In detail: do-it-yourself dre 4000 repair from a real master for the site my.housecope.com.
As you know from the last article, I started doing home appliance repairs offline. And now there will be a lot of such articles about the repair of various household appliances.
Here is the first one on the topic of repairing household appliances. Although before that there were articles about the repair of household appliances, I did it for myself. This one was already done in his workshop for the repair of household appliances, and not at home.
They asked me to look at the DRE 5000 satellite receiver. Well, since the petitioners were familiar neighbors, I went to their apartment to see the satellite dish at the same time. Since there was a suspicion that the plate moved and got lost. I checked the plate and cable from the DRE 5000 receiver and did not find any faults. When I turned on the DRE 5000 satellite receiver, there was a small hum in the sound on the TV and the picture was falling, that is, there were squares.
Well, from the buzz it is immediately clear that this is a variable background. This means that the voltage is not filtered by the capacitor and the variable component of the voltage creates a buzz. He told the hostess that the satellite receiver DRE 5000 needs repair. I took the satellite receiver and took it to my parents to check on their satellite dish. Since the satellite receiver DRE 5000 was tuned to Tricolor, and my dish was not tuned to Tricolor. There are 85 degrees and 75 degrees.
When the satellite receiver was turned on, the same symptoms appeared: buzzing and tearing the picture except for the STS channel, squares in the image. That is, it is definitely not the satellite dish that is to blame, but the purely satellite receiver DRE 5000 has fallen into disrepair and needs repair.
Video (click to play).
Disassembled the receiver in the workshop. And immediately at the input of the power supply, a swollen capacitor C3 was found - 47 microfarads at 400 volts. Look at the power supply diagram. The capacitor was swollen, most likely due to a voltage drop in the network and therefore lost its properties. He simply did not call the tester at all.
The capacitor was replaced with a working one and again decided to check the DRE 5000 satellite receiver for sound and picture quality. The buzz was gone, but the picture was falling on most channels, but less so.
On the forums, it was advised to remove the capacitor C5 - 100pf per 1000 volts, since it and next to it the capacitor and resistor are filled with composite for something. Over time, the composite loses its properties and begins to conduct current. These parts overlap with each other and the board burns out. I removed the capacitor and cleaned the board from the composite. Look at the photo. But these details do not affect the image and began to dig further.
In the tuner of the DRE 5000 receiver there is an electrolytic capacitor that dries out over time and begins to malfunction. And the receiver you understand is already old and out of production. It is this capacitor that needs to be removed and a new one should be soldered in its place, at 220μF 16 volts. It is easier to solder the conductor to the fifth leg of the tuner so that the tuner is not unsoldered from the board. And that was done.
I checked the DRE 5000 satellite receiver again for image quality. The squares disappeared and the signal from the dish and all channels showed clearly. On this repair of satellite receiver The DRE 5000 was finished and the receiver was handed over to the customer.
Finally, have a laugh, watch the video ...

which one needs to be removed to solder?
which one needs to be removed to solder? capacitor
no need to remove the old one, just solder a new one in its place and that's it
I'd be ashamed to take money for SUCH, maximum a bottle of beer
Hello! Undertook to repair the DRE-5000. Faced the following things: 1. Inconsistency of the real denominations of parts to the circuit, in particular C16 costs 100 microfarads x25 V, and according to the circuit 1000; R3 - 41 k, and according to the scheme 27 k. 2.There is practically no output voltage (along the 30 V circuit - about 1.01-1.2 V) At first, working with the "typing" method, he replaced almost all electrolytes (C7,9,11,12,16,18) as well as DMO365R and an optocoupler PC817 in the hope: "Well, just about ... well, now ..." - Alas! Then he moved on to a meaningful repair. Well, it seems that all the diodes are intact. I put an ohmmeter on contacts 6-4 of the transformer T1, I observe the following picture: the voltage is high at first, then it drops smoothly, then it “jumps up” again, etc. Conclusion: does the protection circuit work? I put an ohmmeter on pins 7-8 - "does not breathe" and does not move. Can the transformer short in the secondary winding? How likely is it? How to check? What else could it be? What is the principle of operation of the PWM controller protection?
Well, for those who understand, of course, it's easy to do, friends can get beer, and these are clients, they will not understand correctly, so like this
Just swap both for a known good
Hello, please tell me if you put the kander not 220 microfarads 16v, but 220 microfarads 25v. what to expect is it possible at all! Thank you
you even need to put one like this, as it will keep more tension
great story_and_show !! but I have a question! you have six legs in the picture, but on my analogous receiver for some reason seven, the question? to which leg should the conder be drunk
In general, the conductor is soldered to the tuner, to the 5th leg on the right, there are much more than 7 legs on the tuner,
Question: PSU, 2SD882 is warming up, before that I changed the bloated C17, replacing all other electrolytes did not help, power under load is normal, who met and what solution?
Well, what kind of “all the others”? They have numbers. You give me the voltage measurements. At the terminals of the transistor is required.
Who will tell you? On the DRE-5000, the scoreboard is blinking, but I feel that the power supply is dead. The medicine is probably cheap. But I don't want to risk it without info. If you know what and how, please discard the info. Thanks in advance. and if it is possible in more detail, as I have not soldered for a long time.
beriks, electrolytes in the secondary circuits of the power supply.
If so, then it's better to go to the workshop.
I apologize, maybe I’m not there the mayor’s office, but at the exit from B.P. I can't measure the voltage, it jumps to the beat of the blinking of the scoreboard, the only visually the C17 air conditioner is slightly swollen. Where even to poke a tester, tell the stupid one.
beriks, the secondary housing is ok (no short). It happened that the culprit diode in the primary circuit near the MC breaks off! I did not try to turn on the power supply unit without a receiver.
Who told you that he should be cold?
THE LARGEST THANKS TO RESPONDED. I changed the C17, everything began to sing.
beriks, And who will change C16 and in the primary capacitors? It's not in vain that it swelled up
georgi d, he doesn't care what works the main thing, and then he will write again and say that for his receiver the staircase burned out
Rostyk.07, yes, I understand that today is his holiday
Changed C17 Everything started singing! THANKS for your response! And a couple more questions. 1. For example, you need to flash the res. through a beech, but there is no COM port in the beech, there is a USB and an adapter is also available with a USB-COM. And the program for the DREburner firmware does not see USB there only COM1 and COM2. Literate people tell me how to cope with this crap. 2. Can I, before flashing the receiver to fresh software, first save all the settings and channels that I have at the moment, and after flashing them, fill them in a clean res. in order not to configure it later and not to search and sort channels. IS IT POSSIBLE?
Well, do not swear, well, I'm not a pro. And to learn hot. So who, if not kind people, will prompt and help at least a little. Well, now I still know where to go. Thank you.
Could prompt immediately. Now res. you will have to break it.
According to the scheme of the proposal. above S16 1000mph. 25v. but it really costs 100mf25v.
Thanks! I blow tomorrow into the king of the details are not enough.
Do you need to change anything in the second chain?
Here I see C12 and C19, too, some kind of wrong.
Nuna in the devices to see which KOM the emulator assigned. Can be specified manually. 1.2.3.4.
2. Better to stomp on a special forum and read to read. And then break break. And so in a circle.
If everything is OK. Change the topic to Repair of the power supply unit DRE5000 (solved) and then the moderator should plan it.
Another b.p. at output 10, pulsating 0-2.5v, at 9 - 0v, at 8 - 0v, at 6 - 1.5v, at 5 - 1v, at 4 - 1v. Where I don’t know flattery, tell me what to do?
beriks, but there is no short one in the receiver. The diodes are all intact in the secondary.
I drank everything, D7 kratysh, it costs HER 205 what you can give up, thanks.
In fact, there is nothing at hand, tell me if it is possible to put FR 152 or CT UF 2003.
If D7 is dead, nothing else needs to be changed?
Hang a 220 uF 16 V capacitor on the 5th leg of the tuner. It should work. You don't even need to open the tuner for this, and hang the condender right outside, i.e. of course inside the receiver.
, although it will not be difficult to open its lid either, at the same time you dissolve the old condender and put a new one in its place.
Be sure to replace the electrolytic capacitors C17 and C18 in the power supply unit, put 1000 uF 16 volts, relatives will be 10 volts. It should help if the DRE module is out of order, on which the green LED lights up, but the receiver will still work without it, only the status will be “No module” and the Tricolor channels will not be shown.

This is the trouble of all DRE-DRS-GS receivers, which is aggravated by the connection to the TV with a low quality SCART-SCART cable. Slightly smooth the problem by replacing the filtering network conder in the C3 power supply unit, native there is 47 uF for 400 volts, replace it with a good imported 68, 82 or 100 uF for 400-450 volts. Well, the standard recipe is to remove the sound on the TV to an acceptable minimum, and increase it to the maximum on the receiver, then there will be no fonning.
Try thoroughly rubbing alcohol or cologne over the translucent strip that covers the display LEDs and photodetector. Doesn't help - remove the top cover of the receiver and unscrew the screws securing the muzzle board. It is unlikely that dust could have got there, but what the hell is not kidding. Clean the photodetector (soldered on three legs) and check the voltage supplied to it (most likely 5 volts), as well as at the output of the power supply unit along the 3.3 and 5 volt lines. You can replace the power supply capacitors C17 and C18 without checking, put 1000 uF at 16 volts. Most likely the problem will be solved.
The DRE-4000 with their heavily perforated top cover are dusty to death after a couple of years of use. It is necessary to thoroughly clean all three boards with a soft brush or brush and blow thoroughly. And distort the cable from the motherboard to the control board a couple of times.
Please tell me who knows, after a thunderstorm (a lightning strike was near the house) two receivers failed: Golden Interstar 805 and DRE 5000, both displays are off. So in the power supply unit of the interstar, a Schottky diode was broken in the secondary, after replacing which the receiver started working., And with DRE the situation is as follows: the fuse is intact, on the low side of the power supply unit everything is zero, there is a suspicion of a DMO365 microcircuit, but how to check it? only by replacing it with a known good one, or is there some kind of verification method?
Dear amix! It is impossible to fully check the microcircuit with a multimeter! Unless on a simulator (simulator) B / P, but this is very, very troublesome. DMO365 is not high, change it boldly and your res will work. I advise you to determine the root cause of the B / P failure, otherwise the new microcircuit may fail. Below is a diagram of the B / P DRE-4000
600 J and microprocessor control, (this pilot even has real protection from 380 volts), but after testing the repaired receiver for about 3 hours, it was clear that everything was in order. will still work. And the second receiver went out of order at the same time as the first one (there was no one at home at that moment), stood in another room, there was no protection against surges. Both receivers were connected to the same antenna (twin), and this antenna stood on a concrete fence, below the level of the roof of the (metal) house. Now I have doubts about the issue of nutritional protection, i.e. were there any faults outlined on the side of 220 V?, but why then everything is intact in the primary interstar, but the diode in the secondary has broken, or if thunder, lightning, blasted into the antenna, could then the receiver stay alive from its tuner to the power supply?

Repair of satellite receivers with a defect - "no signal", flooded with rainwater over a cheap Chinese cable.
Most of the defects arising during the operation of STV tuners are associated with the failure of their power supplies. Power supplies of this type fail mainly due to power surges, low-quality components and are very afraid of static voltage. Here is an excerpt from V.K. Fedorov's article. "Repair of satellite receivers" in the appendix to the magazine "Repair & Service" 2010. - to our great regret, when developing power supplies for these brands of receivers (DRE), a number of mistakes were made leading to their failure. For example, capacitors C 9, C12, C15, C19 and C20 have an operating temperature of + 85C, and a very low quality diode is used as D9. Being a longtime user of Tricolor TV and its receivers DRE-4000, DRE-5000, DRE-5001 often I go to the Telesputnik forums. Several times the advice from the "Power Supply Repair" section helped me to repair the receivers for myself and my neighbors, so I decided to summarize the faults mentioned in this section. a workable system.
Warning
1.If the receiver stops loading or is loading longer than the previously set time, immediately look for the reason - you can kill the crypt-module.
2. Remove the crypt-module before starting the repair, put it back in place.
Reboot or reset to factory settings is performed for DRE receivers as follows:
1. Press (Menu) on the remote control, select "Settings", press (OK) and enter the PIN code (default 0000).
2.Select “Factory Defaults” from the menu and press (OK). A warning message will appear on the TV screen about the complete deletion of all user-made settings.
3. Press the red button at the bottom of the remote. The TV screen will ask you to delete all user data.
4. Press the (Left) button to select “Yes”, then press “OK”. The receiver deletes the data for about 15 seconds, during this time it is strictly forbidden to turn off the power of the receiver and to perform any actions with the receiver - this can lead to incomplete or incorrect data writing to the receiver's flash memory and its breakdown.
If the set pincode is unknown, then you can reset it to 0000.
To do this, press (Menu) and select the "Status" item. A window with the data of the receiver will open, then sequentially press the following buttons on the remote control:
white , (9), yellow , (4), red , (8), (7), (3), (5), green .
A window will appear asking: "Change PIN. Are you sure?. Select “Yes” by pressing the “Left” button. ”Confirm to reset the PIN code to 0000? by clicking the "OK" button.

Do you usually have to change a lot of electrolytes? Where and which ones to take for replacement? (I just haven't been interested in this topic for a long time. By manufacturer?) Are they visually identifiable?

As already noted in [1], about 60% of all defects arising during the pre-sale preparation and operation of STV tuners are associated with the failure of their power supplies. However, the operation of the CTB tuner DRE4000 showed its "weak" node - the power supply. DigiRaum has tried to improve the reliability of this unit, and a number of solutions have been introduced into the power supply of the new “DRE 5000” model to reduce the number of failures.
Rice. 1 Schematic diagram of the power supply for the DRE 5000 tuner
The schematic diagram of the “DRE 5000” tuner power supply is shown in the figure.First of all, it should be noted that all filtering oxide capacitors in this model have an operating temperature of 105 ° C. The integrated voltage regulator 5 V on the KA7805 microcircuit was replaced with a regulator made on discrete elements, which increased the fault tolerance of this node. The PWM controller with an integrated key transistor U1 of the L0380R type has been replaced with a lower-power analogue DM0365R. The latest revision is most likely caused by the desire to reduce the cost of manufacturing the device. The previous microcircuit was very reliable because it had a power reserve and good heat dissipation. The number of failures of this microcircuit was 1-2 per 30 repairs.
However, some defects were not fixed. In particular, items of very low quality are used at positions D9 and C21. Several dozen devices have already been repaired with defects in the power supply, which are associated to a greater extent with the violation of the operating conditions of the tuner - instability of the supply voltage. Here are the typical defects of the power supply of this tuner and the reasons for their occurrence.
Tuner does not turn on, mains fuse F1 blows
- faulty (breakdown) one or more diodes D1-D4;
- the power switch in the U1 controller is faulty.
The tuner does not turn on. Mains fuse F1 OK
- loss of capacitance of the capacitor C7;
- open circuit of resistor R2 or R4.
Tuner does not switch on, mains fuse F1 is OK. Power supply output voltage too low
- the capacitor C21 is faulty (leakage);
- defective (breakdown) diode D9. It should be replaced with a more powerful one with a Schottky barrier (for example, 1N5822).
Tuner does not switch on, mains fuse F1 is OK. Output voltages are too low. The network indicator is flashing
- loss of capacitance of the capacitor C3.

elena / 07/30/2015 - 13:09 The tuner began to hum. but it works well, and the second one is the same buzzing and interfering with the image
Andrey / 05/18/2014 - 09:11 the power switch as part of the U1 controller also flies away with a FUNCTIONAL fuse.

Satellite equipment is also technology. And any technique, as you know, breaks down.
A satellite receiver is a receiver that is quite complex in its addition and a circuit may be needed to repair it. Rather, in most cases you cannot do without it. Here I will lay out the diagrams for satellite tuners.
Sometimes I have to look for circuits for receivers, so I decided to post it here, maybe someone else will need it.
I think over time to save up a large collection. You can join before the process.
