Step number 2 - Unscrew the screws that are under the fender liner

• The boot is a little different: it now has a wheel guard. It is necessary to remove its lining, the bolts we need to dismantle the part are just under it. Remove the cladding and untwist these bolts.

Step number 3 - Unscrew the screws in the trunk

• We turn off the self-tapping screws near the sealing gum, similar to item 3 in the instructions for the notchback.

Step # 4 - Unscrew the screws along the sealing gum

• Ready. Similarly, we pull the part towards ourselves, safely freeing it from grooves and fasteners. Your hatchback is stripped.

It doesn't matter if you have a sedan, a station wagon or a hatchback, the shockproof beam of your car, regardless of the form factor, can be removed the same way: you just need to unscrew the screws that attach it to the body. Be careful: do not forget it when re-installing it and in no case decide to refuse to install it! The anti-shock bar is the most important part, without which the rear bumper cannot serve its technical purpose.

This completes the dismantling procedure. We can safely conclude that with the tools and good lighting, it will take no more than an hour (especially if you have a hatchback and there is no need to remove the rear wheels). Installation is carried out in the same way, in reverse order. It is much more convenient to carry out this procedure together: it is difficult for one person to simultaneously hold the part evenly and tighten the bolts. Therefore, if you have the opportunity to invite someone to your assistants for an hour and a half, be sure to use it!

Removing and installing the rear bumper yourself will save you significant time and money compared to performing this procedure in the cabin. However, if you are not confident in your abilities, we advise you to contact a specialized service center.

We carry out the work during the repair and replacement of the front bumper, energy absorbing bumper beam.
The work is shown on a car with a hatchback body. Remove the engine compartment mudguards (see Removing the engine compartment mudguards) and the radiator grille (see Removing the radiator grille). We remove the block headlights (Removing the block headlight) and wheel arch liners (or disconnect their front parts - see Removing the front wheel arch liners). Disconnect the pads of the wiring harness from the fog lamps (see Removing the fog lamp).

Using the “7” head with an extension cord, turn off the two self-tapping screws for attaching the bumper lining to the front fender.

Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the retainer of the piston fastening the front bumper lining to the bracket for the energy absorbing bumper beam.
We perform similar operations on the other side of the car.

From the bottom of the car, use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the clips of the four caps securing the bumper lining to the energy absorbing bumper beam.

Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the clips of the two pistons attaching the bumper lining to the energy absorbing bumper beam and remove the pistons.

Remove the bumper trim along with the foam insert and fog lights.
We remove the fog lights (see.Removing the fog lamp).

The foam insert from the bumper can be removed freely.

To remove the energy absorbing beam with the "14" head, unscrew the bolt and two nuts securing the beam bracket to the body.
We perform similar operations on the other side of the car.

We remove the energy absorbing beam.
The front bumper cover can be removed together with its energy absorbing beam.
To do this, disconnect the bumper lining from the fenders and wheel arch liners, disconnect the energy absorbing beam from the body, and do not remove the caps connecting the lining and the beam.
We install the elements of the front bumper in the reverse order and check the reliability of its attachment.
