LIQUIDS USED BY CHERY AND THEIR REQUIREMENTS

MOTOR OIL. According to the recommendation in the Chery Amulet user manual. 5W / 30 (SF). Please select engine oil according to our recommendations. Using non-licensed oil can lead to premature engine wear or more serious malfunctions.

The Chery Amulet class C passenger car is a slightly modified version of the first generation SEAT Toledo (production started in 1991).

The first car of this brand was in 1999 the Chery Wincloud model. Since then, it has been repeatedly updated and changed its name (other names are Quiyun, Flagcloud, Fulwind). The quality of the interior trim is quite decent for a car in this price category. All plastic parts fit together. The rear seats are quite spacious for a class C car, although the third one will be superfluous here; but the knees of the remaining two will not rest on the backs of the front seats. The interior as a whole is cozy and inviting, only the light color of the fabric upholstery of the first batch of cars is not entirely practical.

The liftback body (pseudo-sedan) is convenient for loading bulky items into the luggage opening with a capacity of 420 liters. The backrest of the rear seat folds in parts, forming a flat surface without a step; as a result, a medium-sized refrigerator can be placed in the trunk.

The model is equipped with the only 4-cylinder 8-valve engine SQR-480 with a volume of 1.6 liters and a power of 94 hp, manufactured under license from Mitsubishi. The torquey engine pulls well from the bottom and picks up speed quickly. In first gear, it is easy to let the front wheels slip on clean asphalt. Paired with a very "short" transmission, it gives good dynamics. Acceleration to 100 km / h takes 11.5 seconds, while the maximum speed reaches 172 km / h. It consumes up to 11 liters of AI-92 gasoline in the urban cycle and 8.5 liters in the mixed cycle. In operation, such an engine is quite reliable, durable and maintainable. In China and a number of other countries, a version with a more powerful 1.6 liter DOHC 116 hp engine is offered.

Russian Amulets are aggregated with a 5-speed manual gearbox. For a surcharge since the summer of 2006, a ZF variator is offered.

By the level of smoothness and efficiency of the brakes (front ventilated discs and rear drum), the Amulet is comparable to VAZs of the “tenth” family.

The light steering wheel due to the hydraulic booster is not informative enough at high speed. ABS on this front-wheel-drive car works harshly and noisily, but predictably and allows you to maintain directional stability when maneuvering on snowy and slippery surfaces.

Good handling, predictable trajectory and minimal roll are largely due to the rigid suspension, which is a MacPherson strut with coil springs at the front and a torsion bar axle at the rear. However, in combination with good sound insulation, an acceptable level of comfort is achieved.
