This is a cheap, unreliable solution. The PP2 has a full-fledged center differential, and the viscous coupling is used only to lock it. The error "The clutch is overheated" on PP2 will never pop up (guess yourself - why?).

I will repeat (although you obviously do not listen and shout about what I have, it turns out, everything is broken - which is not so and is just a weak attempt to get personal - not considering that the question is not what I have there now where something is overheating (and where did you get it from), but in the general concept) - cars with viscous couplings heat up when there is _significant_ deviation of any parameter from the factory standard, and cars with forced cooling do not experience problems until the deviations are reached _critical_ values at which the motor of a car with a viscous coupling would have jammed a long time ago from overheating.
And yes, so that you know - I do not like the collective farm (Another useless attempt to get personal and an additional attempt to say again that “couplings are wonderful, you just don’t know the topic, in contrast to the expert-muft expert ak. Sergei Kalechin” which is not so ), otherwise I would have long ago thrown out these flawed couplings from the cars (Although I still have to figure out how to change the coupling from the Pegasus distributor, because if the fans somehow work and are duplicated by the condenser fans, then the coupling in the distributor specifically harms the cross-country ability), but it just infuriates me that even in the 90s a much less convenient and unreliable system was installed, even all the dubious advantages of which were perfectly done by electric fans based on the element base of that time (I'm talking about smooth temperature maintenance. All sorts of generally useless pluses about "saving electricity" even there is no point in considering) - but even with the hysteresis mode of operation of the electric fan, the clutch has no real advantages (And now you don't have to nod again that I supposedly I do not know the topic, certainly better than fans of _bad_ old technologies).

PS I don’t know how you went there in the Moscow region without cooling, the only real option is that there was probably enough cooling from the condenser fans (which, by the way, additionally proves the low efficiency of the couplings). I don’t know if the P38 can turn them on for cooling when overheating like a Mercedes, but in any case, you wrote that you drove with an air conditioner, which means it had to turn on from freon pressure - but in any case, this is probably just a fiction.
