As a Garmin who has worked for 12 years, I can only say one thing - there is no repair in Russia. And in Moscow, too. Service is available in the USA - everything. and that is to replace it with new ones.
By symptoms of percent or ROM. Repair is equal to a new device, especially since we have already climbed there. Try to pour in the firmware - it may come to life. If the bootloader sees the device, be lucky. I hope I can hook up three wires to the computer?

For many products, to work with the Garmin Fishfinder 140, you may need various additional files: drivers, patches, updates, installers. You can download these files online for a specific Garmin Fishfinder 140 model or add your own files for free download by other visitors.
If you did not find files and documents for this model, then you can look at the instructions for similar products and models, since they often differ in small changes and are complementary.
Be sure to write a few words about the product you purchased so that everyone can read your review or question. Be active so that as many people as possible could get the opinion of real people who have already used the Garmin Fishfinder 140.

It is very difficult, but possible. Up to soldering additional circuits. Directly in any way.62s only works via USB. Sounders transmit only over NMEA via the COM port.
Message Moskus »30 May 2012, 13:27
The additional circuit is a USB host that will take data on the other side over the serial port?

just everything is fine - that cable will allow you to switch from usb mode to com port on the navigator (the whole secret is in the magic resistor). in the device settings, you will need to select nmea 4800.

Theoretically so. To see it with my own eyes. The cable is not officially sold in Russia.

I saw it works, but we use it only for FleetManagment!
If you love your wife, buy yourself a navigator, and you will always have an exact answer to the question: Darling, where are you?

Level converter is understandable. I just didn't know that 62 has a "soft" port, which can be both USB and serial.

the nuvi is the same, the tmc cable is com-ovsky.
I need help. Please. :( I use the Eagle Fish Easy 245 echo sounder. I bought it at the beginning of summer, it seemed like everything was fine. I took a new one from the warehouse. So it turned out that there is no guarantee. (They were selling for a cheaper price.) On the last fishing trip, something started to fail. And I didn’t even notice how it happened, because at that moment I was playing with the fish inspection. Then he started drawing that one for me. I have already recalled everything, and it seems not a kettle, but I can’t understand what’s the matter. Maybe something is wrong with the sonar? But it looks like there is no damage. Maybe someone has encountered such a disaster, please tell me, or maybe there are some workshops that repair echo sounders. I will be very grateful.:)
First, I would try to overload it. It happens that, due to a not very high-quality program, the echo sounders are buggy. This is done by pressing two keys at the same time. You can find out exactly about this if you go to the NAVIONIKA website and download the instructions from there (if you don't have your own). It also happens this *** nya, if the transducer (sensor) is covered, visible damage may not be seen either on the sensor or on the cable. Look for such a sensor from your friends and try to connect it (it may come from other, similar models). The main thing is not to panic. By the way, in the same place, in Navionika, as far as I remember, you can also fix the echo sounder! Go through the search and find the site.

At one time, I turned to Navionika about repairing an echo sounder, bought from them, but with an expired warranty. They suggested how to check, recommended to bring them to them, at the company they checked with their own sensor, determined that the echo sounder itself was to blame. They said that they were sending the manufacturer for repairs. Because They did not have any repaired ones for replacement, and fishing does not wait (repairs from a month or more), paid for the repair and received a new echo sounder with a new guarantee, for which many thanks to Oleg Tartak personally.

Is the sensor sold separately from the echo sounder?: Confused: sensors are usually sold separately.
IMHO, I don't think it's about the fish inspection, it just coincided

Transducers are sold separately, but the price. - from 100 Baku. I don’t know if it’s worth spending money on buying a sensor if the price of a new device exceeds less than 50% of the cost of a new sensor? I can only say the best words about Olezhka Tartak, since I have known him for almost 10 years - I have always helped my familiar fishermen with all the justifications in the acquisition of certain models of echo sounders. Regarding the repair of echo sounders: If they have spare parts, they can do it, but if there are none. - so ring! Well, about the inspection, it is clearly not their fault, but a coincidence! 🙂

Navionica's phone number was posted on the site. Call and find out everything. The people working there are normal, so you can get advice by phone. DO NOT CUT THE WIRE IN ANY CASE. In which case, the address on the forum is also there, go and give it back for repair!

here is the address and phone number! Good luck .
I tried to reboot it. (When the state was off, I pressed two buttons.) Something was highlighted, I was clattering something there. It seems like everything went wrong. The menu is in English, the depth is in feet. But anyway, when you turn it on, the simulator starts to turn on. In short, you need a person who with these devices on "you."
In the on state on the right, two keys (up, down), go to the "simulator" menu item and try to turn it off. The display language and feet (meters) should change in the same way.

I'm a kettle in echo sounders, but not to that extent.: DHow to turn off the simulator, I know, and I also know how to change the feet by meters. The problem is different. Each time the simulator is turned on, when you turn it off, it starts to glitch.: Eek:
I had to repair several pieces, in all but one, there was the same malfunction, but it was not in the echo sounder or in the sensor, but in the broken cable, the screen is foil, so it breaks, the patient's symptoms are exactly the same. :-))) Try it on a pond with the device turned on, very slowly pass your fingers along the sensor cable, gently bending it back and forth, at this time look at the screen, most likely you will find a fracture site, but then I think you know what to do. And also, turn on the echo sounder and take the transducer in your hand so that its lower part lies in the palm of your hand, if the transducer works, there should be palpable pulsating pulses such as a pulse in the palm of your hand, if they are very weak or not at all, it’s more about the wire itself the sensor deteriorates extremely rarely, and there is nothing to spoil there, mimbrana.
I repaired everything. I did it in Navionek. Thank you all for your help. The guys are normal there. They figured out what was going on right away. They say in this Eagle fish easy model there is such a problem, a program crash or something else. Well, it’s not deadly done very quickly, after that, it seems normal. So if you turn on the automatic simulator when you turn it on, and when you turn it off, it shows the devil knows what, in (in this particular model), then you have a direct road to Navionics. 200g. :)

I have known the guys from Navionika for a long time! Many friends donated their echo sounders for repairs and received quite working products. Unfortunately, not all models have spare parts, and therefore not everything can be repaired. The fact that many echo sounders have glitches is mostly due to problems with the programs. Sometimes the flashing does not help either. Congratulations on the restoration of the instrument you need for fishing and no fluff on the water.
