The practice of troubleshooting furniture malfunctions shows that adjusting and replacing most structural units does not require any rare or expensive tool. Everything you need can be found in your home workshop or bought at your nearest hardware store.

As for repair skills, proceed in accordance with the instructions suggested in this article and there will be no problems with the repair.

Work on the restoration of hull elements is not much different from similar work carried out with conventional casement cabinets.

The main reason for the repair of guides is their mechanical deformation. It is not difficult to align the crumpled profile, but the part restored in this way will not have the original stiffness. Therefore, the only way to repair a profile is to replace it.

In specialized stores, you can purchase a profile with the required dimensions and with the appropriate color.

The combination of the upper and lower profile is responsible for the vertical position of the sash.

During the replacement of the upper guide profile, the self-tapping screws are unscrewed and the part is removed. In place of the removed part, a new fitted profile is installed.

If the furniture body is made of chipboard, the holes for the old self-tapping screws may have been broken. In this case, the holes in the profile are drilled with a slight offset relative to the holes on the removed guides so that the new screws are firmly held in the body.

When replacing the bottom profile, the guide rail is detached from the cabinet body, after which the mounting surface is cleaned. Further, double-sided tape is glued from the inside of the new rail. The protective film is removed from the tape and the part is glued to the prepared mounting surface.

When installing the profile on self-tapping screws, the lower rail is mounted in the same way as the upper part of the cabinet.

You can solve the problem by cleaning the roller. Most pinch rollers are non-separable, so if dirty, you just need to remove the blockages on the sides of the axle.

Do not lubricate the roller, as the oil will collect dirt on itself, which will again lead to blockages.

The bottom of the door has two holes on each side. There is a fixing screw in the upper hole and an adjusting screw in the lower hole. By turning the screws with a 4 mm Allen key, you can raise or lower the roller.

There are also adjusting screws on the upper pairs of rollers. The upper rollers adjust at the same time as the lower rollers.

During the repair, the mirror will have to be embedded in a metal profile.

If the mirror is broken, it is replaced. For replacement, the sash is removed and disassembled.

The frame in which the mirror is fixed is held by 4 screws - 2 at the edges at the top and 2 at the bottom. After the frame is disassembled, a new one is bought to replace the broken mirror. The replacement mirror must match the dimensions (width, length and thickness) of the original fill.

Installing the silicone seal

It is convenient to install a new mirror on a flat large table. The mirror fits on the table. A silicone seal is glued along the edge of the mirror.

Do not reuse the old seal, as it has become thinner during operation. You can buy a new seal at any store that sells furniture fittings.

Installation of a metal frame

A frame is assembled on top of the seal - first, the upper and lower profiles are put on, and then the sidewalls. The sides are attached to the upper and lower profile with fixing screws. Rollers are installed on top and bottom of the assembled sash.

Roller pressure adjustment

Attention, when assembling the frame, the fastening screws are screwed in with a 5 mm hexagon, and the adjustment with a 4 mm hexagon.

A broken mirror is most often replaced with a new one, but if you want to hedge against subsequent repairs, instead of a mirror, you can install a sheet of veneered plywood.

Loose fit of the flaps along the entire length may be due to clogging of the rail groove. This problem is solved by cleaning the gutter.

In either case, it makes no sense to restore the video. It's easier to buy a new video and replace the old one. The recommendation is valid for both the lower and upper rollers.

The squeak is triggered by debris between the bracket and the wheel. Contamination is removed manually without the need to dismantle the mechanical assembly.
A squeak appears from excessive pressing of the rollers (relevant for the upper and lower assembly). This problem is solved by adjusting and loosening the pressure of the wheel to the profile.
A squeak appears as a result of clogging of the lower rail and the wheel slipping along it. The problem is solved by cleaning the grooves and degreasing them.

The solution to the problem is to dismantle the lower rails and reinstall them parallel to the upper profile. It is possible to determine the correct position of the lower rail relative to the upper profile with a laser level or a plumb line.

In order to properly clean the grooves, the doors will have to be removed. During cleaning, debris is removed from the grooves, after which it is recommended to degrease the guides.

You also need to degrease the clamping part of the rollers so that when they come into contact with the profile, they do not slip or creak.

It is not difficult to bring cabinet furniture to its original state. For example, scratches and chips can be repaired with a color-matched filler.

You can quickly solve the problem by filling the scratch or chip with paraffin. Excessive damage is repaired by fully covering the cabinet with vinyl veneer.
