not turn on or stops suddenly. This happens if it has been used for a long time, or if the model is of insufficient quality.
Important! To avoid unnecessary problems, you need to purchase household appliances only in a specialized store.
To test the device, follow these steps:
- Remove the nozzle or dismantle the bowl.
- Press the button that blocks the knives.
As the device wears out, it is sometimes pressed against it, and the device is blocked. After releasing the button, the blender starts working again. If the manipulation did not bring any effect, then the motor is faulty.
Important! The blender burned out - can it be repaired? Whether it is worth doing it - decide for yourself, because in most cases the cost of the engine is commensurate with the price of the entire device. Sometimes it's easier to buy new equipment. In a separate post, we have collected all the information about which blender is better to choose.
Sometimes repairing a Polaris blender or another brand with your own hands is not particularly difficult. If the blender does not turn on, check the following points:
- Electricity grid. Sometimes the device does not work due to the fact that the socket into which it is plugged in is faulty. No special devices are needed to test the outlet. Try turning on any working electrical appliance in it: a razor, a hair dryer, or a table lamp.
- Power wire. To test the cord, unplug the device from power and disassemble the case. Measure the voltage on the cord, and then compare it with what you get when measuring at the outlet.
- Fuse. If it is burned out, the device will not turn on. Remove the blown fuse and replace it with a new one.
Important! All specifications for buying a new device are indicated on the old fuse.
- Device fee. Take a close look at the resistors and capacitors. Tracks must be undisturbed. Capacitors should not have bulges, and resistors should not have traces of burning.
Important! Assembly after repairing a Philips blender or another model with your own hands is always carried out in the reverse order. Therefore, do not lay out the details randomly, but follow a certain sequence.
