In detail: Opel Tiger DIY repair from a real master for the site my.housecope.com.
Repair and maintenance of Opel Corsa B, Combo, Tiger. Opel Corsa B / Combo / Tigra (from 1993 to 2000 of release)
The release of the new model began in 1993. Korsa is a typical representative of the biodesign era. At that time, the smallest car from "Opel" did not change much in appearance. It just became smoother, more round. As before, options for three- and five-door Hatchback bodies are offered, and later a sedan appeared (a native of one of the branches of the GM concern, it is extremely rare). The exterior has been slightly retouched (cladding, bumpers, moldings). The geometry of the front suspension has been slightly changed - it is believed that now the car is better controlled in critical situations. The front ends of the stretch marks are installed in hydraulic supports: they reduce the noise during suspension operation, make the steering less susceptible to external influences (jolts, wheel imbalance, etc.) The most dramatic changes have occurred in the range of Opel Corsa engines.
The engine management system is arranged in a new way - that is, ignition and fuel injection. Modern microcircuit technology has made it possible to fit the control unit into a flat box: 150x100x10 mm - less than an accounting calculator. It was placed not in the cabin, but directly on the engine. In addition, we used individual ignition coils that were put on directly on the candles - many wires and contacts became superfluous, and the likelihood of typical defects and interference decreased. Candles with two "mass" electrodes require replacement only after 60 thousand km - someone will have time to part with the "Corsa" without having done this operation.

The car received a different power steering (installed for a fee): a DC electric motor (12 V, 45 A), which is connected to the steering shaft by a worm gear. It is controlled by a microprocessor, receiving signals from sensors of speed, engine speed and torque on the steering shaft. This ensures that the amplification effect is precisely matched to the maneuver being made.
The automatic transmission (installed on request and only on models with a 1.4 engine) is electronically controlled and has four speeds and three modes of operation: economical, sporty and winter. Additionally, a special mode is provided for starting the car in winter.
In the doors - elements of passive safety - double steel beams. In the front, there are crash sensors that activate the airbags, the seat belt pre-tensioning system, and a separate sensor removes all central locking. The kit includes an electronic anti-theft device controlled by a standard key through the ignition lock. The backrest of the rear seat can now move around the lower axis of the attachment, changing its tilt and increasing the useful volume of the trunk.
There are several configuration options for the Opel Corsa: “City” is the simplest and cheapest, “Swing” is the most common and everyday, “Sport” is an option for sports drivers, “CDX” is the most complete list of options supplied as standard equipment, “JOY ”- youth option. In addition, the Germans are traditionally very fond of producing cross complete sets, each of which is then given its own name, such as “CDX JOY”. And for the World Cup in France, a specially prepared batch of Opel Kors - "World Cup" (Standard installed: tachometer, power steering, ABS, radio, sunroof and cast 14-inch wheels. And for this party such a "package" will cost much (1520 marks) cheaper than ordered at another time for a regular car).At the request of the buyer, the Opel Corsa can be installed: automatic transmission (only with engine 1.4), external electric heated mirrors, electric sunroof, air conditioning, ABS, alloy wheels, leather steering wheel, tinted windows, central locking, front power windows, more expensive audio system.
In 1999, they decided to “freshen up” the six-year-old car. And as a result, the third generation of babies from Opel was born. Since October 2000, Opel has released the third generation of Kors. The exterior of the updated "Corsa" is designed in the style of the middle class model "Opel Vectra". On a small car, the familiar features of the older “sister” look unusual, but, oddly enough, they fit well into the overall style.
The choice of bodies remained unchanged. Three and five-door options are still offered with one of 6 engines. Only now the body, like that of the Astra model, is completely galvanized. Opel gives the same 12-year warranty against corrosion penetration.
Changes affected the front and rear, as well as interior elements, the range of engines also changed. The most recent and interesting design element of the novelty can be called the vertical taillights, located on the rear pillars. This solution has two indisputable advantages. Firstly, it was possible to increase the width of the fifth door, and secondly, in the event of an accident, the lanterns remain intact. “Opel-Korsa” of the third generation is slightly longer (3810 mm versus 3740 mm) and wider (1640 mm versus 1610 mm) of its predecessor. Vehicle weight - 960 kg. Trunk volume - 280 liters.
For the new Corsa, a new chassis (DSA - Dynamic Safety) has been developed to ensure safe and comfortable driving. The front suspension has also been significantly redesigned, with great attention paid to the acoustic noise of the car.
The car is powered by a range of engines, including a 1.2-liter 75 horsepower and a 90-horsepower 1.4-liter petrol engine. Among the units is an ultra-efficient one-liter engine that consumes only 4.7 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. All engines of the new car meet stringent European emission standards.
In addition to manual gearboxes and a four-speed automatic transmission, those who wish can order the Easytronic semi-automatic sequential gearbox. This is a novelty - a hydromechanical automatic with a manual switching system. It is a manual gearbox equipped with three stepper motors, coordinatingly driving the gearshift and clutch mechanisms. With all the additional hitch, such a gearbox is heavier than the usual one by only 4 kg.
The shift lever, reminiscent of an “automatic” selector, moves in a U-shaped slot, there are only two pedals under your feet. The clutch engages and disengages automatically upon a signal from the computer. All control of the box is assigned to electronic brains. And the shift lever is more of a joystick that the driver uses to communicate his commands to the smart electronics.
Key in the lock, foot on the brake pedal, gear lever in neutral. This is the starting position for starting the vehicle. Lever to the left, towards yourself - and the gear number is displayed on the instrument panel display: one, you can go. The transmission allows you to choose between automatic and pseudo-handheld modes. In the first case, the electronics are engaged in changing gears depending on the speed and acceleration. Moreover, by pressing the button with a snowflake, you can make the automatics think like winter, that is, get under way and perform switching very smoothly. After neutral, the machine is turned on by default. Despite the fact that the torque converter is absent as a class, the Easytronic mode feels like a traditional automatic. In quiet mode, gear changes occur at 3500 rpm without jerking or extraneous sounds. If you press on the gas harder, then you can feel the step of the "kick-down" mode. The car thinks for a second, responds with a loud roar of the engine, and then begins to accelerate.
In the second mode, the driver, as they say, has cards in his hands.The principle is simple: pushing the lever forward moves the box one step up, backward - into gear down. We start from a place. 1st to the floor - and the car smoothly, without the slightest hint of slipping, gently engaging the clutch, begins intensive acceleration. The motor spins up quite briskly to the red zone. Second. You catch yourself thinking that you wanted to swing the gearbox lever not forward, but backward, as on a conventional mechanical gearbox. And then the car suddenly wilts for a short moment, as if choking on gasoline. Then pick up again follows - and again vigorous acceleration. It is only important not to forget to swing the lever in time to switch to the next gear: the two-pedal nature of the car somewhat dulls vigilance - and the motor can be twisted.
The safety of the new Opel Corsa is at a high level: there are front and side airbags for the driver and front passenger, seat belts for all five passengers, active head restraints in the front seats, as well as a proprietary system that increases the safety of the pedal assembly in an accident. The serial equipment of the most powerful modification - "Opel-Korsa 1.8i" - will include the ESP stabilization system.
The increased base gives the car a sporty look, makes the interior more spacious, especially in the "shoulder" area - the "sore spot" of all compact cars. There is also more space for passengers. At the rear, the cabin has become wider by 8 cm and higher by 1.5 cm. This provides passengers with more living space and greater comfort, especially on long journeys.
The German Automobile Club awarded the Corsa the title of “Car of the Decade” because it was ranked three times among the most fuel efficient and environmentally friendly models. It is a version with a one-liter petrol twelve-valve three-cylinder Ecotech engine. The car meets the strictest D4 standards today (introduced in Europe under the name Euro IV only since 2005) and therefore is exempt from taxes for six years. Its emissions of 135 g of CO2 per kilometer correspond to the value adopted as mandatory for European cars with. 2008 year.
Model news: On June 26, 2003, Opel launched the production of modernized versions of the Opel Corsa. Externally, the updated restyled Corsa differs from the previous generation with a new front end. The car received a new radiator grille, new trapezoidal lenticular 3D-ellipsoidal headlights with three cylindrical reflectors, bumpers made and painted in a slightly different style. In the salon you will be greeted with better quality materials. But the most important changes are hidden under the hood.
Opel Corsa has almost completely changed the line of engines. She received two new turbodiesels with a volume of 1.3 liters (70 hp) and 1.7 liters (100 hp) with Common Rail systems that fit into Euro4 emission standards and a new 1.4-liter (90 liters .c.) gasoline engine with Twinport technology. Twinport technology, introduced in February 2003 on the Astra model, allows, according to company representatives, to save about 23% of fuel in relation to the conventional 1.4-liter engine that was previously installed on the Korsa. Also, the new revolutionary Twinport technology is now used in the smallest, three-cylinder engine with a volume of only 1 liter, which made it possible to remove 2 hp from it. more (60 hp versus 58 for its predecessor). This innovation now allows the one-liter Corse with a Twinport engine to consume another 0.2 liters less fuel per 100 km than its predecessor record holder. Now you can drive on gasoline and consume only 4.5 liters per 100 km. and this despite the fact that the power of the motor and its torque have increased.
In addition, the electro-hydraulic power steering has been modernized with automatic adjustment of effort depending on the speed of movement. The gear ratio was slightly reduced, which made it possible to make the machine even sharper and even easier to drive. The list of trim levels has been expanded where the ESP system and xenon headlights (from autumn) can be installed on the Corsa as basic equipment.The Easytronic automatic sequential transmission is now available for all 1.4-liter petrol engines and for the 1.3-liter diesel (1.3 CDTI model).
Corso will continue to be produced in three- and five-door bodies. The production line of the updated Kors now includes six trim levels. In addition to the basic are also produced: "Eco", "Enjoy", Cosmo ", Sport" and "GSi". Future buyers are offered a choice of 15 options for paintwork, a large list of optional equipment, 5 options for interior decoration. In a word, all the possibilities for giving a new car purely individual parameters for each specific buyer. As additional options, a set of equipment from the older Vectra C model is now offered: ESP road stabilization system, “Take me home” system (yes, yes. There is one), Brake-assist system. The use of new engines made it possible to change the service intervals. Now for gasoline engines they are 2 years or 30 thousand kilometers, and for diesel engines - two years or 50 thousand kilometers. mileage. Information about the need for service is now given to the driver on the dashboard and the car itself reminds of the approaching date of the trip to service for service.
In order for your Opel Tigra to serve faithfully to its owner, you need to constantly monitor its technical condition. Regular diagnostics and repair of the Opel Tiger is a guarantee of trouble-free operation.To repair the Opel Tiger less often, you must first of all monitor consumables that change either after a specified period, or depending on the mileage. Checking and replacing consumables on the Opel Tigra is done according to the routine maintenance table, which indicates the intervals with the mileage and the type of work.
Opel Tiger repair and replacement of consumables includes:
- Change the oil in the Opel Tiger engine
- Change the oil filter Opel Tiger
- Change the cabin filter for the Opel Tiger
- Change the oil in the automatic transmission Opel Tiger
- Change power steering fluid Opel Tiger
- Replace antifreeze with Opel Tiger
Timely replacement of oil and filters for the Opel Tiger will significantly reduce the cost of repairs in the future. A clogged air filter will prevent the engine from passing the required amount of air, causing it to choke and consume more fuel.
Repair service for popular Opel models:
- repair of Opel Tigra 1.8;
- repair of Opel Tigra 1.4;
- repair of Opel Tigra 1.3d;
- repair of Opel Tigra 1.6;
If you do not change the oil for Opel Tigra, then it will lose its properties, become very cloudy and thicken, simply turning into a thick substance, that is, fuel oil. This oil does not lubricate the moving parts, but only hinders their operation.
The price for repairing an Opel Tiger consists of the following components:
- Prices for Opel Tigra spare parts for repair;
- Price for the work of an auto repairman / specialist;
The most expensive are original spare parts for Opel Tigra from the manufacturer. Each such part has its own part-number, by which you can find analogues from other manufacturers. The prices for non-original spare parts for the Opel Tiger are lower than the factory ones, but there is a possibility of getting a low-quality fake, which has a short service life, or will not work at all. Filters, oils, candles, belts, brake discs for Opel are faked most often, since there is always a demand for them.
Types of payment for the repair of the Opel Tiger:
- official, with documents and a guarantee;
- unofficial, without documents, by personal agreement.
First of all, it is necessary to clearly set the tasks for the repair of the Opel Tigra, and if the problems are not obvious, then diagnose the Opel. Teapot car enthusiasts are always welcome to service, because they can be imposed a number of works and replacement of spare parts that are not necessary.
In a car service, prices for Opel Tigra repair can be fixed for each type of service and be the same for all car brands: suspension diagnostics, oil change, replacement of pads, replacement of air filters.An alternative price option, when payment is made for "1 standard hour", has its own for each car model.
In this case, each Opel Tigra repair operation is determined by timing, that is, the time it takes. This is called "Rate of Labor". Each car manufacturer indicates these numbers in the tables of reference books for each car model separately.
It often happens that the repair of an Opel Tigra by a mechanic takes more time than the standardspecified in the work reference. In this case, you have the right to pay only for the fixed standard hours allotted for this operation. Whether the auto repairman will do it more slowly, or faster, depends on his qualifications.
It is very important to require the issuance of a work order for the volume of work you have chosen to repair the Opel Tiger, as this will avoid disagreements, show your awareness and will be a significant argument if something goes wrong. Indicate what to do with old parts after replacement: return to the client (that is, you), or the car service will dispose of them on its own.
The ideal option is not to give the car keys to anyone, under any circumstances., and only get behind the wheel yourself. Completely supervise the repair of the Opel Tigra, being in the working area with the auto repairman all the time. Such conditions often contradict the safety precautions of a car service, but this will save you from most of the problems, and the repair service will be as transparent as possible.
If for the repair of the Opel Tiger, according to the rules of the car service, it is required to hand over the car, then be sure to draw up an act of acceptance of the car for repair. This procedure involves the transfer of the car key, and often the registration certificate. An employee of a car service independently drives the car into a box, or onto a lift.
The Opel Tigra acceptance certificate for repair or diagnostics includes:
- List of works and faults required to repair the car;
- List of spare parts for replacement;
- Diagram and description of the presence / absence of defects on the car that do not require elimination during the repair process;
- Completeness of the car: things, tools, accessories not related to repair.
Upon completion of the work, it is necessary to verify all the points for the documented repair and the actually performed. One employee can take a car, a second to repair an Opel Tigra, and a third to hand over a job. If any inconsistencies are found later, it will be more difficult to prove it.
When the control unit manages to stabilize idle speed, the valve seat and stem must be cleaned on the B to ensure tight closing and freedom of valve movement. City: Moldova Chisinau. Interests: Opel Cars, Racing, Tuning, etc.
Idle air regulator (IAC-valve). Manuals → Opel → Corsa (Opel Corsa). The engine idle speed is set by the manufacturer and does not need to be adjusted during normal operation.
Cleaning the idle valve on the Astra f 96g We need: a rag, 6-sided t15, carburetor cleaning (aerosol), a pair of hands =) 10 minutes.
CMP inductive camshaft position sensor. The sources of FM signals are the devices shown in the accompanying illustrations. In general, the dependence is very complex and therefore the EGR system malfunction on different car models manifests itself in different ways. EGR valves. Symptoms: When driving when the gear is disengaged, the engine stalls.
Repairing the idle valve on your own .. He took it off the machine, took the stem with his fingers - it turns freely in all directions. Why does not the exact setting of the overlap gap of the bypass channel take place .. It is necessary - to disassemble and understand .. As you can see in the picture - it was not possible to remove the pins, they had to be drilled out. Then pull the valve by the connector itself, carefully pull it off the removed contents, but without breaking the wiring.
Something I took from my wife's nail polish, we mark the wiring, so that later they do not be confused, and you can gently solder it off .. We take everything apart. To do this, you need to bend the metal petals visible in the previous photo from the white plastic cover.As a result, on the table we see a picture of a thread plays the role of a recoil device:.
We clean all this wealth of rubbish-kaki .. We carefully look at the metal rod and see in it longitudinal grooves that prevent it from scrolling in the device case :. The grooves are intact, so we look further and see that why plastic is not plastic?
We create these protrusions from paper clips: bend, apply, press into the plastic with a heated soldering iron, bite off the tails, level them with a file, drew them specially so that it is clear what to position. We check that the stem does not go into this hole loosely and does not get stuck. Lubricate everything that rubs with grease, I applied this: We put everything together, solder the wiring in place, do not forget about the bent petals, which must be returned to the state that fixes the lid ..
Instead of pins, I drove self-tapping screws, smeared them with nail polish and then covered them with it on top of the Schaub did not rust. The photo was taken a month later at the end of February, salt, etc. We put it in place and enjoy the smooth operation of the engine at idle. It no longer stalls at traffic lights. The tachometer needle does not move back and forth. Well, a lot of things DO NOT happen to her, which automobile people complain about ..
My dream is to buy myself an Opel Tiger.
this dream is almost a year old.
actually speaking, I would very much like to know. Is it worth it to me, a girl who does not understand ANYTHING inside a car, and can do ANYTHING with her own hands to fit into such a story as a ten-year-old car.
please express your opinion and advise.
Oooo. There is one here. experienced tigger. I went through the car, knows everything from above .. and from below.
So wait a little. as it enters, so it will unsubscribe.
So cool for me. I even fit in the back seat, minus one. small clearance.
Seryoga drives into my garage, so he clings. than missing.
One piece of advice you CANNOT take a killed car, diagnostics are obligatory. at the time of buying.
Seryoga ... help the girl. ay ..
- Thank you

Bauntee, Yeah. there will prompt. And besides, there is a thread about what to look at when buying and, in general, what to choose from.
- Thank you
- No thanks
Of course, it would be desirable to snatch Sergei out, tk. you learn many things only by feeling in practice. Although I took my Zafira without the presence of "experts". I just drove for diagnostics.
The only thing I can say about the Tiger is that it is slightly exotic, so there may be problems with the availability and price of some spare parts. This is in my purely personal opinion.
Bottom line: the car is like a car, with its crap sites and its advantages in appearance. Take or not decide for yourself. I made my choice, which I do not regret.
2000g is good.
ZY: rummage around on a branch of tigers in topics, you will find a lot of interesting things, people wrote with experience more than mine. And in which case, come to the meeting at which I will try to be, or knock on ICQ, we will talk.
ZZY: Well, while I was writing a little, she already bought a tiger, damn it. I'm not a brake, it's just that the Internet is stupid
1. Heated mirrors are switched on on the fan speed control knob. Pull the handle towards you, the relay will click and the light in the middle will light up brighter. It works for a certain time, then it turns off.
2. The light in the fat turns on on the handle for controlling the dimensions-external lighting, pull it towards you and you will be happy!
ps: why did you get it? if it `s not a secret.
gee-gee)))))
220 rubles) my mother says too expensive, but it seems to me quite, especially since before that I was looking at a red, automatic, 1998, with a repainted iron, which all bubbled up. for 240.
fine.
Serge .. I, of course, a girl. so.
I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND SOMETHING - how can you pull this handle (which only turns).
and in general)))

The small Opel Tigra was first presented to the general public in 1993 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, albeit still in the form of a concept. The car received so many positive reviews that it prompted the manufacturer to instantly decide to start mass production immediately. The production version was based on the Opel Corsa. Unfortunately, despite the low price and attractive appearance, the Opel Tiger never achieved tremendous success in the market. The car was discontinued in 2000. During this time, a little more than 250,000 copies were sold in total.
Exterior and interior
Exterior is the strongest aspect of Opel's imagination. Low, dynamic and full of ovals fashionable in the 90s, the silhouette hints at the sporty character of the car. Stylistic decisions at one time gave rise to a lot of controversy and discussion. Opel Tiger is able to effectively excite the imagination of not only men, but also women. The model for the entire production period did not receive serious stylistic changes. Nevertheless, even despite its age, the car is still able to attract the interested glances of passers-by. Therefore, it will undoubtedly appeal to all those who are looking for something special for themselves.
The front fascia has been completely borrowed from the Corsa to reduce production costs. It is a pity that the interior lacks at least one element reminiscent of the car's sporting orientation. Not to mention the sheer contrast between exterior and interior. But there are no complaints about ergonomics. The driver will love the low driving position and the very comfortable seats. Rear seats, rather for show. You have to be a real sadist to let someone ride there. The trunk has a capacity of 215 liters, and with the rear couch folded down, you can get a pretty decent 425 liters. One of the advantages of the car is rich (for those times) serial equipment, especially copies of the last years of production.
The Opel Tiger was offered with two gasoline engines - 16-valve 1.4 liters 90 hp. and 1.6 l 106 hp. Both engines are from the Ecotec family and are well known from other Opel cars. While both units are capable of handling a small Opel, their capabilities will disappoint fans of dynamic driving. Acceleration time to 100 km / h takes 12 and 9.5 seconds, depending on the engine. These are not the worst results, but the Opel Tigra clearly deserves more. For this reason, many owners decided to tune or even install larger engines, for example 2.0 16V from Astra and Vectra. Average fuel consumption is about 7.5-9 l / 100 km. Power is transmitted to the front wheels through a very precise 5-speed manual transmission, rarely through a 4-speed automatic coupled only with a 1.4-liter engine.
The suspension of the Opel Tiger was also borrowed from the Corsa. Front - MacPherson struts, rear - torsion beam. The manufacturer has reported that GM Lotus worked on the suspension tuning, but this is most likely just a cheap marketing gimmick. However, the Opel Tigra can be a lot of fun when cornering, albeit with a distinct tendency to understeer. The stiff suspension is certainly not comfortable enough, but given the general nature of the car, this can hardly be considered a disadvantage. The nimble Tiger has proven itself well when maneuvering in the city, but the low ground clearance requires caution when parking and overcoming obstacles.
Typical malfunctions
Opel from the 90s is not renowned for its outstanding corrosion resistance, so it is very important to check the condition of all welds and body parts when inspecting a car. The most vulnerable are specimens collected before 1997. Additional anti-corrosion treatment helps to solve the problem. Due to the "aged" glass seals, water begins to enter the interior.
The engines are distinguished by a decent margin of safety. But heavily exploited specimens can cause certain problems. The 1.6-liter engine consumes a lot of oil. Oil leaks are not alien to him. The 1.4-liter engine has similar problems. The general list of typical malfunctions includes: the EGR valve, the electric pump, the generator and the ignition system. Owners often complain about the insufficient efficiency of the cooling system, which is why instances with larger radiators are quite common. Sometimes an electrician throws up various surprises, for example, the central locking system.
Suspension components have to endure tough tests. Silent blocks and stabilizer struts wear out especially quickly.
Fortunately, the technical affinity with the Opel Corsa significantly reduces repair costs and makes most parts readily available. The situation is worse with the availability of body iron. But this shouldn't surprise anyone.
Unfortunately, the secondary market, for obvious reasons, is dominated by Opel Tigra, which is pretty much worn out or after various repairs. But in general, the Opel Tiger is a good car with its own special style, surprisingly dexterous in capable hands. He is able to surprise even the drivers of much more powerful cars. Despite a number of technical problems, it is not burdensome to operate.
One of the specializations of our stations is the high-quality repair of the Opel Tiger. In our car services there is a specialized tool for repairing Opel Tigra. Consumables, oils and fluids are available for routine maintenance. Within a couple of hours, from the main warehouse, we will bring any spare parts for repairing the Opel Tiger.
Before starting the repair of the Opel Tiger, we will make free diagnostics suspension, engine or electrics (free diagnostics in case of repair at our service stations). We do not recommend doing your own Opel Tigra repairs. Everyone must do their job. You need to entrust the repair of your car to those who do it every day.
Opel Tiger repair cost:
It is recommended to carry out routine maintenance and maintenance of the Opel Tigra every 7-10 thousand km. mileage. This necessarily includes changing the engine oil, oil filter, air filter and cabin filter. When carrying out scheduled work, we will make free diagnostics of all vehicle components and draw up a list of recommendations.
Every 60 thousand km. mileage, we recommend changing the timing belt with rollers, and if the motor is chain, then it is better to replace the chain every 120 thousand km. It is better to replace the candles every 40 thousand kilometers on gasoline engines and 100 thousand kilometers. mileage on a diesel engine. On Opel Tigra models with an adaptive throttle valve, it is recommended to clean and adapt the throttle valve every 60,000 km.
The most famous problems and malfunctions of the Opel Tiger:
- acidification of the caliper pistons with subsequent uneven wear of pads and discs;
- unsuccessful design of the fuel filter - the car jerks, stalls, troit;
- creak in the car interior due to low-quality plastic - gluing with anti-creak material;
- a problem with the box - early failure of bearings and primary shaft oil seals;
- in standard cooling radiators, leak at the junction with the side part;
- tight steering wheel - a problem with the power steering of the car - a bulkhead or replacement, according to the result of diagnostics.
The degree of wear of the Opel Tiger hub bearing can only be determined through diagnostics.
Warranty for all repair work of the Opel Tiger - 6 months.

Repair of the engine without removing it from the car
The engine is mounted transversely at the front of the vehicle. The engine crankshaft is supported by five bearings, and the center bearing has a thrust element to prevent axial misalignment of the shaft. Aluminum alloy pistons have three piston rings: two compression rings and one oil scraper. The camshaft on engines with one such shaft is driven from the crankshaft using a toothed belt made of composite rubberized material. Each cylinder has two valves (intake and exhaust), which are actuated via rocker arms using hydraulic pushers with automatic clearance adjustment.
On engines with two camshafts, they are driven from the crankshaft using a single rubberized composite toothed belt. Each cylinder has four valves (two inlet and two outlet), driven by camshafts using hydraulic pushers with automatic clearance adjustment. One camshaft drives the intake valves, the other the exhaust valves. The gear oil pump is located at the front of the cylinder block and is driven by the crankshaft. A full-flow oil filter is installed, and models with two camshafts are equipped with an oil cooler. The ignition distributor (if fitted) is driven by the camshaft. On a carburetor engine, the fuel pump rotates with a camshaft. The coolant pump is located at the front of the cylinder block and is driven by the timing belt.
Without removing the engine from the car, you can perform the following operations:
Removal and installation of the cylinder head.
Removal and installation of the timing belt and sprockets.
Removal and installation of the camshaft.
Removal and installation of the crankcase.
Removal and installation of large connecting rod and piston bearings.
Removal and installation of the oil pump.
Replacement of engine mounts.
Removal and installation of a flywheel.
Camshaft cover - removal and installation
Engines 1.4 and 1.6 l
Disconnect the hose (s) from the camshaft cover.
Remove the bolts together with clamps and / or brackets. if possible.
Separate the camshaft cover from the cylinder head.
Before reinstalling, inspect the inside of the lid and, if necessary, wipe the lid with kerosene and dry it.
Inspect the rubber seal and replace if necessary. Note that on some engine models the seal is positioned so that the mark on the seal aligns with the notch on the cover.
Install the cover by carefully wiping the mating surfaces.
Connect hose (s) to fittings.
For those who do not remember, I remind you that as a result of an independently carried out operation to replace the timing belt and others like it, ALL bolts, both rollers and protectors, were overtightened. The reason for the belt jump was the tension roller bolt that flew out along with the thread. The result is 8 bent intake valves.
The work was carried out at Omega Trans Service LLC, or, for those who are in the subject, at Sergei Chinilov's in Khimki. All spare parts were original and were bought by the service, because otherwise the warranty for the work performed was not provided.
