When sparking is visible on the spark plug but the burner is idle, check the following points:
whether the spark electrode has moved relative to the nozzle;
whether the traction or overheating sensor that opens the solenoid valve circuit is out of order;
does it pierce a high-voltage wire onto the case;
spark has diminished due to plugged plug or battery discharge.
The electrode should be located directly above the nozzle of one of the burner sections at a distance of no more than 5 mm from it. A violation of the position of the candle is corrected by simple bending. Sometimes it is enough to clean the end of the electrode from soot to increase the spark power.
The operation of the traction and overheating sensors is checked by direct closure of their contacts. Place jumpers on each device in turn, including the water on the faucet.If a flame appears, replace the faulty sensor.
If the flame in the column lights up properly together with the appearance of a water draw, and after 5-10 seconds it goes out, then the reasons may be as follows:
the ionization sensor does not work (does not detect the ignition of the fuel);
there is no draft in the chimney, which is why the corresponding sensor overheats and opens the electrical circuit;
the maximum heating is set at a low water consumption, which is why its temperature quickly reaches 90 ° C and the overheating sensor is triggered.
The last 2 malfunctions do not depend on the water heater and are eliminated by the user on an individual basis. Sometimes the damping effect is created by a diaphragm that is too stretched: at the first moment after water is supplied, it moves the stem, and when the pressure in the pipe is normalized, it releases again.
The flame sensor fails for three reasons:
The electrode is covered with a thick layer of soot and requires cleaning.
The "nose" of the device is bent down from prolonged exposure to temperature and needs to be slightly bent up, as shown in the video.
The device is out of order and needs to be replaced.
The opposite situation also happens: the DHW tap is closed, and the burner continues to work. Here there is a jamming of the stem, which is eliminated by disassembling and cleaning the water-gas block.
There are two reasons for this phenomenon: clogging of the burner nozzles and deposits in the heat exchanger tubes. In the first case, a change in the blue color of the flame to yellow or reddish is noticeable, the gas burner device begins to smoke. To eliminate it, it is advisable to call the gas service master, but if necessary, you can handle it yourself:
Shut off the gas supply.
Dismantle the burner by unscrewing the compression nut on the gas line and 4 screws not shown below.
Purge the assembly in an accessible way to remove dust, and then wash with a mild soapy solution.
Dry the device and re-assemble the column in reverse order.
If the burner operates properly, but the water does not heat up, then the heat exchanger must be flushed. The factory - the manufacturer provides for a simplified dismantling of the element: drain the water from the column, unscrew the two connecting nuts on the pipes (shown in the photo with green arrows) and 2 fastening screws from above. After that, immerse the heat exchanger in a bucket with citric acid solution (100 grams per 1 liter of water) and wait until it corrodes the scale. After thoroughly rinsing and drying, reinstall the element.
Advice. When reassembling the heat exchanger, it is advisable to change the rubber gaskets inside the union nuts.

Removing the lining of the gas column Neva 4511
- Remove the handles 10 by pulling them towards you.
- Unscrew the two self-tapping screws at the bottom of the product that fasten the cladding 8 to the frame bracket 1.
- Disconnect the wires connecting the display with the electronic control unit and with the water temperature sensor.
- Pull the lower part of the casing towards you, slide it up and remove it from the device.
Burner replacement
- Disconnect the wires from the spark plug 12 and from the flame detector 15.
- Unscrew the union nut of the burner manifold 3.
- Unscrew the two screws securing the burner 3 to the brackets of the frame 1 and remove the burner.
- Check the tightness of the joints that were disassembled on the operating device by soaping.
- Check the operation of the new burner while the machine is running.
Replacing the heat exchanger of the gas column Neva 4511
- Unscrew the two self-tapping screws securing the strip 17 to the gas venting device and remove it.
- Unscrew the two union nuts from the connections of the heat exchanger 2 and remove it.
- Check the tightness of the joints, which were disassembled on the working device by the method of soaping for gas and visual inspection for water.
Replacing the battery compartment
- Disconnect the two wires from the battery compartment 11.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Unscrew the two screws securing the battery compartment to the bracket and remove it.
- Install a new battery compartment.

Replacement of a water-gas unit (UVG)
- Disconnect the three wires from the solenoid valve 27.
- Disconnect two wires from microswitch 21.
- Disconnect the gas and water supply to the device.
- Disconnect the adapter 19 from the water-gas unit 5.
- Unscrew the four screws securing the water-gas unit to the frame bracket 1 and remove the water-gas unit.
- Install a new water-gas unit.
- After installing and connecting the water-gas unit, check the gas and water connections for leaks. Water and gas leaks are not allowed.
- Check the operation of the device with a new water-gas unit.
Replacing the valve of the electromagnetic unit of the water-gas
- Disconnect the three wires from the solenoid valve 27 of the water-gas unit 5.
- Unscrew the two screws securing the solenoid valve and remove it.
- Install a new solenoid valve.
- Check the functionality of the device with a new solenoid valve.

Replacement of the unit of water UVG
- Disconnect the water supply to the water-gas unit.
- Disconnect the nut of the cold water outlet pipe to the heat exchanger 2 from the water unit 31.
- Unscrew the two screws securing the water unit 31 to the body of the water-gas unit.
- Unscrew the two screws securing the water unit 31 to the frame bracket 1 and remove it.
- Install a new water unit.
- Check the connections for leaks. Water leakage is not allowed.
- Check the operation of the device with a new water unit.
Replacing the thermostat (water overheating sensor)
- Disconnect the two wires from the thermostat 14 on the hot water outlet pipe 7.
- Unscrew the two screws securing the thermal relay with clamp 25 and remove it.
- Install a new thermostat.
- Check the operation of the device with a new thermostat.
Replacing the water temperature sensor
- Disconnect the two wires from the temperature display 13.
- Unscrew the water temperature sensor 16 from the hot water outlet pipe 7.
- Check the operation of the Neva 4511 gas water heater with a new sensor by comparing the water temperature readings on the display and the thermometer readings when measuring the hot water temperature at the outlet of the apparatus.
Replacing the cold water supply pipe to the heat exchanger
- Unscrew the union nut from the connection of the water unit.
- Unscrew the union nut from the pipe connection 6 of the heat exchanger 2 and remove the pipe together with the gaskets 28.
- Install a new pipe with new gaskets.
- Check the operation of the device. Water leakage is not allowed.
Replacing the hot water outlet pipe from the heat exchanger
- Disconnect the wires and remove the thermal relay 14 by unscrewing the clamp screws 25.
- Unscrew the hot water temperature sensor 16.
- Unscrew the two screws securing the hot water outlet pipe union 7 to the bracket on the rear wall of the frame 1.
- Unscrew the pipe nut 7 from the heat exchanger pipe connection 2 and remove the pipe.
- Check the operation of the device. Water leakage is not allowed.
Replacing the thermal relay (draft sensor)
- Disconnect the wires from the thermal relay 14.
- Remove bracket 23 from thermal relay 14 from GOU by pressing the latch on the bracket.
- Unscrew the two screws securing the thermostat 14 to the bracket 23 and remove the thermostat.
- Install a new thermostat.
- Check the functionality of the device with a new thermostat.
Replacing the electronic control unit of the geyser Neva 4511
- Disconnect all external connecting wires and connectors of the electronic control unit 4.
- Unscrew the two screws securing the electronic control unit to the bracket on the rear wall of the frame 1 and remove it.
- Install a new electronic control unit.
- Check the operation of the VPG-18 water heater with a new electronic unit.
Replacing a spark plug or flame detector
- Disconnect the wires from the spark plug 12 and from the flame detector 15.
- Unscrew the two screws securing the rail 24 to the bracket 20 and remove it.
- Replace spark plug or flame detector.
- Check the operation of the device with a new spark plug or new flame detector.
Replacing the microswitch (water flow sensor)
- Disconnect two wires from microswitch 21.
- Unscrew the two screws securing the microswitch to the UVG and remove it.
- Install a new microswitch.
