They brought in such a mobile miracle a self-powered speaker for repair - now they are gaining popularity, thanks to our Chinese comrades.

They are usually cheap - only 300-1000 rubles, and have wide functionality, simplicity, and surprisingly good parameters.

It would seem that with such dimensions, it seems that you cannot get a normal sound with bass: but it wasn’t there - this column has 2 speakers on board, and quite decent ones, since it has a lot of bass, and despite its small size it is really very loud!

All electronics are powered by a lithium battery, such as were previously used in mobile phones manufactured by Nokia, for example.

A portable speaker can play radio with autosearch, or play music through the line-in, or play music files from a portable storage device, that is, a flash drive.

There is also an equalizer, which is switched by a separate button from the control panel.

The repair itself was simple: it was necessary to solder one of the speakers to the board - the speakers, which came off when disconnected, since they just sat down on the device, the soldering is simple - we clean, tinker and solder the wires according to the inscriptions. The Chinese have reliably marked all connections in full, they are soldered well and the tracks do not bounce.

This mobile speaker is very durable, if you decide to buy the same one, it has an assembly on clamps along the body, rather strong plastic and everything is tightened with self-tapping screws - 4 connect the side halves of the case - they are longer, and 4 connect the lower part of the device - a stand, it is shorter. In general, after half an hour, the repair was successfully completed, and these photos were taken along the way for review.

In the practice of repairing electronic equipment, there are often cases when the repair of the device does not make sense due to its low cost or the lack of the necessary replacement part on sale.

Even on fairly large radio markets, it is sometimes difficult to find the necessary electronic component.

So, when repairing a portable speaker system, I was unable to purchase a microcircuit PAM8403 to replace the faulty one.

And, although the portable speaker itself is quite cheap (about $ 20-30), its repair may be justified for personal use.

When checking portable “speakers”, it turned out that the amplifier produces rather strong signal distortions, noticeable by ear even at minimum volume.

The miniature dynamic loudspeakers were tested for mechanical problems. The speakers turned out to be working properly.

The cause of the malfunction was the amplifier microcircuit - PAM8403.

PAM8403 - amplifier integrated circuit class Dspecially designed for mobile devices such as portable DVD players, portable speakers, laptops, LCD monitors.

Despite its tiny size (16-pin (SOP-16) SMD package), the PAM8403 has very impressive performance. It includes two amplifiers, each of which can deliver 3 watts of maximum sound power. The supply voltage can be from 2.5 to 5.5 volts. The microcircuit is very economical due to the fact that it works in class D (pulse).

Attempts to purchase the PAM8403 chip have ended in failure.

It was decided to find the simplest replacement for this microcircuit.

Scrolling through the guide to modern integrated circuits, the choice fell on a small-sized amplifier microcircuit TDA2822.

TDA2822 is a fairly common microcircuit, very often used in cheap Chinese sound-reproducing equipment - cassette players, small-sized radio tape recorders.

It includes two amplifiers with a maximum output sound power of about 1 watt. Supply voltage from 1.8 to 12 volts. Naturally than the higher the supply voltage, the higher the power developed by the microcircuit... It is possible to turn on the TDA2822 in bridged mode (for one speaker - mono mode).

The microcircuit does not require a large number of external elements. The schematic diagram is shown in the figure.

Of course, when replacing the PAM8403 microcircuit with the TDA2822, it is necessary to make a printed circuit board, or to assemble the amplifier using the surface mounting method. Many electronic circuitry assemblies for portable “speakers” can be used. For example, there is no need for volume controls R1.1 and R1.2, it is already in a portable speaker system. It remains to solder the amplifier to the TDA2822, connect the power supply from the existing 5-volt battery and the volume control to the microcircuit.

At the moment, it is not difficult to repair portable speakers, since all kinds of ready-made modules based on PAM8403 or analogs are widely sold.

The modules are very tiny and can be built in to replace a burnt-out microcircuit. You just need to solder the signal wires of the right (R) and left (L) channel, apply a 5V supply voltage, connect the outputs (R OUT and L OUT) to the speakers.

You can even find amplifier modules with Bluetooth that can be paired with an Android smartphone or tablet. In terms of sound quality, modules based on the CSR8635 chip are better than their counterparts on the OVC3860. The sound has a pleasant bass and does not hurt the ear with an obvious abundance of high frequencies. It should be noted that the sound quality depends on the quality of the connection. So, when transferring files in parallel via bluetooth and playing music from a smartphone, the wireless channel is noticeably cut. This leads to the fact that the codec compresses the audio stream, which is immediately noticeable by ear.

It is not worth overpaying for a module on the CSR8645 chip, which, unlike CSR8635, supports the AptX codec, since most AptX devices are simply not supported. Therefore, it makes no sense to buy a more expensive module based on CSR8645, the capabilities of which will not be realized in practice.

The only remaining difficulty in repairing portable speakers is the high cost of the speakers. If you have faulty small-sized speakers, then there is no point in changing them, since a pair of speakers for replacement will cost almost the same amount as a new portable speaker.

It is worth mentioning that now all kinds of fake replicas of famous (and very expensive) portable speakers like JBL Charge 3 are in circulation.

Naturally, they break. Sometimes they are simply poured over with water, since they believe that this is an original product that can actually be immersed in water.

As it turned out, these Bluetooth speakers are made on the basis of cheap boards. In the one that came across to me, the main microcircuit was AC1720AP11057-5A8, which is responsible for bluetooth, control, work in conjunction with a USB-input and an MMC card reader.

In addition to it, the printed circuit board contains a pair of MIX2052 amplifier microcircuits and a charge / discharge controller for a Li-ion battery.

Despite the widest range of electrical heating appliances on the market, the gas water heater is still one of the most popular means of heating a house and providing it with hot water. This is a fairly economical option, since it allows you to simultaneously provide several drainage points in the house.Another advantage of gas water heaters can be considered the fact that they allow you to use hot water, practically unlimited, without any restrictions.

Such devices are designed to provide domestic and industrial facilities with hot water. The essence of their work is quite simple: cold water from the pipeline enters the column heat exchanger, where it is heated by burners (they are located under the heat exchanger). As you know, fire needs oxygen, therefore, so that the burners do not go out, the column is connected to the ventilation system of the house / apartment. The exhaust gas is eliminated by means of a special chimney, which is combined exclusively with a gas water heater.

All the described types of columns function somewhat differently.

So, if the device is turned on manually, that is, the gas has to be ignited with matches, the burner will ignite from the fact that you turn the fuel supply valve. Although it is worth noting that such designs have become outdated a long time ago. Modern designs are equipped with either an electronic ignition or a piezoelectric element.

New models are activated at the touch of a button located on the front panel of the device. Piezo ignition creates a spark that ignites the pilot. In the future, everything happens in automatic mode - the tap opens, the column lights up, hot water begins to flow.

If the gas water heater is fired up electronically, then it is perhaps the most reliable and durable device. The system is turned on by means of a pair of batteries supplying the charge necessary for the formation of a spark. No buttons, no matches, the only thing you need to do to turn it on is to turn on the tap. In most cases, batteries last a very long time because the energy required to charge is minimal.

The use of gas water heaters, however, like any other equipment, is accompanied by malfunctions, frequent or rare. At the same time, there are such malfunctions that can only be eliminated by specialists who have the necessary knowledge and admission for this. But there are those that can be easily eliminated with your own hands, so we will consider them.

The most "popular" type of failure is that it simply does not turn on. If it has an electronic type of ignition, then you can easily solve a similar problem - just check the batteries and, if necessary, replace them with new ones. Often, such troubles overtake the owners a year after the purchase, since the batteries last mainly so long.
Also, when using a gas water heater, it may happen that the water in it does not warm up, or it warms up, but not well enough. Often the cause of such problems is the water unit, or rather, its defect. As a result, the membrane stops responding to pressure changes in the water supply system. And if this membrane stops stretching under the pressure of water, then, as a result, the gas valve will not open, or it will open, but not completely.To solve this problem, you should at least in general terms know the device of the gas water heater, because the defect can be of several types.
1. If salt deposits have accumulated.
2. If the system is clogged.
3. If cracks have formed, etc.
To eliminate such a problem, you must first of all disconnect the column from the gas supply, then clean the water block and check the membrane.
If the internal elements of the device are covered with soot or dirt, then this can also lead to failure. To solve this problem, you must remove the outer casing of the device, then clean each of the elements using a vacuum cleaner.
The next sign that the gas column has stopped working correctly may be the burner decay immediately after switching on. This happens due to the fact that the ventilation channel is clogged. Modern models of gas water heaters are equipped in such a case with special sensors that will inform the owner if there is no traction. After that, immediately turn off the gas supply. Next, the chimney should be checked. For this, the plug is dismantled and everything that has accumulated there is removed.

Important! You can check the draft of the chimney in the old "old-fashioned" way: bring a lighted match to it. If the fire on the match deflects in the direction of the chimney, then everything is in order with it. If this did not happen, then he needs a complete cleaning.

It is for this reason that the gas water heater should be inspected annually - this is the only way it will work correctly.

Modern gas water heaters are small and compact, so they can be placed in almost any convenient place. Their service life depends largely on how correctly they are installed and used in the future.

As you know, the device of the gas water heater is such that it has to work with a rather dangerous fuel. For this reason, during installation, make sure that, God forbid, there is no gas leak. If you cannot, for one reason or another, take care of this, or, even worse, cannot eliminate all the leaks, then further operation will turn into a dangerous activity, which sooner or later can lead to an explosion.

For this reason, it is categorically not recommended to install a gas water heater with your own hands. It is better to have professionals who have all the necessary skills, experience, and the appropriate equipment to do this.

So, for installation, you need the following tools:

dowels;
magnet and salt filter;
drill;
the required number of taps;
pipeline;
chimney corrugation;
gas pipe;
Mayevsky valve;
actually, the column itself.

The device is installed only in the kitchen and only on the wall, which is made of refractory material. The distance from the column to the wall surface should be at least 2 centimeters, if it turns out more, then this is even better. An asbestos sheet should also be laid here, which must have a minimum thickness of 0.3 centimeters.

Important! The apartment / house must have a chimney that will remove the products of gas combustion. It will consist not only of vertical, but also of horizontal sections, and on them it should go at a slope (approximately 0.2 centimeters per each running meter).

So that the pipeline does not accidentally burst, the gas column should be installed only when the water is completely drained from the system.

But editing, as we have already said, is not the most important thing. It is also important that the device is used correctly, for which certain operating rules must be followed. If you do not do this, then even the most expensive and high-quality model will soon break down. So we want to prevent this from happening. Firstly, we must not heat the water to a temperature that would exceed 60 degrees.The fact is that too high a temperature will lead to the formation of salt scale on the walls of the heat exchanger. The result is more frequent cleaning or, even worse, replacement of the heat exchanger.

In addition, we can damage the structure of the heat exchanger by using too hard water. To avoid this, the water should be softened using special means, or a special filter should be installed in the system.

Finally, it is not recommended to dismantle and clean the gas water heater with your own hands, because, as we have already said about this, professionals should deal with this procedure. Doing this with your own hands is extremely dangerous.

If you decide to purchase a geyser device for yourself, then pay attention, first of all, to the power of the model you have chosen. It should be enough to provide all your family members with hot water. The power of almost all modern models fits into the range from 3 to 60 kilowatts.

Important! The more powerful the gas water heater, the more water it will be able to heat up within a certain period of time.

The average “cell of society”, consisting of four people, needs a device with an average capacity of 16-24 kilowatts. It is more than enough for the dishes to be washed and everyone was able to take a shower. Even if the device has a low power of 16 kilowatts, it will be able to give 10 liters of hot water, which is enough to be able to wash and wash dishes at the same time. Of course, if you can, then buy a column with a capacity of 24 kilowatts, since it can provide 24 liters of heated water.

In addition, it is advisable to take into account the water temperature that a specific model can provide. For its designation, the Latin letters DT are used. For example, if water is already supplied to the heat exchanger at a temperature of 12 degrees, then it will heat up to 24 in it. therefore, it can be used even without preliminary dilution.

Today there are models that are capable of heating water even up to 50 degrees. Their power, as well as the cost, is an order of magnitude higher than conventional models. For this reason, if several plumbing elements are simultaneously connected to the system at once, then it is better to purchase a more powerful column so that it can provide them all with hot water at the same time.

Also, when buying a gas water heater, see if it is equipped with safety sensors. They are of the following types:

overheating;
damping of the burner;
burning;
reduced pressure;
temperature;
sudden interruption of water supply.

And remember: gas water heaters are only allowed to be installed in the kitchen! Installation of a gas water heater in the bathroom is prohibited! Unless she (the bathroom) meets all existing requirements.

So, we have analyzed what a gas water heater is, what are its features, what malfunctions may arise during operation and how to fix them later. We only note that such devices are extremely economical, especially in light of the ever-increasing utility rates. And the last thing: do not forget that prophylaxis of the column's performance should be carried out annually.

As it turned out, there is not much information on repair on the Internet. Rather, it is, but not the one that would help. The information is suitable for all Chinese speakers, since they are almost the same inside.

So, the malfunctions began. The column did not light up for a long time, sometimes it went out and finally stopped turning on altogether. The batteries were immediately replaced with new ones, but the result is zero.

We begin disassembly. We remove the knobs from the regulators. We unscrew a couple of screws at the top and bottom. Carefully remove the front panel and disconnect the connector that goes to the screen. The speaker will work without a connected display. Before us is the insides.

A little about the principle of work. We open the tap and create pressure, which squeezes out the membrane, and it, in turn, pushes the stem. The stem presses on the micro-toggle switch, which closes the contacts and supplies voltage to the control unit. From the block, the voltage goes to: display (lights up and shows information about the work); relay (opens the gas valve and gas begins to flow to the burners, by the way, the relay does not work from 3 V, which is given by a pair of batteries, but from 4.5 V, constant voltage); sensors (they are connected in series and together in working condition give a short resistance); ignition electrodes (13000 V). In working condition, the column lights up.

In my case, the electronics did not work, none at all. There is one reason for everything. Disassembled almost everything, including the control unit. Power is supplied to the board when the tap is opened, i.e. chain battery-micric-board working. Conclusion - the control unit flew, which stands like the floor of the column. But everything looks good, nothing has burnt anywhere, except that the microcircuits are dead, and there is more than one of them, and even with incomprehensible markings.

And then I returned to the Mikrik, one screw of which was a little rusty, but I did not attach much importance to this, and as it turned out later, I was right. When pressed, it is short. But then the truth was revealed. It was short, but not 0 ohms, but more, about 10 ohms, sometimes more. The voltage came to the board, the column was not fully connected, so I could not check its operability, the threshold of operation may be very critical from a voltage of 3 V. I closed the wires that come from the mikrik and lo and behold, the column started working.

Mikrik was disassembled, everything inside was visually good, as expected, most likely due to poor-quality assembly, the internal contacts did not press well and showed 0 Ohm or even more, because of which the column worked intermittently. You can not rush to throw it away, having soldered inside the junction of the legs and the moving contacts themselves.

But I put our micrik.He slightly bent the bar, drilled more holes, covered the joints in the tumbler with silicone and put it on the column. Now everything works well. If anyone finds the article useful, I will be very happy.

A year after the installation of “our mikrik”, the column began to work intermittently, the water pressure must be very strong for the mikrik to work. It was decided to buy a sealed microswitch from Omron. The button in the new switch is much easier to press, and from this the column is ignited at any water pressure. The mikrik itself is hermetically sealed, so he doesn't care about moisture.

And I just have two extra speakers, suitable in size. I cut out the holes in the case and put in two more speakers. It turned out like this:

Now is the time to put in two amplifiers. Before that, I ordered PAM8403 boards for Ali DIY. Cost a penny, 30 cents apiece. Smaller than a matchbox. Class D amplifier, this means high efficiency and no heating.

A bunch of wires on the snot and you're done. The sound is taken from the native 3.5mm connector, I drilled a hole for power supply and glued the standard 5.5mm connector.

Supply voltage - 5V, can be powered by powerbank or phone charging. Sounds quite bearable, without wheezing. So, almost for free, I made myself a column.

As you can see from the photo, the state in which the device was brought can be described as donor organs 🙂 Children have applied their talents 🙂

An attempt to find his description on the Internet gave more or less accurate information. By its nature, the device turned out to be a portable audio player. Judging by the information obtained during a visual inspection and by searching the Internet, it turned out that this is quite an interesting and multifunctional device. The manufacturer tried (and he did it well) to squeeze the following features into the small box:

MP3 player;
FM receiver with the ability to autosearch and memorize stations;
the ability to work as an external amplifier for gadgets such as a smartphone or tablet.

To implement these functions, the following were on board:

USB connector (as they say in the internet - with support for drives with a memory capacity of up to 16 GB);
slot for microSD memory card;
Line in jack for connecting an external signal source;
a connector for connecting an external antenna (as the last one I used a cord that connects the device to an external signal source);
micro USB connector for connecting an external 5 Volt power supply;
lithium battery BL-5C from Nokia phone with a capacity of 1020 mAh, which should be enough for several hours of continuous operation of the device;

Judging by the installed 3-watt speakers, the output power should be 5-6 watts for both channels.

In fact, it turned out to be not so catastrophic. Two of the four clock control buttons were broken, one held on parole. Having soldered it out as a sample, I went to the radio market. In addition, one LED lead was torn off.

After they were installed in their regular places, the device showed signs of life, suddenly blinking with all the colors of the rainbow with a single LED.

First of all, I tried the Line-in input by connecting the player to my smartphone. The speakers produced unexpectedly decent sounds - even the bass for such a small size of the speakers was like bass, and not like the tinkling of cans.

Then I tried reading a flash drive and a memory card one by one. Both methods gave a positive result, and no manipulations with the menu buttons were necessary. MP3 files started playing immediately after turning on the drives.

Then I checked the operation in the receiver mode. After connecting the cord for communication with an external signal source to the antenna jack and selecting the FM mode, the gadget demonstrated confident reception of radio stations and clear sound reproduction.

It is especially worth mentioning the output power - I connected a smartphone as a signal and started watching a movie online. Often, in order to hear something, you have to put on headphones (everything is in order with hearing), but even that is not a fact that will help. In conjunction with an audio player, the volume of the audio track was even excessive for comfortable viewing).

In general, the device was liked by the demand / usefulness of the functions and the build quality. This is not the same Chinese consumer goods that it was 15 years ago.

Of the shortcomings, it can be noted the absence of:

hours and, accordingly, an alarm clock;
indication of the battery charge level, which made it necessary to check the operation of the charger on the phone. As a result, a malfunction of the USB-miniUSB cable was identified, which was replaced with a known good one. For reassurance, I checked the health and condition of the battery by installing it into the phone;
headphone jack.

It was necessary to equip a computer workstation. In order to save money, I decided to restore and repair the old computer speakers "Genius". The speakers are sturdy, in a sturdy case and with a decent acoustic radiator, but the electronics have caused criticism. Using affordable and cheap electronic modules purchased in online stores, we managed to make loud speakers with clear sound with our own hands. In terms of their parameters, computer speakers turned out to be cheaper than similar acoustics purchased in a store. A detailed step-by-step repair instruction with a diagram, photo and video is presented.

Computer speakers "Genius SP-16" were taken for restoration and repair. Loudspeakers began their life from the days of 14 ″ computer cathode-ray monitors. The enclosures are made of durable plastic with sufficient internal volume. Speakers with high efficiency and good reproduction characteristics are installed inside the speakers. But there are claims to electronics, which were partially eliminated during operation (replacement of electrolytic capacitors). Unfortunately, the sound from the speakers was not of high quality, especially at high volume, nonlinear distortions were clearly visible and annoying.

For the repair, the following restoration scheme was applied:

Replace the existing low-frequency amplifier with a class D amplifier.
Maintain the basic controls for the speakers.
Use an existing transformer to power the speakers.

For repairs, a ready-made switching power stabilizer for 5 Volts 2 Amperes and a digital stereo ULF board (3 watts per channel) were used. This type of ULF was deliberately chosen because of its low cost (

To work, you will need a long Phillips screwdriver, a soldering iron with accessories for soldering, and pieces of tinned and insulated copper conductors. The presence of a suction for solder will facilitate the dismantling work. A tester is required to control the rations and settings.

The photo shows a diagram of the "Genius SP-16" speaker. In the diagram, crosses indicate conductors with details. All the details to the right of the cross must be soldered out and removed. The numbers show the connection points of the ULF board and power supply.

From the back side of the board, a soldering iron is installed on the legs of the conductors, according to the diagram, the power stabilizer. Before installing the ULF on the board, you must supply power to the board and check the output voltage to the +5 Volt stabilizer.
Further, the ULF board is installed on the board in the same way on the tinned conductors. The signal to the jack of the external speaker and loudspeaker is supplied with insulated conductors. See the photo.

The sound is now clear, the hiss in the absence of signals has gone beyond the audibility threshold, and the sound at maximum volume remains clear and without distortion. The repair price is less than 200 rubles (2017). Computer speakers with such parameters cannot be purchased for this price.
