The rotation of this screw changes the height of the plunger lift, and, consequently, the flow area of the valves of the chambers of the Audi 100 distributor. The screw is located between the plunger rod and the flow meter lever. The air-fuel mixture on a cold Audi 100 engine is enriched to maintain a steady rpm.
Idling the engine is its operation when the gas pedal is fully released. This means that the throttle valve is considered fully closed. Therefore, a different air duct is needed.
