In detail: do-it-yourself repair of Khrushchev's undershirts from a real master for the site my.housecope.com.
Don't be upset if you don't have enough money to buy a new full-length apartment. A little effort, and a dilapidated two-room Khrushchev can turn into a cozy comfortable nest. Take an example from the protagonist of this article. He decided to turn his small apartment into a mansion and enthusiastically set to work.
Since there was not enough money for a full renovation, as is often the case, our craftsman decided to put the apartment in order in stages.
Let me tell you a secret right away: the process dragged on for three long years. But the result was worth it.
First of all, the master began to reconstruct the bathroom. By combining a microscopic bathroom and toilet, it got a pretty decent amount of space. The walls, of course, had to be leveled. And for this purpose, sheathing with moisture-resistant plasterboard turned out to be the most optimal.
He installed the washbasin on a sturdy metal frame.
There was also a place for a new water heater.
The hot water stand was successfully camouflaged with a bath podium.
The wife chose the color of the tiles, mirror and shelf. It turned out very stylish.
Plasterboard was also useful for repairs in living rooms.
The craftsman successfully used the metal profile for the manufacture of shelves and niches for a TV.
And again my wife worked as a designer. She approved the color scheme and thought over the interior details.
The laminate on the floor was laid without problems using OSB boards. The bedroom is ready!
Finally, the turn came to the corridor. And here the owner again used his favorite materials: drywall and profile. Yes, I had to lose a few centimeters of space. But, on the other hand, removing old plaster and installing new one is a rather difficult task for a non-professional builder.

For the floor, laminate was again used. This time in combination with ceramic tiles.
And the final chord! The walls are faced with artificial stone, the ceiling is decorated with a decorative wood-like beam, unusual lanterns are hung.
The most laborious was, of course, the renovation of the kitchen.
It had to be partially rescheduled. The master shortened the wall between the kitchen and the living room, giving the small room additional volume.
A small piece of Styrofoam came in handy to cover the unnecessary window to the bathroom.
Floor tiles look luxurious. And the wall is decorated with plaster boards covered with a lacquer-sink.
The wall separating the kitchen and living room is decorated with the same white brickwork.
The refrigerator is conveniently located in a niche. The kitchen is just beautiful!
What a fine fellow our fearless craftsman! He was not afraid of difficulties, put effort and ingenuity, used the artistic taste of his wife and, as a result, transformed the old apartment beyond recognition. I built a real palace with my own hands!
Good day!
So far, as they say, the memory is fresh, I want to share the overhaul with partial redevelopment of the 2-room Khrushchev.
I will not tell you how many times we have asked ourselves a question. after the purchase-))). “Why did we buy it?”, “What to do with it?” and "how to live here?" ... so many nuances emerged that were not initially visible.
So, the original (repair was only during construction)
Implementation of the scope of work on the construction of new interior partitions according to the plan
Further, finishing plastering work on all walls, arranging the ceiling and gypsum board (the kitchen-corridor ceiling was lowered by 4 cm and completely sewn up with sheets behind which the wiring was hidden), boxes and gypsum cortex were made in the rooms around the perimeter for spotlights and wiring
Wallpaper gluing, laminate flooring and installation of stretch ceilings in rooms, installation of sockets and switches, installation of doors, installation and connection of sanitary ware in the toilet.
Installing a kitchen, connecting household appliances, installing a sink with a mixer and, most importantly, installing a refrigerator-))))). you can live everything
KITCHEN
Wow, it feels like people with imagination will live in this apartment!
I liked how you chose the color scheme. Not just a compromise option (timid halftones, white), but full-fledged good colors!
The kitchen is cozy and warm, cheerful for children. There are interesting wallpapers in the hall. Only the sofa cushions with gold patterns did not look, they are from another opera.
I looked at your chandeliers with pleasure, I am glad that there are no spotlights everywhere.
I am wary of photowall-paper, but here, it seems, it turned out well.
The bath does not leave indifferent. I liked the brightness, the specially selected cabinet with a sink and the transition of red from the floor to the walls. But the decor is variegated.
Congratulations on the renovation. You are very cozy. Heat. Tell me the size of the bathroom.
Do you use a small washing machine? Does it make sense?
yes actually standard dimensions ... the width of the room is 1500mm, and the depth is 1800mm
that with regards to the stripping machine, of course it makes sense, but it may seem that 3.5 kg is not enough for a run ... BUT this drawback is more than compensated for by the fact that it hangs on the wall at face level and does not take up space on the floor ... I think the best solution for such baths ... and you can scroll the machine twice -))) ... stretching the same 6kg as a regular washing machine at a time
you know, after the photos AS IT WAS and those technicalin the corridor the wallpaper is nice)) liked it))
pearl also does not cause rejection)) good
the bedside table fits perfectly in the bathroom ... in one word, I liked almost everything)) +++
according to the project you have three sofas)) why so many?))
There are never too many sofas.
Well done! Everything was done very carefully! I just don't like the glossy ceiling, but these are my personal cockroaches ...
oh, and a broom would be somewhere else to define, otherwise it spoils all the beauty ...
about sofas ... well, probably)))
two sofas ... one in the hall ... the other in the nursery
the nursery is visually divided by a partition into two zones
-the nursery itself with furniture and a full-fledged bed, a TV set and a coffee table
-and the area for grandmothers, where there is a sofa just under the air conditioner (photo added)
Not the most successful apartments in houses built in the times of Khrushchev: very small areas and imperfect layout. In those days, the problem was solved - to provide each family with a separate living space, and no one paid special attention to the comfort of living. What they are good about is that the redevelopment of the Khrushchev does not cause any particular difficulties: load-bearing walls, as a rule, are only external, all the rest are partitions. They can be demolished or relocated without compromising the bearing capacity of the entire building. But this does not mean that repair work can be started without a project and approval. Any changes are subject to registration.
Redevelopment is any change in the configuration of the partitions in the apartment. It is strictly forbidden to change anything in the load-bearing walls without a preliminary assessment of the damage and determination of measures to eliminate it. In the case of unloaded walls or partitions, everything is not so categorical, although it is proposed to first draw up a project, then agree on it, and only after that start implementing the ideas.
It is worth knowing that there are several unacceptable alterations that you will never agree on:
-
Expansion of the area of "wet rooms" - kitchen, bathroom and toilet - is allowed only at the expense of technical rooms. They cannot be placed above the residential ones. That is, you can pick up part of the corridor, built-in wardrobe, hallway. In this regard, there may be controversial points about some types of redevelopment. In particular, the photo below shows such a disputed area.
Disputed area when expanding the area of the bathroom
The fragment highlighted in red is actually in the corridor, but according to the BTI documents, this is a living area.And if the redevelopment is submitted in this form, it will not be accepted. To get around this obstacle, they first install a partition that separates the corridor, draw up this redevelopment, then submit a project with an increased bathroom area.
- due to the area of the bathroom;
- if the expansion occurs due to the area of the living room, it is impossible to install plumbing and kitchen equipment (sink and stove) on it;
- if the kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, it is prohibited to combine it with the living room.
- rooms become more spacious and comfortable, and their interior is more residential;
- many walls in such houses are not load-bearing, therefore, with some diligence, they can be dismantled fairly quickly. Bearing walls are not used, and the new design will delight you in full;
- the new layout opens up unlimited possibilities for apartment owners. The design of the premises can be different, which allows you to show imagination, to make a unique surface finish, thereby decorating the interior.
- the complexity of the repair and design design, because it involves the dismantling and erection of walls and walls in an apartment;
- takes the space of one of the adjoining rooms by dividing;
- requires additional investment in wall dismantling and room design. However, when doing the work with your own hands, the significance of this disadvantage can be somewhat downplayed;
- longer repairs, increased degree of contamination with construction debris and dust after work.
- erection or removal from lightweight material, for example, from drywall;
- transfer of interior partitions;
- decoration of a balcony or loggia with plastic panels.
- expansion of the area of the apartment due to the flight of stairs;
- removal of load-bearing structures and relocation of utilities;
- combining several rooms into one.
- combining the hall with the kitchen allows you to allocate a separate area for cooking, dining and relaxation, not burdened with unnecessary walls. It is possible to delimit the described zones by finishing the wall, floor and ceiling, by building movable shelves, as well as by using light curtains made of threads, and so on;
- this technique allows you to give the apartment maximum functionality;
- aesthetically, the combination of the hall and the kitchen looks very original. This design is very trendy today.
- bathroom and toilet are expanded only due to the storage room or corridor, but not due to the kitchen or living quarters;
- you cannot touch the load-bearing walls, the only thing that is permissible is the arrangement of a doorway in such walls;
- you cannot move the kitchen to a bath, bathroom or living room;
- when combining a room with a gasified kitchen, at least a light partition or another type of dividing the space of a kopeck piece should be provided.
Changing a gas stove to an electric one is not always a good way out, but you can get around the last point in another way: by placing sliding doors or an "accordion".
One-room apartments are mainly bought by young people. In this case, a possible option for redeveloping a one-room Khrushchev is to transform it into a studio apartment. Usually, all partitions between the room and the kitchen are removed, and the partition separating the hallway is often demolished.
The option of redeveloping a one-room apartment in a studio apartment
What remains unchanged in any case is the location of the bathrooms: any transfer of these premises in apartment buildings is prohibited (with the exception of the first floors).
In the photo above, the redevelopment also affected the bathroom, but at the same time it did not change its location. The dimensions have changed - the area has increased due to the transfer of two walls: the one that faces the room was moved slightly forward, and the side one was moved closer to the front door. This made it possible to install a washing machine. There are often difficulties with her in small apartments. The hallway in this version is small, but in the room you can allocate space for a dressing room.
Another option for redeveloping a 1-room Khrushchev is presented in the next photo. In this case, the corridor and the kitchen were combined, the doors to the room were moved further from the entrance, thanks to which the functionality of the room increased significantly. It also became possible to allocate space for a spacious built-in wardrobe in the corridor. The functionality of the kitchen did not suffer, its area, as a result of the destruction of the partition, even slightly increased - by 0.2 square meters.
Redevelopment of 1 room Khrushchev
Another method of increasing living space, which has been widespread in recent years, has been applied here - insulation of balconies and loggias. With a sufficient level of insulation and organization of heating, a comfortable temperature is maintained there. At the same time, it is possible to remove without any particular difficulties that part of the wall that used to be under the window. The rest of the wall must not be touched. In this case, an office is organized on the insulated loggia.
Khrushchev's layout: 1 room
Consider another option for redeveloping a one-room Khrushchev, which was built in a brick house. There are other areas, a balcony instead of a loggia, a very small bathroom and a small kitchen, but the partitions are the same as in the previous case.
Due to the use of a corner shower cabin and the abandonment of a bathroom, it was possible to optimize the location of the plumbing so that there was a place for a washing machine. At the same time, the wall was made beveled, which gave an increase in the area of \ u200b \ u200bthe kitchen. True, the hallway in this version is quite small, but the kitchen has become almost a meter (0.7 square) larger.
The living area was increased due to the insulation of the balcony, the desk and wardrobe were moved there. The peculiarity of this redevelopment is that the customer needed to have 5 sleeping places in such a small area: for 3 children and 2 for adults. As you can see in the photo, they are all available: one two-story children's bed.
Another redevelopment option
Sometimes the previous idea, as they say, "does not warm". Not everyone perceives the absence of walls in the kitchen normally, even if there is no partition from the hallway, and not from the room ... In the next version, the redevelopment of the Khrushchev was carried out by moving the partitions. Moved the side wall of the hallway - moved towards the room.At the same time, the front wall of the hallway has been moved almost close to the door to the bathroom. As a result, the area of the hallway has been increased, and there is a place in it for a built-in wardrobe or dressing room.
To compensate for the decrease in the area of the room, the area of the kitchen has been reduced. But it almost did not lose its functionality, since due to the transfer of the partition closer to the bathroom door, a place appeared for installing a refrigerator. Such a redevelopment of the Khrushchev building led to the fact that the dining area was moved to the room, and the swing doors were replaced with sliding or "accordion" doors.
In this case, the room has an L-shaped appearance, and this makes it possible to put a partition that will separate the "children's bedroom" from the "living-dining room". The same option is suitable for those who want to make a two-room apartment from a one-room apartment. Often couples with a small child undertake such a conversion of the Khrushchev. Another option for converting a 1-room apartment into a 2-room apartment, with a different initial layout.
Make a kopeck piece of one room
This is the easiest way - to put a plasterboard partition. It should occupy no more than half of the clearance, so that in the second half there is still natural light.
Another example of how a corner one-room "Khrushcheba" can be turned into a studio apartment with a dedicated bedroom. In the bedroom, of course, there can be no unnecessary items, only a bed and a wardrobe. But it is isolated.
Two-room Khrushchevs in the houses of these years are the majority. Their disadvantages are the same as those of one-room apartments: small areas and inconvenient layout, walk-through rooms. However, most of the problems can be solved by moving some walls. For example, adjoining rooms can be divided, and along the way, a two-room one can be turned into a three-room one.
Alteration of the Khrushchev: from the "tram" we make two separate rooms
We put an additional partition separating the room from the corridor. Thus, a rather large room is obtained, which can be used as a storage room, or can be turned into a dressing room. The second room - long and narrow - is divided into two zones: a bedroom and a living room with a light plasterboard or other sheet material partition.
In the photo below, there is another type of walk-through rooms in a kopeck piece: - to get into the second room, the first one needs to be crossed from one wall to another. An extremely unfortunate layout in the sense that the functionality of the first room is very low: the "dead" passage zone falls out. And since a pantry is often made at the end of the second room, it cannot be fully used.
Another option for converting a two-room apartment into a three-room apartment
According to the proposed version of the alteration, the shape of the bathroom due to the transfer of the wall becomes rectangular, the hallway is combined with the first room. It is used as a living room from which the entrance to the kitchen is made. The back room is split into two small bedrooms. Pay attention to the partition between the two bedrooms - it is non-linear so that you can arrange a small dressing room in both rooms.
Redevelopment of Khrushchev: 2 rooms
You can turn an ordinary two-room apartment in a panel Khrushchev into a modern studio apartment with a combined living room-kitchen. The main task with such a redevelopment is to obtain permission to move the entrance doors. In this case, the former hallway turns into a dressing room. The kitchen and living room are combined due to a partially demolished partition, and a bathroom is also combined.
If desired, the second room can be divided into two using a light partition that separates the bedroom from the work area or study. To make the zoning more complete, but at the same time there was access to sunlight in the bedroom, the partition can be made not to the full height, but by about 1.5 meters.
An interesting option for redeveloping a corner kopeck piece
The issue of alteration of the kopeck piece in this version of the alteration was very effectively resolved. In fact, it became a three-ruble note.Due to the fact that the hallway is beveled, the area of the bathroom has been increased. The partition separating the kitchen from the room is partially dismantled. The second room is divided into two parts, the area of the second has been increased due to a storage room and a closet. It turned out two separate bedrooms, and due to the fact that the apartment is corner, there are windows in both.
The corridor has an unusual shape - its walls are located diagonally. Its functionality is small, but so is the area. And the rest is a very good option.
Alteration of a three-room apartment in Khrushchev, series II-57.3.2. The worst thing about this option is the scanty size of the toilet and bathroom. Basically, in order to rectify the situation, repairs were started. For redevelopment, the walls between the toilet and the bathroom were removed, the adjoining part of the corridor was fenced off with a wall in which they made doors. Since in the area where the corridor was previously, the waterproofing of the floor is worse, additional measures are required in this area.
Redevelopment of a three-room Khrushchev: before and after photos
The second weak point of the original layout: there is nowhere to put the cabinet. There was a small closet in the bathroom section of the corridor, but it was very small. In this regard, it was decided to move the wall of one of the bedrooms, and make a wardrobe in the vacant space.
To unite the kitchen and living room, part of the wall was demolished. According to the project, it was necessary to reinforce the adjacent load-bearing walls and floors. Since the stove in the kitchen is gas, doors are needed. Sliding were supplied.
The next renovation option was started in order to increase the area of the bathrooms, as well as turn one of the rooms into a living-dining room, with access to the kitchen. Along the way, you need to get two bedrooms.
Redevelopment of a 3-room apartment in Khrushchev
The walls between the toilet and the bathroom were dismantled, part of the corridor goes to the bathroom. To organize the normal space of the hallway, the wall is slightly shifted by one of the rooms. The kitchen is entered from the side of the living room, the entrance to the second bedroom is made on the opposite wall, and the door block that previously led to the second bedroom has been dismantled, the opening is repaired. Read about the design of arches here.
Redesign of the layout: before and after
Another option. The main task solved by the redevelopment of the Khrushchev is to increase the area of the kitchen and bathroom. The solution for the bathroom is traditional - the walls were removed, the wall was also leveled. A small kitchen is combined with a dining room. She even found a place for a recreation group - a sofa and a TV.
Solved one more problem: the passage rooms are separated. This happened due to a decrease in the area, but the premises became more functional, and two dressing rooms were made in the fenced-off areas.
If you are thinking about removing the partition between the kitchen and the room, you can read about the design of the combined kitchen and living room here.
With an increase in the number of rooms in apartments of this layout, the disadvantages are only exacerbated: the small bathroom and kitchen no longer become, the rooms are often walk-through. One of the most unfortunate options in the photo below. This is what was "BEFORE".
Redevelopment of 4 x room Khrushchev: photo "before"
This apartment has a relatively large entrance hall, but it is not very functional. The only corner with decent walls is occupied by a storage room. It is problematic to use all the other walls: 7 doors go into the hallway.
Redevelopment of 4 x room Khrushchev: photo "after"
In the proposed version, the rooms have a more regular shape - closer to a square, which is easier to use. There are two separate bedrooms left, and two rooms have been converted into a dining room and living room. From the hallway there is an entrance to the fenced-off dressing room.
The bathroom remained separate, the area of the bathroom was increased due to the straightening of the wall. The part that previously belonged to the corridor also requires reinforcement of waterproofing.
The best way to change the premises beyond recognition is to redevelop.Overhaul of a 3-room apartment in Khrushchev must be carried out in accordance with building codes and with the permission of the BTI.
Khrushchev is a house with the most common layout. Such buildings were built back in the 60s. All of them are distinguished by small kitchens with forced ventilation and an adjoining bathroom. A large number of built-in closets and mezzanines were installed in the apartments. These objects greatly reduced the already not high ceilings (2.5 meters). The experience was complemented by cramped corridors and poor soundproofing. On the landing, there were usually 4 apartments, and starting from the second floor there was also a balcony.
In the video: example of a finished apartment after renovation
The treshki were distinguished by a large spread in area: from 45 to 59 sq.m. The most common layout: two small rooms in the form of a book. It seems as if one room was divided in half. A more acceptable option: 2 large adjoining rooms and a small third. There is also a third option - scattering rooms on different sides of the house. This layout is also called L-shaped. Some apartments have isolated rooms.
Despite the described features, the repair of the Khrushchev does not create many problems. In apartments with a standard layout, you need to level the walls, floor and ceiling. But small rooms can be enlarged by the kitchen. How exactly to do this, read on. The opening that leads into the corridor should be attached to the room. You can increase the amount of space in the kitchen by taking the refrigerator out into the corridor. The balcony in such apartments is usually insulated. That is, there are a lot of design solutions for improving the premises. You just need to choose the right one.
There are several types of Khrushchev layouts, differing in size and location of premises. Usually a 3-room Khrushchev house contains one room adjacent to the kitchen. When redeveloping an apartment, this wall is demolished, creating a kitchen-living room. Old entrance close up. In a single space, the work area can be visually separated from the kitchen. For example, install a bar counter, make flooring of different levels, paint walls in different colors.
The wall can also be "moved". Then the kitchen will expand, but the area of the room will decrease. You can also make an entrance to the kitchen from it. This option is not suitable for a family with a large number of people.
Due to the corridor of the apartment, you can expand the bathroom. BTI will not allow him to take him to the living quarters. The work is more complicated if the bathroom is connected to the bathroom. When repairs are made, the latter is dismantled, a shower cabin is installed instead, and the free space is filled, for example, with a washing machine. When redeveloping the bathroom, the other two rooms of the apartment are left unchanged. To create the illusion of a high ceiling, you can widen the doorways.
A Soviet-era Khrushchev building consists of consecutive rooms. In such an apartment, you can demolish the wall between 2 and 3 rooms, as well as between the kitchen and the third room. After such a redevelopment, a large space is obtained. Renovation of the premises will allow it to be divided into hotel zones: living-dining room and, for example, a nursery or an office.
If you remove the partition between the living quarters, you get a large studio. In it, the zones will differ in flooring. You can also make repairs to the ceiling and paint the walls in different colors. This will not only visually expand the space, but also divide the functional areas.
Khrushchev can be increased by a fourth room. From it you can make, for example, a dressing room. If there is little light in the room, there is no point in creating another living space. And things can be stored in dark rooms.
There are usually many doors in a 3-room apartment. If instead of them, beautiful arches are built, the space will become even wider. If you have permission from the BTI, you can increase the area of the apartment by combining a balcony with one of the rooms. This will break the facade. But the most important thing is that the structure withstands the glazing of the profile.
It is worth paying special attention to the flooring. It is usually made from wooden planks. However, the service life of such material does not exceed 20-30 years. During the renovation of the apartment, you need to remove all the old boards and make the floor screed. In the rooms where the tiles will be laid out, it is not necessary to level the coating. But in places for laminate or linoleum, you will have to try.
Renovation of a 3-room apartment is an opportunity to radically change the appearance of the premises. From any of the described redevelopment options, you can make a beautiful, comfortable and original space.

The problem of limited space in the Khrushchevs is understandable. Houses were built at a time when the population of cities was rapidly increasing, but how to organize the life of a modern person who lives in an apartment with a small area and an inconvenient layout? Self-redevelopment of a 2-room apartment in Khrushchev's photo, features, advantages and disadvantages of which are further in the material, will help to solve the problem.
The layout features of a not very comfortable two-room apartment in Khrushchev are quite tangible, and their examples are collected in a small selection of photos. Often these are such negative aspects as discomfort from the inconvenient arrangement of rooms, limited space due to the small area of the rooms. That is why the owners of such apartments seek to carry out redevelopment by hiring a hired team of builders. To save money, you can do the repair yourself.
Khrushchev repair with redevelopment has both advantages and disadvantages. The advantages of this solution are the following points:
The redevelopment process has the following disadvantages:
Ideas for all sorts of redevelopments, their designs are truly unique. But when performing work, problems often arise: how to coordinate repairs with the relevant city authorities? Make sure that the renovation plan does not apply to the conversion. This concept provides for the installation, replacement, transfer of utilities, sanitary, electrical, and so on. All these changes must be made in the registration certificate of a residential apartment. If such events are not planned, the redevelopment will not have to be legalized. If the repair work includes such operations, they will need to be agreed and entered in the data sheet.
It will not be possible to order, make the necessary papers quickly, the whole process can take up to 8 months. This time can be shortened by contacting the housing authority directly. But cooperation with a real estate, construction company will cost a certain amount of money.
It is important to remember that not all types of redevelopment require approval. Among those changes that do not require approval:
But there are a number of processes that cannot be carried out without coordination. Such works include:
Apartments in five-story buildings, called Khrushchevs, have negative features, so many people tend to consider their own redevelopment options. To choose one of them, you need to thoroughly figure out which redevelopment of the Khrushchev is most relevant in this case, which projects, ideas are the most successful and do not use load-bearing walls.
Whatever type of redevelopment is planned, the apartment must have three functional zones:
As practice shows, adjoining rooms in such houses cause a lot of inconvenience for people living here. But there is a way out of this situation. You can divide two rooms, slightly reducing the usable area in one of them. In this case, the following options are possible.
But the head of a large family, while carrying out repairs, would rather leave a wall between these rooms, laying a doorway between them. Then you will need to reduce the area of both rooms by moving the smaller wall deeper. And on the resulting wall, you can install one door per room. Thus, the corridor in the apartment will lengthen, but the rooms will become separate, as in the photo below.
The hall in Khrushchev is most often connected to the kitchen, the meager square meters of which do not allow to fit into such a space all the pieces of technology, furniture, and so on that are relevant here. By removing part of the interior wall, more space appears in the apartment. And with the correct zoning of the resulting space, the use of methods of visual expansion of the space, you can create a truly functional, comfortable and attractive interior. Take on the ideas of experienced decorators.
The repair has the following advantages:
Such a space in Khrushchev looks original, where the living room and kitchen areas are separated by a bar counter. Such an interior is both functional and interesting to look at, as evidenced by the photo below.
If a balcony adjoins the kitchen, its space can be used to increase the kitchen area. The partition between the balcony is removed, the kitchen expands, and a dining area is placed on additional useful square meters, as in the photo below. Only in this case, it will be necessary to carry out work on the insulation of the balcony, so that in the winter season it is comfortable to be in the kitchen, and there are no inconveniences due to the low air temperature.
Everyone decides for himself which redevelopment of the two-room Khrushchev will be the most comfortable and cozy for him, but it is better to listen to the opinion of experts. The bathroom space can also be increased by connecting it to the toilet, as in the photo below. It is convenient, practical, and also looks very original.
Due to this design step, you can save several square meters of space, where a washing machine or laundry basket can fit. At the same time, the load-bearing walls will remain, and this is such an advantage of redevelopment, the importance of which is difficult to overestimate to the owners of an uncomfortable apartment in Khrushchev.
However, you should not think that such ideas allow you to place a huge bathtub in the bathroom in the Khrushchev. It is better to replace the bathtub with a shower stall, then the space will be functional and attractive at the same time. In addition, this solution also has other disadvantages. Like any redevelopment of a dwelling, the combination of two rooms entails higher material costs for repairs with redevelopment.
What else will help save space in the Khrushchev and make it more comfortable? Ideas of experienced designers, successful design. After redevelopment and wall relocation, design techniques can be applied to create a functional interior in similar living spaces. One of the ways to achieve comfort is the correct zoning of space with the help of furniture, decoration, decor.
First of all, you need to carefully select furniture for the Khrushchev, which would fit into the overall design. It is better to prefer built-in cabinet models, a wardrobe, a sofa bed. Such items are at the same time highly functional, do not take up much space, are attractive in their aesthetics and decorate the interior.
You need to think about the finishing materials that you plan to use. With their help, you can separate one zone from another, focus on the dignity of the room, hide its flaws, change the design.

When thinking about redeveloping an apartment, it is important to remember that there are certain rules that should not be violated:
