Perforators are quite unpretentious in maintenance. To maintain the working condition of the Interskol perforator, it is necessary to timely change the lubricant in the gearbox whenever the worn carbon brushes of the electric motor are replaced.
Old grease must be removed without fail; it is preferable to remove it with special detergents used in service centers. But a home craftsman will do just fine with a solution of a mixture of kerosene and gasoline. Do-it-yourself Interskol perforator assembly is a fairly simple technological process. You just need to read the disassembly instructions, diagram, spare parts catalog. Prepare new or repaired and cleanly washed parts, a new O-ring repair kit, lubricants, tools and supplies before assembly. Do not forget about the correct preparation of the workplace and the lighting on it.
New grease is filled on cleanly washed parts and only the one that is recommended for this unit.
When laying new lubricant, do not overdo it: excess lubricant during the operation of the rock drill is often squeezed out through the gearbox housing and lead to the destruction of the oil seals.
Check internal surfaces for roughness before assembling parts. The surface should be polished to a mirror finish. With a low roughness, the abrasion of the rubber O-rings is more intense. Details about the repair of the Interskol perforator.

The assembly of Interskol perforators can be conditionally divided into several stages:
Installation of rubber sealing rings.
Assembly of individual units.
Assembling blocks.
Assembling the electrical part.
Checking the performance of the power tool.
All Interskol rock drills consist of several large blocks:
Impact unit mechanical block.
Intermediate shaft block.
Reducer block.
Stator block.
Control circuit block.
Domestic manufacturers have developed special lubricants for the lubrication of rock drills. The lubricant is divided according to the operating conditions of the units. It is recommended to use lubricants specially formulated for these assemblies to lubricate the gearboxes, rolling bearing and clutch.
Lubricants are conventionally divided into three categories:
For particularly loaded units, such as an impact mechanism, gearbox, intermediate shaft.
For the lubrication of drill shanks.
For lubricating rubber O-rings.
It is advisable to use Tsiatim-221 as a lubricant for rubber sealing rings, which does not destroy rubber.
Special lubricants are used for the gearboxes of Interskol rock drills.
Before installing the rubber sealing rings on the parts, the latter must be lubricated with an inert rubber grease that can withstand temperatures up to +120 ºС.
It is recommended to use not only a lubricant inert for rubber, but also providing a high seal during operation. From domestic lubricants, pay attention to Tsiatim-221.
For a secure grip of the tool, easy removal at the end of work, it is recommended to use a special bunch for shanks.
In Interskol perforators, the percussion unit block consists of a barrel and parts of the percussion mechanism.
Let's consider the assembly of the shock unit using the example of the Interskol 26 / 800ER perforator barrel.
The percussion mechanism consists of an industrial mass, pos. 16, a barrel, pos. 37, a striker, pos. 45, and a piston, pos. 47.
The shock pulse is created due to the reciprocating movement of the piston, pos. 47, in the barrel, pos. 36. The striker, pos. 45, moves inside the piston and transmits an impulse to the industrial mass, pos. 16. And now the industrial mass transmits a shock impulse to the instrument receiver, pos. 12. In the given chain there is one more device that smooths out the magnitude of the shock impulse from the striker to the industrial mass. The device is called a striker catcher pos. 42.
On the barrel poz.36 put on gear poz.35, on the other side of the cam sleeve poz.38 and the connection gear-cam sleeve is fixed with needle rollers poz.37 and a retaining ring poz.34.
The gear is pressed by the spring, pos. 33, a washer, pos. 32, is put on the barrel, and everything is fixed with a retaining ring, pos. 31.
The barrel is inserted into the body, pos. 18, into which the collar, pos. 19, is preliminarily inserted, the roller bearing, pos. 20, and the sleeve, pos. 21, are pressed in.
The assembly of the barrel ends with the installation of the striker and catcher inside after lubricating the inner surfaces. The installation of the catcher in the barrel body is fixed with a retaining ring.
Piston assembly pos. 47 start by installing a finger on it, pos. 48, and two rings, pos. 49. The pin acts as a leash from the rolling bearing pos.60. A striker, pos. 45, with a pre-installed O-ring, pos. 46, is inserted into the piston.
Before inserting the firing pin inside the piston, the inner surface of the piston must be checked for roughness. There should be no scratch marks on the surface.
After lubricating the inner surface of the piston with a thin layer of Ciatim-221, insert the firing pin inside.
In the construction of the Interskol P-26 / 800ER perforator, the working tool is inserted into a special tool receiver and clamped in the chuck.
Assembling the tool receiver pos. 12 is simple.
The assembled industrial mass assembly, pos. 16, is inserted into the inside of the receiver. On the industrial mass, you must first put on the sleeve pos. 15, the cuffs pos. 14, the rubber ring pos. 13. Be sure to lubricate the rubber O-ring and the inside of the barrel receiver with Ciatim-221 grease before assembly.
In the Interskol P-26 / 800ER perforators, the intermediate shaft is a complex unit.
Assembling the intermediate shaft is easy.
First, the components of the rolling bearing OZ.60 are assembled. A needle bearing pos. 61 and a combined gear wheel pos. 62 are inserted into the bearing.
The assembled unit is inserted into the body, pos. 53, with the simultaneous installation of the piston, pos. 47. Before installation, the rolling bearing driver is inserted into the pin, pos. 48.
The installed intermediate shaft is fixed with a bracket pos. 50.
At the next stage, the pinion shaft pos. 58 is installed in the intermediate shaft, with the switch leash, pos. 55, put on it.
The assembled unit is lubricated with gear grease.
It remains to put on the barrel of the piston pos. 36.
Lubricate the gears of the gearbox with the recommended grease and cover with the cover of the outer casing of the gearbox, pos. 18.
Clamp the vertical rock drill in a vise and assemble the keyless chuck. After lubricating the inside of the barrel, insert the tool receiver.
Align the holes of the tool receiver and the barrel, then insert the rollers (pos. 11) into them.
Put on the conical spring (pos. 10) from above, a special washer (pos. 9) and insert the ball (pos. 8).
Put the ring (pos. 7) on the tool receiver, push bush (pos. 6). Fix the structure with the retaining ring pos. 5.
It remains to put on the washer (pos. 4), fix it with the second retaining ring (pos. 3).
Putting on the washer, pos. 2, install the protective sleeve, pos. 1.
Lay the Interskol rotary hammer on its side to allow access to the hole for installing the mode selector knob.
The handle is easy to install. You just need to get your antennae into the grooves of the switch. The handle is inserted in the opposite position to “impact + drilling”, rotated through an angle of 15º and fixed with a latch by pressing the white button.
The installed button is rotated clockwise to verify correct operation.
The stator unit of the Interskol P-26 / 800ER perforator is no different from the stator units of any other perforator.
A stator, pos. 74, is inserted into the stator housing, fastened with screws, pos. 73, and closed with a diaphragm, pos. 72.
The rotor, pos. 69, is inserted into engagement with the helical gear of the intermediate shaft.
The assembly of the Interskol P-26 / 800ER perforator is completed by installing the stator housing cover, pos. 77.
After fixing the housing cover, proceed to the installation of the brush holder, pos. 81. Installation of the brush holder does not cause any difficulties.
Install carbon brushes (pos. 83) into the brush holder, fix them with clamping spiral springs (pos. 84).
It remains to insert the switch button pos.87, connect the wires to the stator terminals, hide the wires in the handle of the puncher.
Having assembled the Interskol perforator, make sure to turn the rotor shaft lightly by turning it by the tool receiver.
Inspect for correct and even fit of the carbon brushes. Connect the instrument to 220 V.
Briefly turn on the hammer drill and observe the sparking of the carbon brushes.
Install the protective cover, pos. 85.
The assembly of the remaining models of Interskol perforators is practically no different and is shown in the video below.
