Printers, copiers, mfp Epson L210
When using EPSON "L" series printers, printing problems, white streaks, gaps, etc. quite often occur. Moreover, this is often not due to the drying of the nozzles in the print head, but is due to the design features of the factory CISS installed on the models of this series. The factory CISS is good for everyone (capacious donors, thick loops, good packing of loops, etc.), but there are still some drawbacks - small cartridges and insufficient ink supply. In this article, we'll show you how you can get rid of these disadvantages quite simply, at least for a while.
So, the Epson L210 printer. The nozzle test is perfect: (Maybe with gaps, that's not the point).
However, after printing several pages, gaps, white horizontal stripes appear on the printout. This is the problem we are going to solve. Turn off the printer. Disconnect the power cable from the network. Now we need to unlock the carriage and move it to the position for replacing the cartridges. To do this, we will scroll the shaft (it is more convenient to scroll the white gear).
Video (click to play).
Remove the white cover. Carefully remove the transparent protection of the loops.
Now we need to remove the cartridges. Carefully bend the latch and take out the cartridge. Difficulties arise only with the first cartridge, further it is easier, since now we see the latch.
Here are our cartridges. As you can see, they are almost empty.
We insert the syringe into the cartridge nozzle and draw out the ink. This will fill the cartridge with ink.
We repeat the process with the rest of the cartridges. We wash or change the syringe every time.
After filling in all 4 cartridges, we install them in their places. We put the cables in place, put their protection in place and screw on the white plastic cover. The problem has been resolved. If after the above procedure there are gaps in the nozzle test, you need to clean the print head. We will talk about this in a separate article.
Be sure to turn off the ink switch before transporting the printer.
If your Epson L210 printer displays a “Service Required. Contact the service center. " you need to reset the printer.
To do this, you need a program that can be downloaded from the link:
The program was downloaded, now you need to unpack the downloaded archive with a program, for example Winrar, since if the program is in the archive, it will not work.
Open the folder with the program and run the file by double-clicking (Fig. 2)
In the window that appears, press the Select button (Fig. 3)
We select your printer model from the list - L210 and select the port to which your printer is connected; opposite the port number, the model of your printer must be written (Fig. 4). Click "Ok".
If the printer model is not written, check if your printer is connected to the computer. If several printers are installed on your computer, disable them while using the program.
Press the button "Particular adjustment mode" (fig. 5)
Rice. 5
Double-click the item "Waste ink pad counter" (Fig. 6)
In the next window, put a check mark next to the item "Main pad counter", then press the button "Initialization" (Fig. 7)
Click "OK" to confirm the reset of the error (Fig. 8)
Turn off the printer with the On Off button. and click "OK" in the program (Fig. 9)
We turn on the printer and continue working, the error is cleared.
This error occurs if you print a lot or do a lot of head cleaning from the printer menu. This error is okay, this is the normal behavior of the printer, which is necessary so that you service the printer in time and the ink that collects inside the printer does not flow out onto your desk. Therefore, the error was cleared, but think about how to service the printer.

There are many reasons, after which the user will need to disassemble the Epson L210 printer. For example, it often happens that we find that the cartridge unit is actually not installed very correctly, and because of this, the head is now filled with ink.
After that, the owner of the printer put the cartridge head on another device and saw that everything was working fine. This means that the problem is not yet known. And to understand the reason, you should disassemble the printer.
For disassembly, we need two Phillips screwdrivers. One is of medium length and the other is short (the shorter the better). First, remove the paper feed tray. To do this, press down on the tray latch. Next, unscrew the two screws. Carefully lift the scanner unit and remove the cover. It can be removed easily. We unscrew seven screws, two of which, on the cover of the scanner, unscrew with a short screwdriver. There are two more latches that need to be removed before removing the cover. They are located under the control panel. Pry off with a thin screwdriver and push towards the printer. In this case, we raise the side of the cover where you remove the latch. The lid no longer holds anything and can be removed. Half of the work is done.
Disconnect the ground, as well as the power cable. Ground is the black wire that is screwed to the shield of the motherboard. The scanner unit can now be removed. There will be no problems when removing the block. First, raise the right side slightly. It leaves the hinge engagement without problems. Next, carefully lift the left side, where the wiring and the train pass. To access the motherboard, you need to remove the control unit. We unscrew two screws on each side and disconnect the ribbon cable and the power supply of the scanner unit button. Then we remove the PG loops and all other connectors. Having completed the necessary manipulations with the wires and cables, we unscrew the screen to protect the motherboard. That's all, the disassembly of epson tx200 is over. You can start troubleshooting and fixing it.
Epson L210 teardown To get to the insides of the printer, you need to remove the top of the case. It is removed simply. We unscrew the four mounting screws.
Remove the screws to detach the paper guide tray. Press the tab lightly and separate the tray. The upper case can now be removed. Pull it up gently. It should detach freely from the bottom of the printer. The absorber in this printer is full of waste ink. And the excess, which is not absorbed, began to flow out outside the printer.
A few words about the features of the repair and adjustment of the Epson L800, L200, L210 printers, which are equipped with a proprietary CISS (continuous ink supply system).
An Epson L800 came in for repair with a head cleaning task, the printer was leaking.
Before checking the printer and its head, you need to check the buffer chambers with ink for air settling, which are shown by the arrow in the figure. These chambers must be filled with ink, otherwise air will enter the head.
After that, you need to check the patency of the ink supply tubes. If they are clogged, you need to pump them.
When pumping the yellow chamber with ink, air was pumped into the system.
After disassembling the block of ink tanks, a hole was found in the ink supply tube, which was the fault of air suction, airing of the head, its drying and ink leakage.
The tube was repaired by inserting an adapter.
After that, the head was removed, soaked in a cleaning solution, cleaned and installed in place.
After installation, the head should be bled. To bleed the nozzles, it is better to open the filler valves and lift the ink block. In principle, the worse the head and check valves are, the better you need to monitor the ink level, which should be at the head level, not lower. If there are no spills during printing, you can leave them blank at all.
The price for pipe repair is 1000 rubles.
The cost of cleaning a 6-color print head Epson A4 with CISS 2500 rubles.
Another Epson L800 did not print very well with one color even after cleaning the head. The condition of the nozzles for this color was excellent, but the printer did not print in this color after every cleaning.
The problem was a faulty damper.
The color appeared only after replacing the damper.
Received repair Epson L800, which was printing blank sheets - printing was going on, but the sheet remained perfectly clean, there was no print in any color.
After removing the head, damage to the loops was detected - the contacts were burnt. The head was checked, the ink went through the nozzles.
This happens if liquid, usually ink, has entered the head connector. The head loop was removed and replaced with a new one.
However, even after replacing the cable, the Epson L800 printer continued to drive blank sheets.
Repair or replacement of the head loop - 2000 rubles.
This happens if the decoder on the motherboard burns out. The formatter board is located in the rear left corner of the printer.
We remove the formatter and replace it with a new one.
After replacing the formatter board, the printer started to print perfectly.
The cost of replacing the main board (formatter) Epson L800 4000 rubles.
When replacing the main board, you need to be sure that the head is in good working order, otherwise the board may burn out.
Epson L210 does not take paper - replacing the paper feed rollers of the Epson L210 printer (instruction).
The printer does not take paper or picks up several sheets - we change the rollers.
To get to the pickup roller, you need to remove the scanner unit. We unscrew the indicated screws:
We remove the part of the case that covers the scanner cable:
Disconnect the ribbon cable and remove the scanner unit:
Unscrew the screw and remove the mount:
Having loosened the latches, we move the right side of the case:
Remove the plastic protection over the roller:
We remove the roller by loosening the specified lock:
To change the separation roller, we transfer the specified checkbox to the "transport" mode:
We turn the printer over by loosening the specified latch:
Remove the diaper block that covers the separation roller:
We shoot the video and change it to a new one:
We assemble the printer in reverse order.

Hello! Exactly the same printer with the same problem. Confidently clings to plain paper, half pulls it out, but not seeing it, stops and makes a second attempt to grab the paper and run, after which it gives an error that there is no paper.
The printer is in perfect condition, the encoders are clean (wiped), the paper flag is working (I activated the flag with my hand and turned on the printer, which, after turning it on, reported a paper jam).
Is the paper sensor optocoupler the one soldered on the main board? Or the one that hangs on the ecoder tape?

Epson with a built-in CISS is an excellent printing device. The system is qualitatively made at the factory, everything is reasonably thought out and allows the user to work without any problems.
But it would not be an inkjet printer if it had no problems, sarcasm, but it is :)
I would like to tell you a little about how to pump ink in the NPC system in Epson printers with a built-in system.
It would seem why do this ?!
Despite the fact that the system is not "China", but seemingly from a factory, nevertheless, thanks to the negligence and indifference of users, problems arise with them.
It all starts with what, with the fact that we we do not like to read the instruction manual of any new purchased device, it doesn't matter if it's a printer or a washing machine.
The first reasonat which ink dampers in factory systems run out - this is the wrong first start... The first time you turn on an Epson printer with a built-in CISS, the user should refill the CISS donors with ink and let the printer pump the system for about 20 minutes... I do not know how to do so that this would not happen, but users manage to do so. Then regular cleanings begin in the amount of 100,500 pieces and, as a result, a blocked diaper counter in a new printer.
Whatever this happens, we carefully read the operating instructions and correctly perform the first start-up of the device.
The second reason - these are closed air holes in the CISS device. I don't know why, but for some reason users close these holes and start using the printer, naturally, ink does not get into the system cartridges (dampers) and the printer does not print.
Whatever this happens, we carefully read the operating instructions for the device and properly operate your printer.
Third reason - it missed to refill ink on time. Everything is clear here, they printed, printed and bang. Does not print, you look, and the ink is out. Sadly, you need to be more careful and monitor the amount of ink. This case is excluded if you always use original ink.since after printing a certain number of sheets, the printer asks to fill it with ink and enter the codes, otherwise it will not print. If you are using non-original ink and do not enter codes, then this problem is not excluded.
Whatever happens, either use the original ink, or be careful.
Remedy ...
To say unequivocally whether the ink in the CISS dampers has run out or not, you can only say by taking out the dampers and visually assessing their presence there.
In order to get them, we bring the carriage with dampers to a position where nothing will interfere, in order to pull the dampers up ... (I recommend the video)
This can be done, for example, by unplugging the printer power cord while the carriage is moving and moving the carriage by hand to the desired position.
The second option to move the carriage to the desired position is to unlock the carriage and move it by hand to the desired position, this is done in the off state of the printer.
Now we remove the protective cover of the dampers ...
Move the cover to the right and lift it up ..
We take out the damper chambers themselves (well, or cartridges, if it's easier to understand) ...
We take out each of the dampers upwards by pressing the latch ...
Having pulled out the dampers, we look at how much ink there is in them, if they are practically not there, then we pump it over, if there is ink, then we install it back ...
In my case, the ink was not in one of the colors, so I will fill in all 4 dampers. For this we need regular honey. a syringe and probably a napkin ...
We insert the syringe into the outlet of the damper a little at an angle and draw out the ink until the damper is full of ink, remembering to put the clip of the ink plume in the working position ...
Filled dampers look like this ...
Putting everything together in the reverse order, doing several regular pumping from the printer driver, letting the printer stand for 30 minutes, after the printer should print perfectly.
I made a short video especially for you, this is what I do, we are watching:
This is not a clever trick.

I bought a new board, they said I need to do initialization. I'm still wondering, this site has so much information about everything and everyone, but not about initialization. hmm)). And so the fact is that I am afraid to do anything without instructions, the first repair of the inkjet was given and the board burned out (I did it from the video, but it happens), now I have to repair it for my hard-earned money. I bought a board so I'm afraid to ditch it. In general, I present to you a video. There I enter 1- initial setting 2- head ID input and click finish and then OK, but I don’t understand what to do next? type introduced these two points and that's it? click on the exit?. Or maybe besides these two points there is something else?

(3) Are there instructions anywhere?

here I am in history. It turns out that the PRINT HEAD is also DEAD))))))))))))))))))))))

(7) and why is the board? It’s working and, as it were, transistors are normal and a resistor.
9. 7929035460404.10.17 12:48
(7) Now I understand what's what. I order a fee and PG
Started with a flooded print head flushing. At first it turned on without transistors, the printer turned on, the print head moved, several times, then the lights blinked. The board is alive, the head is changed, the transistors are changed - the transistors are original A2222 and C6144. The transistors are out. Soldered new ones, turned on without a loop to the head. Burned out again. I also need to change the E09A92GA driver. Prompt specialists also burned the head of the printing?
need to change but the head may be alive. I closed the loop.
The cable is serviceable, and the printer is practically new. Yes, I wanted to share where I got the transistors, they often ask. On aliexpress - 5 pairs, that is, 10 pcs. minimum lot for 250 rubles. But with the driver, the minimum batch of 5 pieces is more difficult. at a price of 1900r per batch. If there are other options, tell me!
E09A92GA driver arrived? ordered on Aliexpress. Soldered. The transistors were also shorted after the last test. And I soldered them. The printer turned on, the head moved, then a droplet blinked. I set the ink pumping, during pumping the printer turned off. Now I suppose everything again - replacing the head, driver, transistors. The Japanese amazed with their masterpiece.
Jyrgen, Yes, the masterpiece is still
There, the native ink is so shitty, with a little idle it dries up. Better to immediately change the motherboard and head.
And after replacing the motherboard, it must probably be initialized somehow, it will be empty, as it is solved.
Why change the motherboard when you can do it? I have an Epson t50 which I remade for l800, also burned both the transistors and the head driver, after the repair 1.5 years have passed, the printer is already 6 years old
The driver of the head is from Moscow at least 100, 2 transistors p400
Olegych, The driver of the head for L210 on Ali costs about a gadget + transistors + work = new mother.
With a problem that has not been eliminated from him and the new motherboard will burn to hell
PYSY the motherboard must be started for the first time without installing transistors, if the printer works out the mechanics, then look at the head, remove, look at the connector, check the cable, if there is soot, then clean it or for scrap / replacement, with frequent distortion of Epson's loops, contacts peel off, they can bend and short in the connector, watch everything
I probably already wrote, the head has been replaced (I ordered it for Ali), the train is checked, there are no traces of carbon deposits, there is no detachment of the conductors yet. When I changed the driver, I accidentally unsoldered and lost a small resistance below the driver. Through this resistor, one of the legs of the E09A92GA microcircuit is connected to the minus. I just discovered this when I was looking at a new board to order. I don't know the value of the resistance.
The main question is whether the head is still alive or not and how to initialize a new motherboard. Tell me who came across.
you do not need to initialize anything, turned it on and works, but before that, check the head itself for a short circuit through the loop, if there is a problem, then the new mother will burn out after the old one
show the photo of the drive with the place of the sealed cutoff, think about it, look for a datasheet
My mother is lying around, incl. we will find out the denomination, if necessary.
Jyrgen, do you see at least one denomination there yourself?
The fact of the matter is that on such a small resistor there is not any designation as well as on other conductors and resistances, I just indicated the place where it was. This is a photo with Ali, there he is and on mine he was now I know for sure.
Jyrgen, it probably has a position number
And you pointed your finger to the sky
So I asked the place to indicate where he was, take a picture and circle it, business then, especially at dohtur68 there is the same fee
Thanks to all. I ordered a motherboard for Ali. Now about the PG to check it, I can’t imagine how, it’s probably not realistic, some conclusions (practically alternating through one) are connected to the case, the rest show little resistance, I suppose it should be so, but there is nothing to compare with. In general, I did not fill it with flushing, I ordered the PG on Ali. Could she die with transistors and with a driver?
Jyrgen, Already in the first post everything is too muddy. If the printer was turned on without transistors, then, in theory, the problem is either in them, or in the loop, or in the new head. Maybe transistors beguiled when soldered? And the head is more kirdyk than alive. Does the train have a short road?
Yes, I did not solder it correctly once (NPN instead of PNP), but then, I don’t remember exactly, the printer did not turn on. The train was checked only visually. You can, of course, check between the tracks, the appearance of the new one without traces of short circuiting and peeling. I ordered the head too. Then I will unsubscribe.
This was the beginning of the opus.
I also ordered a head on Ali, the train is normal, well, I will ring the tracks for fidelity, then I will unsubscribe.
My questions: 1) Tell me about the transistors, is everything correct? 2) How to check if the E09A92GA driver is working properly? 3) Tell me what to do, according to what I described.
Most likely the E09A92GA driver flew away. I had a problem with a drenched head. I changed my head and transistors that had flown out, began to print blank sheets. I didn't bother with the driver and took the motherboard. Now it costs 2000r And the driver is in the area of a gizmo with an unknown replacement result.
Thanks for the advice. I disassembled the head and BOOOT it is an ambush, short only on the inside on the back side where the loop is inserted, invisible from the outside of the head. The loop is intact (rang out), but the F1 fuse was knocked out (as I wrote above), in the end I came to that, ordered a new one for ALI head and a new motherboard. I also checked the power supply at the output as it should be 42V DC.
Systematization of common faults is given in the table.

If the test is printed perfectly, you can skip reading.
If the nozzles are clogged, do the cleaning 2 more times and print the test. If the test is with stripes, read on.
Air may have entered the system. You can remove it by pumping the ink as described in the article of the same name. Then, we do the software cleaning of the nozzles and print the test. If there are stripes again, read on.
Before technological cleaning, let the printer stand for about 6 hours and then run the software cleaning and nozzle test again. If the test is not passed, we start the technological cleaning. In this process, a bunch of ink goes to the absorber (diaper).
If the nozzle test does not print satisfactorily, you need to flush the print head. More details in the video below.
