Rotten, with a crumpled hood (it opened from the old owners on the go) but the engine seemed to be 3 plus. I left for exactly a week on this miracle))) I. The engine began to work on 3 cylinders and smoke wildly. Have you decided to remove the block head and see the WTF? Removing the cylinder head, we are a little oh **!

In the 3rd cylinder on the cylinder head and the piston, everything was beaten and, obviously, the valve guide sleeve was not detonated. Naturally she was thrashed and she fell into the cylinder.

It was useless to repair the old cylinder head, the aluminum was too much. I bought a used one for 1500r without 2 valves. Having thought about it, we decided to remove the pistons and change the rings. HA. 9 said. Having removed the pistons, we did not see any particular complaints. But! When they began to remove the rings, the partitions between them crumbled))) So! Good! Let's buy pistons! But which ones? They began to pick up. In general, it was decided to sharpen the block))) They took off the engine, washed it and disassembled it into parts so that a bare cylinder block remained.

Further search for a turner. In Lipetsk there is a very famous turning machine "STO Eletskaya", but recently there have been a lot of complaints about their work. Found on the advice of friends toor. We went to him.

Bottom line: Polishing the block (it was caused by wild overheating), boring the cylinder block and grinding the "head" went to ZOOOR Moreover, the turner asked to immediately buy pistons and he will sharpen each cylinder individually using them.

Collected. Now it was necessary to "shove" the engine back. They took out almost disassembled, but assembled and even put, on our hands we could not, heavy bitch))) Actually, I used to work in the shop of prof. locksmith tools and there were no problems with this. And a lot of tools were needed, tk. trite there was no torque wrench. In general, I took the chain hoist in the same place))

And in conclusion, I will say that this is my first engine bulkhead (not counting the ZAZ-968M). It was scary, but interesting. And I am very pleased with myself))) Now we insulate the garage, cook the stove and in the winter we will digest and paint the body.
