Makita 4610 DIY repair

In detail: Makita 4610 DIY repair from a real master for the site my.housecope.com.

Operation of the Makita DCS4610 chainsaw

I bent the tire from the DCS4610 chainsaw by 3 mm. Can I get it straightened or buy the latest tire?

There is nothing complicated. Iron plates are inserted into the grooves of the tire in the straightening zone to prevent narrowing of the grooves, then the tire is leveled with hammer blows. If, with all this, dents appear, cracks in the tire sheets, rivets burst, or instead of the twisting of the tire, its “screw” appears, then the tire is only ejected.

I had a Makita DCS4610-40 chain saw - The bar of this chainsaw is 40 cm long. The chain on the bar consists of 56 links, the chain pitch is 3/8 inch. The width of the 1st groove is 1.3 mm. adjusting the carburetor of the makita chainsaw.> »Video gallery» Renault »Video: MAKITA DCS4610 40 chainsaw Do-it-yourself car repair throttle motor lubrication adjustment. I got a saw of Husqvarna 135 - the characteristics of the chain are the same, except for the 1st: on the chain Makita (on the links the Dolmar brand) between the cutting teeth there are the highest links, stoppers or something. Why are these highest links and will this chain fit on Husqvarn's saw?

It will do, and the chain with the highest links has anti-vibration characteristics and is the least prone to reverse shock.

I found such a problem, who knows, tell me, the 4610 chainsaw when turning over on the gas tank lid, after a while, gasoline is running from somewhere, but not from under the lid (twisted tight), I suppose that from the carburetor, it should be like that, or it's some kind of discrepancy and how to solve it?

When turning over on the tank lid, the carburetor is high, it cannot run through it. Alternatively, it can run through a pressure equalizing valve. I also saw this once, do not turn the saw onto the gas tank and there will be no difficulty.

Chainsaw dcs4610... Maybe someone has come across this saw no longer supplying oil to the chain. Does it make sense to try to find the fault yourself? Or still give it for repair, what kind of complexity can it be?

You can try pouring pure gasoline into the oil tank, start the saw and turn it off a little. If it does not help, it is better to send it for repair. I encountered such a problem several times on Makit DCS 34 and Dolmar PS 45. In all cases, the reason is jamming and, as a result, wear of the oil pump gear teeth. The Makita dcs4610 chainsaw meets everyone in the saw carburetor adjustment is allowed. But in these saws, to get there, you need to disassemble almost the entire saw. I do not know your capabilities in these matters. For a beginner, such a task is very difficult, almost impossible.

There is a chainsaw Makita 4610-40, recently it has begun to stall sometimes, that is, it starts up normally, but you release the gas and it stalls. It stalls due to the fact that the starting valve, which must be pressed before starting, after it has wound up, does not come out back (as if it sticks there). I thought it was due to dirt, but unscrewed the case, cleaned it, wiped it, but it did not help. When I removed the case, I noticed that there is a small hole on the nut on which the button runs. So the question is - maybe you just need to pour oil there in order to lubricate, I'm afraid not to spoil it at all.
