DIY incubator repair cinderella

In detail: do-it-yourself Cinderella incubator repair from a real master for the site my.housecope.com.

In the same way, like many other types of technology, incubators, over time, under the influence of various factors, lose their original properties and fail. In order for this device, indispensable in the poultry industry, to be able to reliably serve for a long period, it is necessary to inspect it from time to time and carry out correct repairs.

People who are seriously involved in poultry are well aware of the tremendous help that modern incubators bring them. Depending on the goals and needs, three main categories of these egg devices are produced:

Household incubators are characterized by small dimensions. The total number of chicken eggs that they can hold does not exceed three hundred. Farm-type devices are designed for up to five thousand eggs. And large industrial incubators are designed to "incubate" five thousand eggs or more.

Small-sized household incubators are currently the most popular among those who try their hand at poultry farming. Domestic models such as Cinderella, Nestka, Kvochka, Laying and TGB, as well as R-com devices from South Korean manufacturers are in great demand. Competent maintenance and timely repair are important factors that will ensure a long service life of these devices.

Incubators are quite complex technological devices, which include a large number of different parts and components. Unfortunately, sooner or later they cease to effectively cope with their functions and fail. Most often, the following components of an egg incubator are exposed to all kinds of breakdowns:

Video (click to play).
  • thermal regulator;
  • relay;
  • mechanism for turning eggs;
  • a heater block equipped with fans.

It is important to always keep in mind that the breakdown of even one single part can lead to incorrect operation of the device. And under such conditions, the death of embryos, alas, is inevitable. To prevent this, timely competent repair is necessary.

In the event that a breakdown occurs during the warranty period, the best and most effective solution is to take the household incubator to a professional service center. Alternatively, replace the faulty device model with a new one.

At the end of the warranty period, you can carry out repairs yourself, but this method is applicable only to those who have the appropriate skills. Since in their design the models of incubators Laying, TGB, Cinderella, Kvochka and Nasedka are in many respects similar to each other, the process of carrying out repair work is identical. The main thing in this case is to correctly determine the breakdown. To do this, you can see a preliminary photo and video that will help you complete the repair efficiently and efficiently. In addition, it is important to read the instructions first.

It should also be borne in mind that some types of work, in particular, high-precision adjustment of the incubator's thermal regulator, cannot be done by hand. This requires the help of professionals.

One of the most important components of a household incubator is a thermostat, which ensures the correct temperature level in this device. The most common problems associated with this component include:

  • breakdown of a special temperature sensor;
  • breakage of electrical wires;
  • violations of the regulatory function.

If the incubator is equipped with only one thermometer, any of these malfunctions can lead to the death of avian embryos.Repairing and restoring wires, as well as replacing the temperature sensor are tasks that you can handle with your own hands. But only professionals are able to correctly correct problems with regulation.

If the mechanism responsible for the timely turning of the eggs in the incubator is damaged, a special sensor must be replaced. In this case, the most important thing is a timely and prompt response.

Another important component of the incubator is a relay that maintains the required temperature level by turning off the heater when the desired temperature is reached and re-enabling it when it drops. There are two types of relays - electromechanical and solid state. The main problem of the first is the strong wear of the contacts, and the second is the overheating of the triac key. Therefore, in the first case, it is necessary to timely clean and replace the contacts, and in the second, to cool the key.

High-quality and reliable operation of the incubator is the key to successful poultry farming. Therefore, it is necessary to provide it with careful and accurate operation, with constant thorough cleaning and timely repair.

To replace the thermostat in the Cinderella incubator, you do not need special tools - an ordinary screwdriver will be enough!

Using a screwdriver, unscrew the 2 self-tapping screws (self-tapping screws) that are located on the body of the heating device.

Carefully slide the plastic casing of the heater along the wires and remove the heat-insulating material.

Open the cover of the thermostat: use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the 2 self-tapping screws.

Carefully remove the sealing corners and thermocouples from the plastic housing of the heater.

The assembly of the heating device and the installation of the thermostat must be carried out in reverse order, ensuring good thermal contact between the thermoelements and the heater.

Hello! Please tell me why the temperature sensor on the Cinderella incubator sometimes shows readings or not ?! Is this how it should be, or is it not normal? We just bought it, but the passport does not say about it! Could it be a marriage? (Elena)

Elena, hello. Answering your question, I will say right away that such a problem is far from being an isolated one. The fact is that almost every second user is faced with poor performance of the Cinderella incubator's thermostats. This can be said to be the weakest point of this device. For some, after several times of work, they fail completely, for others, they begin to junk.

Having analyzed the experience of many users of this incubator, I can say for sure that even with a working thermostat, you need to be on the alert. His indicators are too unstable. Judging by your question, you just stumbled upon this problem as well. Don't think this is normal. This is a clear defect in the operation of the device, which is very common.

Despite the fact that the technique is new, it is better to replace the thermostat at the "Cinderella" right away. I advise you to do this too to avoid further problems with the eggs. Temperature and its accurate reading is one of the most important aspects of incubation. If you do not get warm enough, the eggs will cool down and the embryo will die, and you will overheat as well. In any case, this is a defect, so replace the faulty part.

I also advise you not to forget that the body of this device is made of foam, and this material does not quite meet hygiene standards. It must be regularly treated with disinfectants. We make wonderful ventilation in a household incubator such as Cinderella, Ideal brooding, kvochka, etc. incubator.
All you need: a burner, an assembly gun, silicone sealant, a plastic bottle (1.5 l.), The actual incubator, or rather its lid.
Here is a detailed video.

Using a burner, cut off the neck of the pet bottle

The second video shows this in detail.

I already understood, while I was writing, the second video appeared.
Thanks again.

Super Duper! Definitely a bookmarked topic!
Thank you Valentine!

I have a problem, the video is not loading. Can you tell me how many ventilation holes you need to make and the principle of operation, the plugs are not constantly unscrewed?
Please tell me.

Can you tell me how many ventilation holes you need to make and the principle of operation, the plugs are not constantly unscrewed?

Sorry for the long silence, For a long time I did not have the opportunity to go on the air. So:
There are two such holes for such an incubator. At the beginning of incubation, when the egg is intensively gaining the desired temperature, and there is no need for excess cooling, I keep the stoppers closed. Starting from the "middle day" I change the usual plugs to plugs with a small hole (about half the diameter of the neck). And, towards the end of incubation, three days before hatching, when the egg begins to consume more oxygen, I completely remove the plugs. Until the next bookmark, they will no longer be useful.

Whoever does not count chickens in the spring will have nothing to count in the fall.

By the way, in one photo I noticed, if I'm not mistaken, honey is mounted. electronic thermometer

As I understood that honey. an electronic thermometer is needed to measure the temperature, but what about the fact that different thermometers show different temperatures, they even showed a transmission about this. Water was poured in glasses, it was at room temperature, and 10 different thermometers were checked, including mercury and everyone showed different temperatures and the run was great

As I understood that honey. an electronic thermometer is needed to measure temperature, but what about the fact that different thermometers show different temperatures

Well, here you really have to trust some one thermometer. Or choose the one that is closer to mercury according to the indications. It seems that mercury is considered to be the most accurate.
On the other hand, the value 37.8 is not a tablet. Think about how stable, and close to the accepted as a basis, body temperature in a hen can be.

Whoever does not count chickens in the spring will have nothing to count in the fall.

Question:
Hello Valentin Nikolaevich!
I have a question for you as an experienced person (in the field of incubation), I just didn’t know who else to ask, please tell me how to properly drain the water from the incubator heaters Cinderella, Thank you very much in advance!
Sincerely, Alexander.
Answer
Hello, Alexander! Cinderella belongs to low-budget incubators. In it, they saved on everything, including the ability to competently and accurately carry out preventive work. Therefore, do not worry: Unplug the incubator from the mains, wait until the heating elements cool, carry the lid to the bathroom, or where you can drain the water, take out the plastic plugs that covered the water inlet openings, turn the incubator lid upside down, and stupidly shake out the water from there. Then leave to dry. For greater confidence, you can stuff gauze, bandages, etc. into the filler holes to thoroughly wet the containers from the inside. As you can see, everything is trite 🙂

Thank you so much for your answer! It turns out that everything is really that simple! clap

Whoever does not count chickens in the spring will have nothing to count in the fall.

Why is it so barbaric (turn the lid of the incubator upside down, and stupidly shake out the water from there.)
The incubator, although low-budget, is equipped with a pipe for draining water.

And you can also save on burner, sealant and bottle.
Just open the window.

Then, that “Cinderella” (and similar models) is not an incubator, but an obscene curse. It would be barbaric to throw it in the trash immediately after purchase. I, as a civilized person, spent two seasons trying to make a Bird's Milk cake out of this shit.

Congratulations, you are in luck. None of my two "styrofoam" had even a hint of such an upgrade. I myself, I confess, did not think of the hose.

And you can also save on burner, sealant and bottle.
Just open the window.

There was such an idea. But I was annoyed by the view uneven and not in the grooves of the standing window.

In modern farming an incubator is required to hatch the bird... Even if it is a very small household, an incubator is quite an affordable and reliable device with which you can get a good result. Now, on the agricultural market, there is a wide selection of incubators that differ in functionality and price.

Incubator Cinderella occupies one of the places of honor in this market... This device is suitable for both novice poultry breeders and experienced farmers.

The incubator does its job when connected to a 220V network, and can also operate from a 12V battery. Also in this device there is a mode in which you can maintain the required temperature using hot water.

The water is heated and poured into a special container after 3-4 hours. In this mode, without the help of electricity, the device can work for about 10 hours.

Incubator body made of durable foamwith excellent thermal insulation properties. The heater, which is built into the surface of the lid, occupies a large area, which ensures a uniform temperature regime in the incubator. The interior is heated with metal shades.

Automatic incubator Cinderella

The device is equipped with a device for turning eggs. The eggs are turned 180⁰ during the day about 10 times.

The incubator is equipped with an adjustable temperature sensorlocated on the lid. If the temperature inside decreases, then the heating immediately turns on. Also, all models include an electronic thermometer that runs on a regular battery.

Incubator Cinderella is distinguished by high hatchability of birds. With good starting material, it reaches 90%. Which is significantly higher than some other manufacturers.

There are three types of egg-turning incubators on the market:

  • Manual egg flipping... The simplest and most inexpensive model that is suitable for novice poultry breeders. You will have to turn eggs in such an incubator every 4 hours.
  • Mechanical coup. In this apparatus, the turning process takes place independently, but it must be constantly monitored so that the eggs turn evenly.
  • Automatic flip. A new model in which the coup takes place automatically, and there is no need to control it. The grates turn over on their own after a certain period of time.
