My pitfalls:
it took a lot of time to remove the engine, because also changed the clutch and the rear root seal. the box remained in place, the CV joints did not touch.

Now we take the pipe and put one end on the wing in the area where the hood is attached, having previously placed a thick piece of fabric so as not to scratch the paint, then we construct a semblance of a strap (I took it from the old knapsack), we throw it under the support and onto the pipe. It turned out to be a kind of lever. We raise the engine with one hand and with the other we take out the support bolt and carefully lower the engine - do not be afraid it will not go anywhere, just lower it a little.

I found a piece of pipe of a suitable length, propped up the engine (an ear near the generator) and lowered the whole car with a jack. At the same time, the engine did not move, and having chosen the position, you can safely pull out the support bolt, and then raise the machine with a jack again. This will lower the engine.
Now you can unscrew the crankshaft bolt and remove the alternator and power steering belt pulleys from it.
Now we unscrew the upper timing belt cover (on 4 bolts) and the lower one (it seems 3 bolts, one of them in the middle of the cover right under the pump flange).
Now you need to remove the large washer from the crankshaft - it sits on the key. (I didn't find any washer - maybe it is on B5, but not on B3 ...
Next, screw the crankshaft bolt into place and, with the candles unscrewed, turn the crankshaft clockwise with a key until the marks match the block and on the timing pulley which is on the crankshaft. You can not worry about the bolt and then easily unscrew it back (but only when you install a new belt and tighten it).
Now we unscrew the bolt (I unscrewed the tension roller with a 12 spanner wrench) and remove it by disconnecting the tension spring from it.
