In detail: blender do-it-yourself repair chopper from a real master for the site my.housecope.com.
A blender is a multifunctional home appliance that is found in almost every kitchen. This is a convenient device that can replace several devices at once. With its help, grind, mix, beat the products. The design of blenders is simple, so they are quite reliable, but even the most reliable technique fails. Consider how to disassemble a submersible and stationary blender, find the cause of the breakdown and do it yourself repairs.
All blenders can be divided into two types - stationary (tabletop) and submersible (hand-held). They differ in design and method of operation, may have different attachments and additional functions. To repair a stationary or hand blender, you need to understand the features of its device.
The hand-held models are long-handled electrical appliances with a cutting attachment. They are dipped into a bowl with products that need to be chopped and mixed, pressed on the start button and held until the procedure is over.
The undoubted advantages of submersible models include compactness. The devices are easy to disassemble for cleaning, plus they need a minimum of space to store them. Blenders with a large number of attachments are versatile and perform a variety of food preparation operations.
There is only one drawback of submersible structures, but it is significant. During cooking, you have to hold the device in your hand while pressing the start button. If you have to do this within 1-2 minutes, the hand gets tired, numb. Such a device is not suitable for frequent use, because does not cope well with mixing large portions of food.

Making Soup with a Hand Blender
Stationary models resemble food processors in appearance and often perform many functions. They are bowls with rotating knives attached to the bottom. Such a device is installed on a table, you do not have to hold it with your hands while working. He is able to grind a large portion of food at a time, copes with mixing cocktails, liquid dough.
Desktop models also have drawbacks. The hostess has to allocate quite a lot of storage and installation space. In addition, some stationary blenders do not grind vegetables well: they either grind into crumbs or remain large chunks. The advantages of tabletop structures include the fact that they are sometimes easier to disassemble and repair with your own hands than submersible ones.
Although the principles of operation of submersible and stationary blenders are similar, there are still differences due to the different design of the devices. In all models, products are chopped with knives, but in tabletop appliances, the bowls also serve as an auxiliary function.
The knife of the stationary appliance, located at the bottom of the bowl, rotates and cuts the food. With an increase in speed, the crushed mass is mixed, rises up. The walls of the bowl expand upward, so small pieces slide along the walls, and large pieces fall into the center - to the knives. It turns out that the crosspiece pulls down the pieces of food and throws the already crushed mass to the walls of the bowl.
It is not uncommon for a blender to be considered broken if it does a poor job of chopping. But it happens that the problem is not in breakdowns, but in the low power of the electric motor. Sometimes it is enough to add a little liquid to the bowl to make the work of the knives easier.
If the model is powerful, then such deviations in operation can really indicate malfunctions, for example, a blunt knife, a broken speed switch, etc. In some cases, problems with the bowl may be the cause of poor performance.
Stationary model device
In submersible structures, collector-type electric motors and fuses are usually installed that turn off the device in case of overload. Frequent breakdown - burning of current-carrying parts, therefore, when a malfunction occurs, first of all, the contacts "ring out" by rotating the shaft by hand.
Care must be taken when using handheld devices: they are not suitable for kneading dough and other thick products. The motor may not be able to withstand the load. Repairs will be expensive. However, there is good news: often women's hands get tired of holding the equipment before the engine has time to overheat.
Many models are equipped with gear shifters. This is a very convenient feature that expands the capabilities of the hostess. But if the engine does not cope, then the working device can break out of the hands, which becomes the cause of mechanical failure.
Submersible model device
In submersible models, the power cable is often damaged. This is the flip side of the main advantage of such devices - mobility. The hand blender is often turned on and off, carried from place to place, which leads to kinks in the cord, incl. critical.
Unstable operation of the power grid is also a risk factor. During power surges, motors often burn, printed circuit boards are destroyed. Often it is necessary to replace the knife, repair the attachment, the speed regulator. In table-top appliances, liquid may leak into the nozzle drive, the bowl snap mechanism may break.
Hand blender repair
Consider how to check the performance of individual structural units:
- If the blender does not turn on, the first thing to check is the presence of current in the electrical outlet. Before disassembling the device for repair, you need to make sure that there are no power problems. The outlet is checked using a tester or by connecting to it another electrical appliance, which has an accurately working cord.
- If there is current, but the blender does not turn on, check the power cable and fuse. Repair in this case comes down to replacing faulty parts with new ones.
- Overloads can burn the motor. In addition to problems with performance, such a breakdown gives off a burning smell. Sometimes the device can be repaired by replacing the brushes on your own, but more often you have to give the blender to a service center for repair or buy a new one.
- When the elements of the printed circuit board burn out, a short circuit occurs. It is necessary to disassemble the equipment, inspect the board, test and, if necessary, re-solder the faulty elements.
- If the gasket leaks, then it must be replaced with a new one. liquid can get on the electric motor and cause more serious repairs.
Diagnostics of malfunctions of the submersible model
Housewives are often faced with a situation where the blender has stopped and the knife is not spinning. It happens that the knife is spinning, the motor and the speed switch are in good order, but when loading the products, the device works "idle" without grinding them. In many cases, repairs can be done by hand. Let's figure out how to do this.

Before disassembling the blender for repair, you should carefully read the technical documentation. Disassembly instructions may be supplied with Bosch, Philips, Scarlett, Polaris models. It is best to follow the manufacturer's recommendations. Otherwise, there is a great risk of permanently breaking the device.
For disassembly and repair, you will need the following tools:
- flat thin screwdriver (if such a screwdriver is not available, it can be replaced with a narrow knife);
- long screwdriver;
- pliers;
- a magnet to reach small parts if you cannot remove them with tools;
- superglue or any other reliable adhesive with which you can restore the integrity of the seams if they are damaged.
DIY blender disassembly procedure:
- Remove all screws, remembering or noting where they are located.
- Remove as many items as possible.
Note! Some craftsmen offer a more radical option for disassembly: a narrow screwdriver or knife is pushed between the body and the casing of the device and the weld is knocked down with an accurate hammer blow. This method is only suitable for non-collapsible models, and superglue is required to reassemble them after repair.
- Parts that could not be removed must be carefully examined. They can be clipped. In this case, they can be removed by pressing the latches.
- When the case is disassembled, you can start checking the performance of parts and repairing.
The most common models of Scarlett ("Scarlet"), Vitek ("Vitek"), Polaris ("Polaris"), Philips ("Philips"), Bosch ("Bosch") are usually disassembled, so they can be repaired by hand, replaced nozzles. Let's consider in what cases self-repair is possible.
- Replacing the knife. If the knife is dull, it can only be replaced, because it cannot be sharpened. New knives are sold in specialized and hardware stores. To replace, remove the old part by wrapping a towel around it and unscrewing it. After that, insert a new knife (it may differ in appearance from the old one), secure.
Important! Sometimes you can buy a new knife complete with an oil seal. It makes sense to replace both parts at once. In some stationary models, the knife cannot be removed from the bowl, because it is not collapsible. Then there remains only the option of a complex replacement of the bowl, knife and gland.
Old and new knives
- Speed regulator. In stationary models, it may be difficult to check the switch, because the function of blocking switching on without a bowl is often provided. By the way, the problem of stopping the operation of the device is also associated with blocking. If you suspect a malfunction of the speed switch, it must be evaporated, each position must be checked in full, and repaired.
- Stopping work. If the device does not turn on, the first thing to do is check and, if necessary, replace the cord. If it turns on and buzzes, but does not work, then disable the lock. Inoperability when the blocking is released most often indicates a burnout of the electric motor winding. It can be replaced, but this is an expensive repair, so more often than not it is more profitable to just buy a new blender.
Note! The problem might be with the circuit boards. Capacitors and resistors are worth inspecting. If a short circuit occurs, then it is better to give the device to specialists. In many cases, damaged electronics cannot be repaired or the cost is too high.
So that you have to disassemble, check and repair blenders with your own hands as rarely as possible, you should adhere to simple rules of safe operation. Check the reliability of attachments before starting work, do not turn on the device without a bowl, do not overload, handle the wire carefully (make sure that it does not bend or twist). The main thing is to follow the instructions for use. These simple measures are quite enough for the equipment to serve for many years without repairs.
Rack structures on the ceiling are used to decorate various premises, both residential and public. The kitchen is no exception. The popularity of this material.
Someone becomes an adherent of this style at first sight, someone is annoyed by its excessive cloying and "mimicry", but completely indifferent shabby.
The financial costs of arranging a kitchen and a bathroom often account for the lion's share of the cost of repairing an entire apartment or private house. No wonder, after all.
This useful device, until recently a curiosity, can now be found in almost every kitchen. Many housewives cannot imagine how they used to do without a blender. Its purpose is to mix products until a homogeneous mass is obtained. But what to do if the device suddenly fails? If you are at least a little versed in electrical engineering, the answer is simple - try to repair the blender yourself.
The most commonly used hand blender. If it is equipped with a rotating bowl, it turns into a stationary one and significantly increases its capabilities.
Before you start repairing a blender, you must first familiarize yourself with its design. The device includes:
- Hermetically sealed plastic housing.
- Electric motor with mains filter.
- Switch.
- Speed controller.
- Replaceable nozzles.
Depending on the type, the wiring diagram can be significantly expanded. Power is supplied from a household electrical outlet with an alternating voltage of 220 W or a built-in battery charged through an adapter.
The principle of operation of the device lies in the transfer of the rotational energy of the electric motor through the adapter, directly to the nozzle. The high speed allows the blender to be used as a chopper or juicer. By adjusting the speed of rotation, it is possible to obtain an optimal consistency of the mixture to be prepared.
Blender malfunctions can manifest themselves both in the electrical circuit and in the work of the mechanics. The most common breakdowns are the result of improper use of the appliance. The reasons for uncharacteristic work or failure lie in overloadwhen the attachments have to rotate with difficulty for a long time. Contamination and lack of lubrication also contribute to this.
The blender is a fairly sturdy device, but it may not withstand a fall from a height or hit by a hard object. This applies to both the case and the circuit inside.
The electric motor is the main part of the device. Its malfunction is signaled by:
- Complete silence of the device.
- Intermittent operation and drop in speed under load.
- The characteristic smell of burnt insulation.
- Sparking through the enclosure and intense heating of the device.
Cheap models have one speed, and the electric motor is powered directly through the diode bridge. To change the rotation speed, a speed controller is added to the device. This circuit can also cause the blender to stop and require repair. Faults in it are manifested by factors similar to those described above.
Mechanical faults are observed breakage of nozzles and their poor adhesion to the adapter located on the motor shaft. The repair of the blender attachment is demonstrated step by step in the video:
In stationary models, breakdowns in the motor rotating the bowl and the clutch providing rotation are added to the described malfunctions.
Self-repair of a blender begins with the preparation of the required tool. You will need a Phillips and flathead screwdriver, a tester (multimeter) and a soldering iron. You need to be prepared that you will have to replace some radio components.
Any repair of household appliances is preceded by an external examination of the device and a check for the presence of power in the network. Pay particular attention to the plug and supply cable. He is examined for integrity and absence of kinks. If damage is found, the cable is replaced with a new or tested used one.
Caution: A damaged wire with a plug should not be repaired by splicing and using electrical tape.The blender is used continuously in the presence of moisture, which may result in a short circuit or electric shock.
Without revealing external flaws, they begin to disassemble the device. This operation must be carried out with extreme care so as not to damage the case. Please note that some models cannot be disassembled. In this case, repairing the blender is somewhat complicated. The housing is not equipped with fastening screws and the joints are glued. You can independently disassemble such a device using an ordinary knife. The procedure is well described in the video:
In other cases, disassembly is carried out with a screwdriver and pressing the latches. Do not forget that after removing the fasteners, the case should open easily, otherwise there is probably a disguised fastening that was missed during the external examination. Disassembly of the Philips blender can be seen in the video:
The Vitek blender has its own characteristics. The halves of the case are fastened with latches, but the main fastening is a screw hidden under the switch, which is removed by carefully prying it off with a screwdriver.
Vitek brand products belong to the budget and blender owners more often than others have to deal with malfunctions of this equipment.
After disassembling the blender, the motor and electrical circuit are removed. They are checked visually. If no obvious damage is observed: the smell of burnt wiring, charring of radio components, jamming of the shaft, poor-quality soldering, you should start dialing.
First of all, the fuse, if any, and the damping resistor are checked. This is followed by the continuity of the diodes. The rectifier capacitor may be the cause of the malfunction. If faulty parts are identified, they are replaced with original ones or analogs. The main thing is that they have the same power. The semiconductor, which is a regulating element, is difficult to check, but these parts rarely fail.
Rotation speed regulation can be carried out smoothly, using a resistor or discretely - with a switch. In both cases, they also need a dial tone.
After making sure that the electrical circuit is working, proceed to check the motor... The collector circuit makes it easy to identify the fault. The smell of burning and the lack of contact between the windings (access to which is carried out by disassembling the motor and freeing the collector) will indicate a burnout. In this case, further repairs are financially impractical.
Sometimes the lack of contact on the windings is justified failure of brushes... They are easy to retrieve and change.
The rebuilt motor group should be easily rotated by hand. All rotating parts must be cleaned and lubricated prior to assembly.
The assembly of the blender is carried out in the reverse order. If you can handle the repair yourself, it won't cost you anything to make a hand blender with your own hands.
The blender is a motor with a special attachment on the shaft. This is a fairly simple device. To start working, a bowl with a knife is attached to the motor shaft. This makes it possible to disable the engine blocking. After the blender, you can work in a pulse or normal mode by pressing the power button. The household appliance is completed with a speed controller, cord, plug. A fuse may also be included.
Are you sure you can handle a DIY blender fix? In this article, we will show you how to disassemble a blender and how to become a near-professional blender repair master. Like most devices, the blender is easy enough to disassemble, the main thing is that there are no unnecessary parts left during assembly.
Today there are three types of blenders available:
- Stationary
- Submersible
- As an option in a food processor.
In all kinds of blenders, the main component is an electric motor. But the principles of operation of a household appliance are somewhat different.Stationary blenders are almost identical in performance to food processors. They consist of two main components: an electric motor and a cookware with a knife placed inside it.
Let's look at the device and how the blender works. Food is placed in the blender bowl. The device turns on and its knife starts to rotate very quickly. The shape of the knife is designed to make the products move in a closed path. The knife of the device is located at the bottom of the bowl and mates with the rotor of the engine. High speed and the right shape allow you to quickly chop the food. The blender blade is shaped like a propeller. This allows him to draw in products for cutting, and at the same time throw the already chopped mass onto the walls of the bowl.
The blender bowl has a special shape that allows the movement of the processed products in a circle. The walls expand towards the top. In this regard, the resulting mass begins to fill the walls, freeing the center of the mold for not yet cut products. As soon as the number of processed products on the wall reaches a critical weight, they fall back onto the knife and further chopping takes place. In practice, all this happens in a matter of moments.
We have described the process that can be observed with quality equipment. Cheaper models may not cope with the task at hand. Lack of power does not allow creating a continuous flow of processed products and the knife begins to cut the air. If you decide to chop the cabbage, add a little water. This will help the knives handle this vegetable.
If the blender does not cope with chopping food, this does not mean that it is broken, it may simply not have enough power. Then add some liquid and try starting the blender again. If this does not help, then perhaps you should do the repair yourself:
- sharpen or replace the knife;
- test the speed switch;
- make sure the engine is working properly;
- check how the bowl connects to the knife.
If you decide to repair the blender with your own hands without involving professionals, then you should start by checking the speed regulator. It's simple. It is necessary to press successively different speeds and determine by ear whether the speed of the rotor is changing. If the speed changes, then the regulator is working, and it is worth checking the blender knife.
Unfortunately, not everyone can sharpen such a knife at home. Therefore, it is not worth experimenting; it is better to purchase a new cutting tool for the blender. In the store, you may encounter the following development of events:
- You have purchased a new blender knife. In this case, it is necessary to remove the old one and put a new knife in its place. You can disassemble the blender with your own hands, for this we disconnect the blender from the network, remove the bowl from it. We take a clean towel so as not to injure ourselves on the sharp edge and begin to unscrew the knife from the motor spindle. The threaded connection here is not standard, but left, so we unscrew it in the opposite direction. Sometimes the knife is connected with nuts. In this case, wrenches and pliers will come to your aid.
- There are models in which you need to disassemble the blender bowl to replace the knife. This is not a problem, but do not forget to replace the oil seal with a new one here.
- And finally, the most inconvenient option is when the bowl cannot be disassembled. In this case, you will have to purchase the entire block: a bowl and a knife.
Failure of the speed regulator of a hand blender is one of the most common occurrences. If so, then the blender is in danger of being disassembled. It is possible to fully check the performance of this unit only in a workshop where there is the necessary equipment. If you have the necessary knowledge in electrical engineering, then you can independently "ring" this part. You will be able to determine if the problem is here.The regulator is dispensed from the blender and is tested in all positions. For normal operation, in each position the regulator contacts are normally closed.
But before disassembling a household appliance, it is worth listening to whether the speed of rotation of the knife changes when switching speeds.
It should be remembered that in most models, the blender cannot be turned on if the bowl is not connected to it. This option is classic, because since the invention of the blender, its creator has emphasized that the equipment will not turn on if the bowl is not installed.
You decided to grind the minced meat, and the blender simply does not turn on! Don't panic right away! This trouble can be solved even easier than if the device worked, but did everything badly.
First, let's click on the button and listen. Is there a quiet hum? It means that the engine is running, but it cannot turn the knife. Disconnect the bowl and use your fingers or a small screwdriver to squeeze the button that blocks the inclusion of the blender. If everything starts working, then the defect has been identified.
If the device does not start even when the blocking is off, then the matter is in the engine, more precisely, in its windings. One or two of them burned down. In this case, the engine must be replaced. If you can manage to buy it at a reasonable price, then you are in luck. But most often its cost is comparable to the cost of a new, not expensive device, therefore it is not economically justified to repair such a blender. Easier to buy a new one!
If, when the button is pressed, you do not hear the operation of the engine, in order to make repairs, it is necessary to examine the power supply circuit:
If you decide to fix the blender yourself, here's the work order. If the device fails during the warranty period, the service center must repair it free of charge. It is better not to disassemble expensive blender models and try to repair it yourself, but you need to contact a specialized workshop. Today, the cost of an expensive blender can be considered 3000-3500 rubles.
The blender made us put food processors, mixers and other appliances in the back cabinet. But, as is typical for household appliances, the blender can fail. Fortunately, in some cases, breakdowns are not so bad, and you can repair the blender yourself. How exactly, I'll tell you now.
Before proceeding directly to troubleshooting, it is important to know the very internal structure and the principle of operation of the unit.
The blender itself is a motor of a certain power, hidden in the body of the handle, which we hold by pressing the button and adjusting the speed (manual). Also, the motor can be placed in a stand case (stationary).
A special attachment with a knife (whisk, crush, etc.) is put on the motor shaft, which rotates the knife or rotates itself when the button is pressed.
The general purpose of both types of devices is the same, but in the event of a breakdown, their own characteristics and subtleties of repair appear.
Sometimes for a blender breakage, poor operation of the knife, slipping during grinding, or the presence of large pieces in the ground mass is taken. This is not a breakdown, but a common problem with low-power models, which, due to the limitation of motor power, cannot cope with solid food. If the unit previously coped with harder fractions, then it is worth examining it for malfunctions.
The general device of the stationary blender:
- bowl with a knife;
- motor shaft;
- bowl latching mechanism;
- electric motor;
- switch and speed controller;
- power cord.
The instructions in the table contain a description and solutions to the most common malfunctions of a stationary blender:
Problem: The bowl of a stationary unit may leak where it is connected to the body.
Solution: bowl repair is a simple replacement of the gasket.
Unfortunately, the part cannot be repaired and you will either have to find a replacement one (which is not always possible), or buy a new device.
The device of a portable blender is somewhat different: the simplest models are very compact and consist of:
- handles with an electric motor;
- speed switch and power button;
- legs (elongated attachment with a "skirt" and a knife);
- power cord.
The set can be supplemented with a grinder bowl, attachments for whipping liquid products, making mashed potatoes, etc.
One way or another, for the submersible blender to work properly, it is often necessary to eliminate the following problems:
The cord is the "weak point" of portable models, since there is a much higher probability of damaging it with an accidental sharp movement, passing it with a heavy object, etc.
- disassemble the handle with the motor;
- we check the condition of the incoming contacts, evaluate the internal elements for breakage;
- we connect a new serviceable cord to the contacts and check the functionality.
If the blender does not work, but emits characteristic buzzing sounds or does not switch speeds, then perhaps the matter is in the regulator:
- disassemble the case;
- with the help of a multimeter we "ring" the part;
- we solder the part if the problem was detected and each position was adjusted;
- pay attention to the regulator contacts - they must be closed.
Do-it-yourself blender repair in most cases means disassembling the case. Most branded models provide for this, but there are also non-separable models. In the latter case, it is worthwhile to disconnect the housing elements with extreme caution, and use adhesives when reassembling.
The malfunctions from the table below are typical for any type of blender:
The knife in the attachment or chopper bowl may be less effective at grinding, tearing, or seizing pieces during use. Repair of the grinder in this case consists in replacing it, since the knife cannot be sharpened.
How to disassemble the blender chopper:
- press the axis of the knife with your finger;
- pull it up in a rotating motion.
In most bowls, the knives are removable, and if not, then the problem will be solved only by replacing the bowl.
If the knife is blunt in the leg of the hand blender, how do I repair the attachment? In this case, you can either purchase a new one, or disassemble the attachment, replacing only one knife.
If the unit stops working, the problem is probably in the fuse:
- disassemble the case;
- remove the fuse;
- we replace it with a new one (the price of a new part is very small).
If the blender does not spin, although it buzzes and clearly shows signs of life, then this may be a malfunction in the engine winding.
It is not recommended to repair it yourself. Try to get a new engine, otherwise you will have to go to the store for a new blender.
When, it would seem, it was possible to determine the malfunction, to change the part, but it turned out that the device does not turn on again when it is subsequently turned on to the network, then this is probably a short circuit.
In this case, you cannot fix the problem on your own. Such damage cannot be repaired.
We examined the most common blender breakdowns and how you can fix them without contacting a service center. I hope that a detailed description of the problem and its solution will help you cope with the repair yourself.
The video in this article provides visual instructions for fixing blender breakdowns. Have questions? Ask them in the comments!
A blender is an indispensable tool for many housewives in the kitchen, as it greatly simplifies the process of preparing many dishes. Unfortunately, like all household appliances, it can break. Of course, the best option is to contact a specialized service center. If repair of the blender by specialists is impossible for some reason, you can try to repair the equipment yourself. In this article we will look at what and in what situation you can do it yourself.
The blender has a fairly simple device. The device consists of an attachment and a motor. Stationary models are also equipped with a bowl with knives. There is also a cord with a plug for connecting to the network, a speed controller, overheating protection.
To know how to fix a blender, you need to know about the most common faults. The most typical breakdowns are as follows:
- Lack of rotation of the nozzle. The problem is a malfunction of the speed switch.
- The appliance does not work as powerfully as before, there is no chopping or mixing of food. Sometimes the fault is due to engine wear, which is inevitable during the operation of the device. If the device is powered by a battery, it may not function as efficiently as possible due to a malfunction or insufficient charge.
Important! Sometimes the reason may lie in the wrong choice of products. It so happens that the power of the device is simply not enough for one purpose or another.
- The blender is “silent” when turned on. Most often, a faulty engine or battery is “to blame” for this. Sometimes the device may not turn on due to a decrease in the voltage in the network. It is simply not enough for the normal operation of the device. If there are sounds of switching on, but the device does not work, then, most likely, something has got into the chopper.
- No switching of speed modes. Typically, there is a problem with the control system or the wiring of the device.
- Broken knife. This malfunction is one of the most common, and it arises from prolonged and intensive use of equipment. In this case, it is impossible to repair the shredders, you just need to replace them.
Important! Not all blender models can be disassembled. If it is monolithic, then you need to take the device to a service center. If the equipment cannot be repaired, then nothing can be done, you will have to go to the store for a new one.
Let's consider all the breakdowns in more detail, so that you can understand what you can definitely cope with, and what kind of work it is better not to even start.
This breakdown happens often, but not everyone can fix it. You need at least basic knowledge in the field of radio engineering. If you want to repair the device yourself, proceed in this order:
- Disassemble the blender. You will find a step-by-step algorithm on our website in the article "How to disassemble a blender?"
- Identify the speed controller and unsolder it.
- Using a universal tester, ring all possible options for regulator positions.
Important! Sometimes the stationary blender is blocked because the bowl is not installed or is not installed correctly. For this reason, if the equipment does not turn on or does not work correctly, check the correct installation of the bowl.
A sign that the knives are dull is that the food is not chopped or chopped unevenly. Do not try to sharpen knives at home - this can only be done in a specialized center. If the knives are broken, they cannot be repaired, they can only be replaced.
There are three possible scenarios for further events:
- Knives are parts attached to a container of a stationary structure by means of threads or nuts. If the knives are fixed on the thread, they must be unscrewed, being careful at the same time (it is advisable to wrap the cutting part with cloth.
Important! If the oil seal is adjacent to the knife, then it is advisable to replace it as well.
- The knives are inside the bowl. Such models come across infrequently, but some stationary blenders are arranged that way. To replace the knives, it is necessary to completely dismantle the bowl, disconnect the cutting part and replace it with a new one.
Important! To avoid any difficulties during assembly, you need to photograph or record the entire process.
- There is no way to separate the knives and cups. In this case, there is nothing left but to replace the bowl with a new one.
Important! Disassemble the bowl and remove the knives only when the power is off. To avoid an accident, you need to check everything several times. If the blender is powered by a battery, it must be removed for repair.
A very unpleasant situation if the device does not turn on or stops suddenly. This happens if it has been used for a long time, or if the model is not of high quality.
Important! To avoid unnecessary problems, you need to purchase household appliances only in a specialized store.
To test the device, follow these steps:
- Remove the attachment or disassemble the bowl.
- Release the knives blocking button.
As the device wears down, it sometimes presses and the device locks up. After releasing the button, the blender starts working again. If the manipulation did not bring any effect, then the motor is faulty.
Important! Burnt out blender - can it be repaired? Whether it is worth doing it - decide for yourself, because in most cases the cost of the engine is commensurate with the price of the entire device. Sometimes it's easier to get new equipment. In a separate post, we have collected all the information on which blender is better to choose.
Sometimes repairing a Polaris blender or another brand with your own hands is not particularly difficult. If the blender does not turn on, check the following points:
- Electricity grid. Sometimes the appliance does not work due to the fact that the socket into which it is connected is faulty. No special devices are needed to test the outlet. Try plugging in any electrical appliance that works, such as a razor, hair dryer, or table lamp.
- Power wire. To test the cord, disconnect the device from the power supply and disassemble the case. Measure the voltage at the cord, and then compare with that obtained when measured at the outlet.
- Fuse. If it is burned out, the device will not turn on. It is necessary to remove the blown fuse and replace it with a new one.
Important! All characteristics for buying a new device are indicated on the old fuse.
- Device board. Look carefully at the resistors and capacitors. The tracks must be intact. There should be no swelling on the capacitors, and the resistors should not have traces of burning.
Important! Do-it-yourself assembly after repair of a Philips blender or other model is always carried out in the reverse order. Therefore, do not lay out the parts randomly, but follow a certain sequence.
