Despite the fact that the principles of operation of these two types of engines are different, in their design, diesel and gasoline engines are very similar, to say the least - they are hardly identical. Their main difference is mainly in the margin of safety, that is, in the resource. The fact is that the loads on the pistons and the crank mechanism in a diesel engine are incomparably higher than in a gasoline engine. And here is the paradox: it would seem that in terms of reliability, a diesel engine should lose to a gasoline engine, but no: everything is exactly the opposite. Knowing the weak points of a diesel engine, engineers, when designing them, maximize those components that are exposed to the greatest stress and wear. As a result, almost all diesel engines installed on modern cars are more reliable and have a longer service life than gasoline ones.
Cars made in China, which, according to experts, are now quite comparable with European ones in their reliability, are no exception. So, the diesel engine GW4D20, which is equipped with the Hover H5, - a motor of the company's own design - will allow you to drive hundreds of thousands of kilometers without any problems.
