But on the weekend a friend came to me with an unusual request (this is the first time). In general, he brings a miracle of Chinese technology: a car DVR + radar detector in one bottle. There are no complaints about the DVR, on the contrary, the quality of the recording is such that the license plates of any car are visible when viewing the recording ... But with the radar detector, it was less fortunate - there is only an ON / OFF switch from the radar control bodies, and nothing else. Even the volume of the beep is not adjustable. Yes, to hell with her with the loudness, the problem was different - when the anti-radar was triggered, the loud voice of a woman whose accent is similar to Allah-akbar is heard from the device, and even all the words are "mixed up", as if the text was translated through "promt". And the voice is so disgusting that when I heard it for the first time, my brain almost blew up ... The client asked: do at least something to at least squeak, but so that there is no trace of this voice (but accordingly, so that the radar detector works).
Well, let's get started. At first I wanted to do something like this: take a small microcontroller, for example ATtiny13, send the signal from the speaker to the MK comparator, and then generate a squeak using PWM. Approximate scheme:

But then an unfortunate situation happened: I forgot the microcontroller programmer at work, and it was New Year's holidays in the yard. Therefore, the option with a microcontroller had to be abandoned. I started to come up with another scheme. I rummaged in my storehouse, and found a small handkerchief from a Chinese mechanical alarm clock. This shawl can serve as a buzzer generator, with a power supply of only 1.5 volts. In order for the squeak to start, it is necessary to close two contacts signed on the photo "ON", "ON". In the photo, the contacts are already closed with a drop of solder.

This means that I have decided on the generator. It remains to come up with a circuit that will react to the audio signal supplied to the speaker and turn on the "buzzer" for three seconds. To do this, I decided to first measure the level of voltage present on the speaker when the woman "pushes speech." The output sound amplifier turned out to be built on a bridge circuit, and relative to the common wire, at the moment when the woman pushes the speech, a voltage of about 1.3 ... 1.4 volts was present at each of the amplifier terminals (half the amplifier supply voltage). After the woman stopped chatting, the power of the amplifier was turned off, and everything went to zero at the output. I took advantage of this, connected the generator scarf directly to one of the speaker terminals. The negative wire of the generator-buzzer was naturally connected to the common wire of the anti-radar. Since the generator-tweeter consumes current in short pulses, I hung an electrolytic capacitor with a capacity of 1000 microfarads on the power terminals, so as not to overload the output stage of the amplifier.

Naturally, I tore off my native speaker in order to deprive the "Allah-Akbar" woman of the opportunity to talk. And in the old place (where the speaker stood) I put the generator-tweeter scarf, and glued this scarf on the thermo-nozzle. The quartz and condenser are also fixed on a thermo-nozzle to protect against vibration.

By the way, there was only one free space in the case near the speaker. This is what happened in the end (under the train you can see the brown getinax shawl of the generator-tweeter):
