In detail: personal experience DIY repair from a real master for the site my.housecope.com.
Not a single person in their right mind would undertake repairs without convincing themselves of the absolute inevitability of the final result - radiant, extremely useful and extremely necessary. A few tips from someone who has mastered part of this path may help beginners.
My husband and I, knowing the scale of the future pogrom, did not start a global renovation and decided to renovate only the hall and common areas. But in this case, the repair area turned out to be rather big - about 40 m 2.
The situation was complicated by the fact that it was necessary to change all the doors (six interior and entrance), all plumbing equipment (including a shower and a rather large countertop in the bathroom), all kitchen furniture and appliances, adding the previously missing hood, dishwasher and garbage shredder.
It was comforting that the floors (with the exception of the bath and toilet) did not need to be changed - the tiles in the kitchen and in the corridor looked perfect, their installation quality was never satisfactory, the color and texture fit perfectly into the new design project. A refrigerator, washing machine, microwave oven and coffee machine, fortunately, are also ready to serve us for many more years. Now I understand that these factors were not decisive, but they adequately supported our shaky optimism.
A little over a month ago, my husband and I and the cats - we have two of them - returned to our renovated home.
It cannot be said that everything was done in six months of renovation, but the kitchen, toilet and bathroom are fully equipped, interior and exterior doors are in place, the apartment has been cleaned. You can live and, most importantly, with pleasure. After catching my breath, calming down and feeling sufficiently all the charm of the results obtained, I decided to summarize my personal repair experience, which can be useful to many.

The designer, a young energetic woman, impressed us not only with an interesting vision of a familiar space, but also with the exceptional practicality of ideas, taking into account our wishes to the maximum. It was our designer who insisted on the hood, garbage grinder, full-size dishwasher, stone countertops and windowsill. Only regular use of all of this showed us how right she was. Our Soviet youth and my husband did not teach us to seek and value, above all, the comfort of living.
We were offered four options for the kitchen and three options for the bathroom / toilet, as well as several colors for the hall and corridor, based on the need to preserve the floor tiles.
For the dark, northern cuisine, a bright sunny flavor was chosen. White side and interior walls of furniture, white chairs with red seats, a wide white window sill, a white tile apron with cheerful red-green decors and borders, a bright green tabletop perfectly matched the pale yellow color of the walls, light-colored floor tiles and a calm beige tone of facades and screens for batteries.
With the help of our clever designer, I have selected and ordered excellent interior doors. She sent links to the sites of five "door" firms. Of these, I deliberately chose three places not far from the house where it was possible to "touch and smell" the doors of specific models. We ordered everything within an hour.
The situations were similar when choosing a stone for countertops, plumbing fixtures, plafonds, etc. It is difficult to overestimate the participation of a good specialist.
In our case, everything was even simpler. The guys from the invited construction team worked at our dacha for two seasons, building there a lot of useful things for reasonable money and good quality. There was an experience of communication and mutual trust. There were some incidents, but everything was decided through negotiations. Even in our almost ideal case, we had to strictly control everything, especially from the moment the kitchen was dismantled, when we were forced to move out of the apartment.
Again, our designer helped a lot with this, regularly arriving for copyright control. Builders have always clearly “saluted” when it appears.
I sent out the drawings of countertops made by the designer to a dozen companies. I asked to comment on the use of materials of the desired color, to make a calculation taking into account possible discounts, to suggest options for installing various types of sinks, etc. Two responded.
The head of one of these small firms, as it turned out, had previously worked with our designer. He volunteered to drive up the next day with samples of materials. During the visit, I discussed with the designer the design features of a complex kitchen countertop, figured out the possibilities of cutting with maximum material savings - so that the price was minimal.
Additionally, I advised on sinks and options for their attachment. When ordering two countertops, a cover for a bedside table and a large window sill, he offered a substantial discount, gave the measurer's phone number and said when to call him, based on the progress of our repair. Everything was done very clearly and professionally.
Only with such an attitude is there a reasonable hope for a worthy result.
And this is not only due to the fact that something was not taken into account and not included in the estimate. Many things show up directly during the renovation process. The reasons can be very diverse - from changing GOSTs for door frames to love for pets, not to mention fluctuations in the exchange rate and rising prices for imported equipment and materials. A good design project and budgeting will allow you to be more protected from any financial surprises, but you will not be able to completely avoid them.
My husband and I decided to be philosophical about the situation and try to avoid only unjustified expenses. Everything that goes to improve the mental and material comfort of an apartment, find the right money, remembering a reasonable approach and saving.
Kind older children, a daughter and a son-in-law, provided our (and kitties too) an apartment for five months. It was great happiness! Living in repair with animals, while working intensively, is impossible without significant damage to health and mental balance. No, it's just impossible!
The builders did not disappoint with the deadlines. All renovation work under the watchful control of both our side and the designer's side was completed within a month.
But the master who contracted to make us the kitchen is a separate story. He is a wonderful master. In our apartment, in the apartments of older and younger children, at the dacha - everywhere we have his furniture of excellent quality, made for more than reasonable money. True, yes, all this was done practically without reference to a deadline. But when it is impossible to live in your own apartment and it is not known when it will become possible, everything becomes very complicated.
During preliminary negotiations, I persistently explained that an apartment is not a summer residence, that we need to live and work in it, that deadlines are very important. The master nodded his head, fully agreed, but the kitchen was made in an hour by a teaspoon, with alterations due to unaccounted planning features, with the departure of the master with his family on vacation to hot countries, etc. In fairness, I must say that my husband and I then went on vacation, since the vouchers were bought in advance. For almost a month no kitchen work was carried out due to our absence.
Of course, it is necessary to conclude agreements with employees that regulate the behavior and responsibility of the parties. In the case of our master, this was impossible - a cruel joke was played by many years of practice, when everything was done (and mind you, it was done very well!) By oral agreement.
In other cases, we, of course, concluded contracts for work, the terms were controlled everywhere and practically adhered to. The exception is the supply of interior doors, but there I demanded the payment of a penalty.
In the process of repairing, problems surround from all sides, and there is very little positive. In many cases, it is my tired soul and body that thicken the dark colors. Efforts must be made to seek and capture positive emotions.
The obvious cost savings are very consoling. For example, the preserved flooring of the hallway and kitchen, interesting and very positive collections of Russian tiles, good interior doors made in the provinces at quite budget prices, the reuse of the frame of natural wood cabinets in the hallway.
Decent discounts are given when ordering several things in one company
The purchase of various high-quality and necessary things for promotions and sales makes a significant contribution to cost savings. Plumbing, shower system, sinks, an excellent chandelier for the kitchen - all these are items of my acquisitive pride.
Do-it-yourself reduction of clutter in the apartment brings great pleasure at the final stage of the renovation. Having lived in isolation from my packed things, I clearly realized how little needed and completely unnecessary many of them are. I easily parted with a mass of unused dishes and kitchen utensils - gave boxes to relatives and everyone who wanted to. I sorted the books: they took out something to the dacha, and most of them gave it to the 8 factory people's library.
More than two months late! But the kitchen is full of shine! The stage of buying various small things, such as dividing inserts in drawers, new cans for bulk products, various hooks and boxes, bread bins and cutting boards in the color of the interior has finally come.
All this reconciles with a hallway without shelving, without cabinet fronts, without a new bedside table and chest of drawers. You will laugh, but they are made by the same master. I'm not at all worried about the delay in making furniture in the hallway: a month or two, and the hallway will be completed. It is not important. Everything vital for my husband and me and cats is available. The process goes on, life goes on, the future is still bright!
I will present to your attention a bathroom.
Good afternoon to all partakers and just looking at the light. The renovation of my hall, my bedroom, my study, the place for receiving guests and parties, is coming to an end.

What kind of repairs are done in apartments? The Internet has given us a great opportunity to exchange experiences and share inspiration. Many interesting ideas would remain unrealized if people learned about the design of apartments only from thematic magazines or random visits to friends. Now everyone can find extensive collections on the Internet on the topic "apartment design, renovation photos", etc.
However, we offer you something more. In the section Personal experience, apartment renovation, photos, interiors are presented by those participants who were engaged in this renovation and created the interior with their own hands. Here you will find a design project for a studio apartment, a design for a two-room apartment or a townhouse, and just find out what interior styles are, apartments for large families, bachelors, young people and the elderly.
It is worth noting that there are different problems for dwellings of different sizes. The owners of large apartments often resort to the services of a designer who helps them manage free space and competently make redevelopment. However, sometimes the owners of three-, four- and five-room apartments decide to make repairs with their own hands, on their own, and at the same time achieve success. As a rule, the main thing in this situation is to maintain a single style, since sometimes do-it-yourself repairs are fraught with inconsistencies in details, when the design of the hall in the apartment does not match the bedroom in any way, the kitchen lives its own life, and the hallway and corridor have their own.
However, the interior of a small apartment is fraught with no less surprises. It is not for nothing that professionals believe that the design of a one-room apartment (photos of such projects are also presented on our website) requires no less effort and knowledge than large footage, where you do not need to fight for every centimeter.
Here the idea of saving space comes to the fore. For example, not everyone will guess to place a bed in a niche or bay window, because for this, you may have to order furniture, develop a podium project with your own hands, and think over places for storing bedding. However, this will free up square meters in another part of the room, and you can, using real examples, see how a one-room apartment turns into a two-room apartment, and sometimes into a three-ruble note. When you review the numerous interiors of apartments with photos, you may have a new understanding of how to solve this or that problem.
It doesn't matter what you do - finishing the bathroom, repairing the kitchen with your own hands, repairing the room - a photo instruction will always be useful. If the repair is independent, the apartment always deserves attention, since even other people's mistakes are of great value: after seeing and analyzing other people's mistakes, you will not repeat them in your home. What can we say about master classes, which tells how to make a floor with your own hands, how to install partitions, suspended ceilings, etc.
Interior design of apartments is an unusual topic in which everything is of interest: the layout of a tiny studio, the interior of a one-room apartment, photos of spacious apartments, the nuances of choosing colors, choosing interior accessories and much more. It is not the size of the dwelling that is important, the ideas that were used in their design are important.
Will you involve specialists in the design and renovation of the apartment? You decide. However, if you want to make repairs in an apartment on your own, be sure to study the personal experience of other people, learn about the interior design of apartments, and be interested in the technologies for performing work.

The dangerous moment comes at the very end of the renovation, when you only dream that it has already been completed. When accepting apartment renovations from a team of craftsmen, gather the remaining strength and be especially vigilant. Don't make mistakes that you will regret for years.
I will not say that the renovation in my apartment lasted for years - all the work took four and a half months. During this time, a complete dismantling of the floor (up to concrete floors) was carried out, the bathroom and toilet were combined, additional partitions from foam blocks were erected, the walls were aligned and painted, the windows were changed, all the electrics were installed, plumbing was installed, tiles and flooring were laid and even assembled kitchen and curtains matched. But it seems that all this time I did not live, but survived. The last two months were especially terrible - there was not a single evening (including on weekends) when I was not in some building hypermarket, in IKEA or, finally, in an apartment.
The builders all the time lacked something to work, and they wanted to finish as quickly as possible: the next object was next in line, and they were already out of schedule. The moment of handing over the finished apartment to me was delayed all the time - they were talking about the 5th, then about the 8th, then about the 15th. As a result, "X-day" was set for Saturday, June 20. Despite the fact that the day before the workers told me to come in the morning, the next day the foreman called me and asked me to come in the evening, because they were still hanging shelves and painting something. I did not attach any importance to this and agreed.
In the evening I arrived, took a quick look at the apartment, paid off with the brigade. I was in the apartment a thousand times already, I followed the process all the time and thought that I had thoroughly studied every centimeter of living space. After that there were about ten days in the "moving" mode, then - the analysis of things. The first problems began two or three weeks later. I complained to acquaintances about the vicissitudes of fate, and it turned out that many had similar problems after the completion of the repair work. As a result, I formulated 5 main mistakes that people make in such a situation. Don't repeat them!
It turns out that this is a common sore spot. The team is playing for time, talking about some minor tweaks (and it may well be, and the truth is doing something). As a result, it’s about midnight, and you just entered the finished apartment. In my case, a friend's car was parked near the house, who had been waiting for several hours, so the whole acceptance of the work took about 15 minutes. It was a pure formality: I had already seen everything many times, so I looked only at the kitchen shelves that were day. The cracked tiles in the bathroom (on which something was dropped on the last day of work - everything was normal the day before), I noticed only a week later. If the builders are doing everything so that you accept the work late at night, never agree.Stand your ground, make an appointment for the next morning (if there is a day off ahead) - you have the right to inspect everything thoroughly and only then pay for the work.
By the time I learned about how wise people check the health of the entire power grid, I had already managed to fix everything that was defective. Only the telephone sockets, of which there are already four in the apartment, still do not work. It turns out that you need to check everything.
Take your mobile phone and try to charge it at each outlet. Working? Great, moving on to the next one. We do the same with telephone connectors and USB sockets. All equipment and all sockets must be checked.
Everything was installed, the indicators of the color I needed, as it seemed to me, blinked everywhere. First of all, I realized that the boiler in the bathroom was not working (the hot water was turned off, I tried to heat it up, but when it was turned on it started to flow). After that, I discovered that there were not enough plugs on the top of the heated towel rail - this did not affect the functionality, but it looked terribly ugly. It turns out that they were simply lost. However, when the hot water was turned on again, the heated towel rail did not work. As a result, I called the district plumbers five times to fix one or the other. The plugs from the heated towel rail were presented to me by a sales assistant from a construction hypermarket after hours of persuasion - I can say that I was lucky: such a model was an exhibition model, and you cannot buy them separately.
It seemed to me that since I followed all the stages of the renovation, there was nothing that I could miss on the last day. However, I did not take into account that the parts checked two weeks ago could be damaged by the workers later. Or unfinished something. For example, a few weeks later I discovered a large scratch on the floor that had been lovingly made with the refrigerator. The cornice in one of the rooms was attached too close to the ceiling, and it turned out to be problematic to remove it in order to hang the curtains. I've already talked about the cracked tiles in the bathroom.
On the day when I accepted the renovation, I still noticed a couple of little things. And the builders themselves showed me that they did not have time to touch up the platbands on the doors (the joints with the skirting board) and put the backlighting behind the cornice. Perhaps it was a distraction in the hope that I did not notice more serious flaws. Of course, they needed money, and naturally, they needed it that day, because "the children need to be fed." I gave up slack and settled with them, but with the proviso that they will come one evening in the coming week and finish what they promised. No, they did not deceive and came to finish what they promised, but it happened more than a month later. By that time, I had already fixed some of the problems for additional money with other masters.

Do not miss:
The articles are not legal advice. Any recommendations are the private opinions of the authors and invited experts.
The story began like this: I moved to another apartment. In the kitchen there was already a living, but generally decent set, and for a while we tried to make friends with him. However, having banged my head on a low hood and getting tired of disassembling a mountain of pots in the depths of the lower cabinet every time on my knees, I decided: just as clothes should fit perfectly, so the kitchen should be “sewn” according to my measurements. I ordered new furniture from IKEA and have already described this experience from the technical side in a series of articles:
But I would like to talk about a simple and important thing: the decisions that each of us makes before any independent repair. There were some mistakes, so I hasten to share my experience on which it is cheaper to study than on my own.
At the beginning, I focused on my goal: I need new furniture, so we are changing it. Then, as usual, the list grew a lot.As a result, only the ceiling and walls, covered with cream-colored PVC slats with a marble-like pattern, were not included in the renovation plan. What happened in the end? A beautiful minimalistic kitchen, new shiny chrome appliances, decent modern linoleum and completely out of style and spoiling the impression of the walls and ceiling.
Morality: when making partial renovations or changing furniture, make sure that all the elements will be in harmony with each other. Or better approach the process thoroughly.
I think everyone is familiar with this law of meanness firsthand: trying to save money, in the end you will lose. But what to do if you want to save and even need to? In this article, "How to save money on kitchen renovation: 9 tips", you will find out what you can really save on, and what it is better to spend money on.
Personally, next time I will choose more expensive materials for the stove and sink. Inexpensive stainless steel is easy to scratch, leaving permanent dark spots and hard water streaks. The first time I didn't wash the stove right after use (and I gave up pretty quickly), overnight a small area of steel changed its color. Irreversible. And every new scratch on the sink still gives me almost physical pain. Of course, all materials have their drawbacks. If you are just looking for a sink for the kitchen, go here: "Kitchen sink: how to choose the material and type of installation."
Morality: read research articles before buying, pay attention not only to the technical characteristics and price, but also to the material. It largely depends on him how long the object will retain its attractive appearance.
By the way, more expensive materials are not always more convenient. A countertop with a layer of solid wood at IKEA is more expensive than an artificial one, but making sure that nothing wet and no drops remain on it is not an easy task. I use a towel to wipe the countertop dry after every cook, but I can already feel a couple of seams with my fingers.
From a convenience point of view, I also allowed a couple of jambs:
- Lack of a kitchen apron. PVC panels are far from the best choice of material for a kitchen backsplash. We covered the panels ourselves with hard cardboard and glued on top of a self-adhesive film with a slate effect. A screen from an old stove was placed behind the hob. Now the wall is not so afraid of fat and water and you can draw with chalk, although the film was only glued with bubbles. Still, nothing has been invented better than an apron made of glass or tiles.
- Sink by the wall in the corner. My kitchen is planned with the letter G. Wanting to increase the continuous work surface due to the sink wing, I put the sink in a corner and turned the wing away from the wall: anyway, the machine washes the dishes for me. Now something is drying on the wing all the time, it is almost not functional when cooking, and it’s hard to reach the sink in the corner, because the food also needs to be washed, and cutting boards are not dishwasher-safe.
Morality: when coming up with something non-standard, play all the details in your head many, many times before buying, or even better - find a realized idea and try it live.
It is worth saying that I made a few more non-standard decisions, which did not disappoint me. For example, I completely abandoned the hood, and instead of wall cabinets I chose open shelves.
Good luck with the renovation! And don't repeat my mistakes.
Many citizens undertake the design of their home in person. They like to use new building materials, they experiment with colors, installation methods. A man in love with private construction and renovation carries out the design with his own hands. At the same time, no one will have such or a similar design. After all, personal design is associated with individual concepts of beauty and comfort. They appear thanks to individual desires and decisions, information from books, movies or the Internet.Often the design of a private house with their own hands is associated with the equipment of the arch at the entrance. This design is associated with a covered corridor. The columns will support the cover and beautify the corridor space. You can lay some of the walls on both sides by about 80 cm. This arrangement will prevent rain and snow from entering the path leading to the house. The most effective way to decorate the path is hanging flowerpots. The length of the path can be of different sizes according to the wishes of the owners and the possibilities of architecture.
When decorating a private house design with your own hands, you can use a hedge. Some owners build a semicircular frame from metal bars or reinforcement. Wild grapes, vines or other climbing plants are planted on the sides. They will be guided in such a way as to provide an arched green shelter. The hedge includes plants from kampsis, clematis, honeysuckle, wisteria, climbing roses.
Many owners who design a private house with their own hands do not erect brick half-walls on the sides, do not build a roof, but plant several thujas on both sides of the entrance. When the plants reach 2 meters, a hedge can be made from them, tying them to the trunks with soft material. Tui have a flexible trunk that can bend freely, arranging a wonderful green entrance for the owners. The ropes are loosened annually by repeating the arched bend. At the time when the thujas close together, they are cut off, providing a beautiful corridor of thujas.
In addition to a beautiful arched entrance with green plants, it is possible to design an arch in the door. Such an opening looks beautiful at the beginning or end of the corridor. If the plan provides for a long corridor, then at its end one or more semicircular openings leading to the living rooms will look beautiful. From personal experience, I know that arches in a doorway are a great solution for creating a cozy interior. Before decorating my house with arches, I studied a large amount of relevant material. Arches can have different types associated with the organization of door openings in style:
- classicism, (arcs have the correct radius);
- modern style with a raised arc;
- romanticism, with a straight line in the center and rounded corners;
- ellipsoidal (the arc of the arch is formed in the form of an ellipse).
My personal experience with the idea for renovation is based on the creation of classic arched structures at the beginning of the corridor and at the entrance to the kitchen and hall. I had to equip three openings.
The most laborious is the method of chiselling the old doorway along the previously outlined contours. I had to use this method when arranging the front door. The arched structures leading to the kitchen and the hall were carried out with the help of plasterboard. There is a desire to share personal experience ideas for renovation
He began work by installing aluminum guides, attaching them after about 15 cm.On a sheet of cardboard, he drew a template for a future semicircular opening in full size. Then I cut out individual parts from drywall in the form of triangles with rounding. I attached these parts to the opening, two on each side. Then I attached the drywall to the metal profile with screws. An incision in the profile walls after 5 cm allowed me to bend it along the curve of the arch. Held fastening the resulting structure between the drywall triangles.
In places where the profile touched the ends of the opening, he bent it inward and secured it with dowels. I cut off the protruding parts of the drywall and metal profile. I cut out a strip from drywall, which was 3 cm wider than the opening and 12 cm longer from the bend of the arch. Every 8 cm I drilled holes in the drywall, wetting them with water so that it could bend. Gently attached the plasterboard strip to the end profiles. A day later, when the drywall was dry, putty the entire structure, and after drying, sanded it. My personal experience of the idea for the renovation was to the liking of all members of the family.
No matter what the construction teams say in favor of their qualified work, doing the repairs with your own hands gives great pleasure to the home craftsman. There are jobs that are not subject to self-taught. But what can be done on their own, they do with great pleasure.
They appear thanks to individual desires and decisions, information from books, movies or the Internet.
Often the design of a private house with their own hands is associated with the equipment of the arch at the entrance. This design is associated with a covered corridor. The columns will support the cover and beautify the corridor space. You can lay some of the walls on both sides by about 80 cm. This arrangement will prevent rain and snow from entering the track. leading to the house.
If the plan provides for a long corridor. then at its end one or more semicircular openings leading to the living rooms will look beautiful. From personal experience, I know that arches in a doorway are a great solution for creating a cozy interior. Before decorating my house with arches, I studied a large amount of relevant material. Arches can have different types associated with the organization of door openings in style :
- classicism, (arcs have the correct radius)
- modern with a raised arc
- romanticism with a straight center and rounded corners
- ellipsoidal (the arc of the arch is formed in the form of an ellipse).
My personal experience with the idea for renovation is based on the creation of classic arched structures at the beginning of the corridor and at the entrance to the kitchen and hall. I had to equip three openings.
The most laborious is the method of chiselling the old doorway along the previously outlined contours. I had to use this method when arranging the front door. The arched structures leading to the kitchen and the hall were carried out with the help of plasterboard. There is a desire to share personal experience ideas for renovation
Have you ever got down to business with no idea how to bring it to mind?
For my husband and I, the renovation of the hall has become such an event. Well, of course, we were once junior assistants in the repair of our parents, we held a responsible position, fetch or fetch. But now everything was different. Our situation was aggravated by the presence of three children, the youngest of whom is six months old.
The main criterion for choosing materials was environmental friendliness and durability. Although with three children, the safest thing is to just asphalt.
Floor. The main dilemma was between linoleum and laminate. Linoleum is somewhat cheaper in price. You can write on it and overturn jars of water, carried away by drawing. But he cannot be saved from spilled brilliant green and accidental cuts.
But with a laminate, this problem can be eliminated if desired - you can remove the spoiled board and put a new one. If you remove the water from the laminate immediately, then nothing threatens it. Long lasting. Resistant to abrasion. Well, the appearance is very attractive. It was decided to purchase 33 class laminate flooring.
Walls. Looking around, it was obvious that only paintable wallpaper would do. Along the perimeter of the room, rock paintings flaunt at the height of the child's height. Above the entrance to the hall - sprinkle positively! The most convenient thing is to just paint over the next splashes.
Foamed paintable wallpaper, although it attracted us with its price, was rejected due to the presence of a very attractive surface for picking with marigolds.
Hot embossed wallpaper - great! The abundance of shades and surface patterns is striking. They are very thick and washable. Confused by the fact that they look like a dense hard oilcloth. With such walls, the microclimate in the room is disturbed.
Our choice fell on fiberglass. Very resistant to mechanical damage, the ability to repaint up to 20 times and wash with a brush with detergents! Moreover, they are absolutely environmentally friendly! They immediately took acrylic water-based paint and color scheme.
Ceiling it was decided to simply paint it with water-based paint. Fortunately, we have it as flat as a testicle.
When the old wallpaper was removed, a concrete wall was found underneath it, all in small holes. It is necessary to putty (oh! What should we have decided!). All putty. Some with a spatula, some with their palms. The three-year-old was stirring with a spoon so as not to freeze. At the very least - it worked out.
The next day, they began to glue the fiberglass. Just a song, not a wallpaper. They are very simple and obedient in their work. Easy to cut, easy to glue. It is very easy to customize the drawing. Our eldest son, a first-grader, played with this work.
The only negative memory is a wet brush with glue, which was in charge of a three-year-old. He rubbed my feet.
Another minus - when working with fiberglass, it slightly tingles hands. So it's better to work with gloves. After priming with diluted glue, they do not prick.
A day later, we started painting. This is a holiday! A lot of pleasure and emotions. Painted quickly and in a good mood. True, at the same time, something that was not supposed to be colored: part of the books, the upholstery of the chair and the cat. The latter was offended for two days.
Day x - laying laminate... I hadn't slept the night before, hugging my six-month-old daughter, imagining with horror how my little boys would be happy, and how nervous our dad would be. But, as you know, the morning is wiser than the evening. The next morning they gave me half an hour to collect my entire brood and took me to a neighboring area to see my relatives. Instead, the folk crazy Dmitry and his brother Maxim were discharged from there for one day. The day passed quickly. We got home late in the evening. Having woken up the elders who had fallen asleep in the taxi, I stepped over the threshold of the apartment with the baby in my arms and was stunned! In front of me, beautifully running away with planks of light oak, a laminate was lying and smiling! Handsome! The surroundings were clean, beautiful and very comfortable. The tired husband smiled contentedly. The children gasped, as in the well-known program of the happy owners after renovation. My soul was light and joyful.
Here it is! Happiness! (A cat with a twitching eye does not count.)
Already falling asleep, I dreamed of how we would repair two children and an orphan kitchen, but this is a completely different story!
