Do-it-yourself repair and replacement of the intake pipe Renault Logan

In detail: do-it-yourself repair and replacement of the Renault Logan intake pipe from a real master for the site my.housecope.com.

Many motorists were faced with the fact that the muffler burns out, and some simply crumpled it or tore it off. Of course, wear is associated with the operation and performance of the engine. It is worth remembering that the more you drive, the faster the muffler will speak. It is not so difficult to replace it on Renault Logan, given that the design of the car is quite simple.

In the video, replacing the muffler with Renault Logan below:

To replace the Renault Logan muffler, you will need full access from the bottom of the car. This is done for ease of use and correct installation of parts.

New clamps for installing a muffler

For a secure installation, purchase new clamping clamps!

So, let's get down to the process:

  1. We unscrew the clamps connecting the middle part and the muffler itself.
  2. When this is done, remove the muffler from the rubber bands on which it is attached.

We dismantle the rubber bands of the muffler

So, you can easily and simply change the muffler to Renault Logan.

Replacing the middle part of the Renault Logan muffler is slightly different. Since there are two variants of the exhaust system, consider both. In order to make repairs and replacements, you will have to settle in with a "grinder" and a welding machine.

So, let's proceed to the replacement process in the first option:

  1. We unscrew the bolts securing the "pants" to the manifold. There are 4 of them.
  2. By removing all the rubber bands, the entire exhaust system can be removed.
  3. We unscrew the clamp of the main muffler from the rest of the part.
  4. Now, with the help of a grinder, we cut off the pipe, somewhere in the middle between the catalyst and the middle part.

We take the grinder and cut the pipe

Option number two is a collapsible exhaust system. Consider the replacement process:

  1. We unscrew the pipe clamp between the main muffler and the middle part.
  2. We do the same operation between the middle and front parts.
  3. We dismantle the middle part of the Renault Logan muffler.
  4. We install a new part and tighten the clamps. It is worth noting that all pipes are inserted one into one from front to back.
