After this procedure, the touchscreen must be detached from the frame with a scalpel.

Next, you need to take double-sided thin tape and glue it around the perimeter to the panel body. The new touchscreen must be glued to the tape and the phone must be assembled.

Of course, all these manipulations are not difficult, but there is one "BUT". During such repairs at home, there is a high probability that other parts of the gadget will be touched and damaged, the repair of which will result in a tidy sum.

9. Disconnect the main camera in version 5. It is held by two screws, after removing them the camera is free. In 5S, she is in this state initially.

Make sure the suction cup is fully and firmly attached to the glass.

If the glass is broken, carefully glue a few strips of tape. When attaching the suction cup, be sure to expel any air bubbles. This will remove the screen and prevent further crack propagation on the glass.

While holding iPhone with one hand, pull up on the suction cup to slightly separate the front bezel from the back of the case.

Take your time, apply even pressure. The display module is mounted much tighter than most devices.

With the plastic opening tool, begin to gently pull the back down away from the screen while pulling the suction cup upward.

The display attaches to the back of the case with plastic snaps, so you'll need to use a suction cup and a plastic pry tool to release the display module.

Continue to detach the latches to the left and right of the front panel.

When all the latches on the bottom, left and right have been detached, begin to separate the bottom of the display module from the bottom of the phone case.

Carefully position the module at approximately a 90 degree angle to the chassis.

Do not try to completely separate the front from the back, as some of the cables connect at the top of the iPhone. If done carelessly, you can damage them!

Be very careful to lift only the battery connector, not the connector. If you lift the motherboard connector, it will break.

Sometimes the battery can be removed by simply pulling on the plastic tab. Low sustained effort has worked well. If it didn't work, follow the instructions in this step.

Use a plastic spatula to gently pull the battery upward at only the three points shown. By using the tool at other points, you risk damaging the motherboard.

Use a dielectric spatula to pry the cellular antenna connector away from the motherboard (near the speaker).

Remove the hardware from the top of the motherboard.

Make sure not to damage the small grounding pad that is next to the rear camera.

On newer models, the mount may be attached to the camera body and not be removed completely.

Remove the two 1.3 mm Phillips screws from the bottom of the inside of the chassis.

Remove one 1.2 mm Phillips screw from the center of the device.

Remove the center bracket from the motherboard.

Use a dielectric spatula to disconnect the Lightning connector from its connector on the motherboard.

Carefully slide the ribbon cable away from the motherboard.

Pull out the SIM card tray with a paper clip or special tool.

Remove the SIM card tray from the iPhone.

These screws have a Phillips bit pattern, but we found the best removal tool to be a 2.5 mm flathead driver.

These screws are similar to Phillips, but we recommend using a 2.5mm flat head screwdriver.

For ease of assembly, these screws can be installed using the sharp end of the dielectric blade.

Rotate the motherboard towards the battery compartment.

Do not try to remove the motherboard right away, it is connected with another ribbon cable.

If the flash remains on the motherboard, remove it with tweezers and replace it.

Note: when reassembling your device, be sure that the lower interconnect cable is not tucked underneath the logic board.

Using the sharp end of a dielectric spatula, carefully pry the Wi-Fi antenna connector off the bottom of the motherboard.

Outside the case, keep the motherboard on an anti-static mat to prevent damage to the motherboard.

Gently pull the speaker away from the Lightning connector ribbon cable.

If you are replacing your Lightning connector with a new one, transfer the rubber boot from the microphone to the new part. This can be done with a plastic spatula.

Carefully remove the grounding cable from the edge of the headphone jack.

Take care not to lose the plastic gasket between the headphone connector and the outer shell.While aligning the headphone connector, make sure to align this gasket correctly.

Remove the eight 1.3 mm Phillips screws securing the front panel clamps to the rear of the chassis.

Remove the four front panel clips.

Use the sharp end of a dielectric blade to remove the rubber bumper from under the power button.

Remove one 1.9 mm Phillips screw (Philips) securing the power button holder to the chassis.

Use the sharp end of a dielectric blade to pry the metal holder away from the top of the case.

Press the outside of the power button with the pointed end of the spatula.

Use a plastic spatula to slide the power button holder up and to the left to release it from the metal locking tab.

Use the flat end of the spatula to pry up on the train to release it from the fixing adhesive.

Continue to pry on the ribbon near the volume control buttons.

If the spare part does not have a metal retainer, heat the old cable with a hair dryer, which will soften the adhesive and allow the retainer to be transferred to the spare cable.
