The disassembled pump consists of a rotor with a cage, a back cover and a support washer. There may be seizures on the back cover, which are removed by processing with a sander.
It is necessary to grind the entire cover completely so that a flat plane is obtained, otherwise, either there will be no pressure, or a pump leak will appear. The same is with the rotor, which also needs to be ground very carefully so as not to "fill up" the plane.
In the case of grinding the rotor, it is necessary to process the cage itself, the thickness of which after processing should be the same, which can be checked with a micrometer.
If there are scuffs on the rotor, then the chamfers of the slots for the blades must be removed. An important condition here is that the blades in all directions must move in the rotor without any jamming.

To eliminate scoring on the support washer (if any), it is necessary to free it from the two pins pressed into the washer. This is easily done by gripping the pins in a vise and removing the washer with light hammer blows. The best way to knock down the puck is with a puck so as not to leave impact marks on it. After removing the pins, the washer must also be sanded. If possible, then it is advisable to polish all parts after grinding.

All parts are washed in gasoline or treated with a degreasing liquid. The pins go to a depth of 4 mm. In this case, you need to check that there is no liquid left in the holes for the pins, otherwise they will not be able to be put in place.
Before replacing the back cover, a small amount of power steering fluid must be poured into the pump.
If fluid leakage was observed through the connections, then the power steering hoses are being repaired.
