At first, let's agree that almost any bread maker has its own strengths and weaknesses. This article is devoted to the strengths of the issue. But today we will talk about the main problems of modern bread makers.

Perhaps the main disease of a modern bread maker concerns the transmission mechanism of the mixer - the part of the device designed to knead the dough. For example, different consumers have about the same complaint about the MOULINEX OW 1000 bread maker: the poor quality of the mixer, or rather, the technical imperfection of the bearing assembly. With intensive use, the device may fail in about 1-1.5 years.
Another bread maker of this brand, MOULINEX OW 6002, offended several consumers at once with a breakdown of the temperature sensor: a few months after the start of operation, the bread begins to burn, first in the “medium crust” mode, and then in the “light crust” mode.
There is also a third participant in this marathon of breakdowns from Moulinex - OW302230IX, in my opinion, the funniest of all. One of the consumers complained about the constant squeak of the device (apparently, the matter is in some kind of malfunction of the sound program), which they could not fix under warranty. Sadly, however.
LG kitchen appliances have always been famous for their excellent quality. The buyers have consistently few complaints about the bread makers of this brand. Although exceptions do happen. So users of the LG HB-1051CJ bread maker complain about moisture leakage through the mixer gasket. Naturally, this prevents the dough from reaching uniformity, the bread remains unbaked.
"Burned out heating element" is a very common type of breakdown of household appliances. Bread makers (eg LG HB-159 E) are no exception.
Spontaneous shutdown can also be attributed to fairly common breakdowns. I remember that my old German hairdryer liked to switch off at the most inopportune moment, as if to say “That's it! I've had enough for today! " The Philips HD9020 / 40 bread maker does the same with some of its owners.

In addition to serious breakdowns in modern bread makers, which, like it or not, force you to take your favorite device to a service center, there may be a lot of minor flaws.

For example, the Kenwood BM450 bread machine, with all its obvious advantages, has a backlash in the bucket, which makes it difficult to open the dispenser softly and quietly.

The PANASONIC SD-ZB2502 BTS bread machine also has problems with the dispenser (repairmen sin on a weak spring), and quite often: the products literally fall into a bucket of dough.

You can also find PHILIPS bread makers on the market. Almost perfect in the technical part, they sometimes give software glitches.

Among other troubles that cannot be called breakdowns, but which sometimes very annoy consumers, it is worth noting:

persistent plastic odor,
loud noise during mixing (according to some users "makes noise like a concrete mixer"),
inconsistency with the reality of the recipes attached to the device (the ratio of ingredients is often "lame"),
no crust on the bread.

Perhaps it's time for home appliance manufacturers to listen to consumers' opinions. After all, it is easy to lose a reputation together with customers, but to regain it is almost impossible.
