Turn the engine crankshaft clockwise by the pulley mounting bolt, while guiding the belt into the pulley stream until the belt is put on the pulley (at this point, the belt tension will loosen).
Rotate the crankshaft until the mounting tool is not caught by the belt, and remove the tool.
Turn the crankshaft a few turns and check that the belt is correctly positioned in the pulley grooves. Reinstall the belt if necessary.
Chevrolet Cruze Power Steering Pump Replacement
If the pump (Fig. 25) fails, replace it as an assembly, as repairs require special tools and equipment.

Remove the Chevrolet Cruze power steering pump drive belt by cutting it with a knife.
Loosen the clamp securing the fluid supply hose to the Chevrolet Cruze power steering pump by squeezing its bent ears with pliers.
Slide the clamp along the hose and disconnect the hose from the nozzle.
Unscrew the bolt-fitting of the high-pressure pipeline to the power steering pump fitting and disconnect the pipeline.
Turn out two bolts of fastening of the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering from outside a final collector. Remove the pump.
Install the Chevrolet Cruze power steering pump in the reverse order of removal.
Fill fluid into the power steering system and bleed air from it.

- We unscrew the anthers, and then we twist the acquired damper bolts
- We make rubber gaskets at the junctions of the hydraulic booster tubes
- We add Hi-Gear fluid “Sealant and tuning for power steering” to the Chevrolet Cruze power steering reservoir
