  • checking the weakening of the valve springs. If the free height of the spring is less than 53.40 mm, it must be replaced.

Using a micrometer, we measure the diameter of the main and connecting rod journals of the crankshaft. It is also necessary to check the radial and axial clearance of the shaft. A Plastigage calibrated rod is used to measure the radial clearance. Axial movement is measured by a special indicator mounted on the end of the crankshaft. We check the obtained parameters with the technical standards.
