And these two factors, combined, became the reason why the adjustment of the drive constantly went astray. The way out of this situation is simple - we remove the clamp and, using a tap and a die (8 * 1mm), we drive the threads. Install the clamp and tighten the bolt. Mission Complete! When, in the course of the repair, in other words, replacing the gear change drive, the vibration of the gear lever remains in motion, be aware that there is an unnatural play in the hinges of the lever, and they also need to be repaired. You will need: keys "at 12", "for 14", a socket wrench "at 10", a screwdriver.
The burden of attaching the gear lever boot is disposable. The presence of the assembly mount is another burden.
6. Remove the front piece of the floor tunnel lining (see "Dismantling and installation of the floor tunnel lining").
13. Remove the pilot bush from the shaft.
14. Inspect the removed parts. If the slot in the guide sleeve is worn out or its rubbery mass is deformed, i.e. hardened, replace the sleeve during assembly. If there is a backlash in the course of the link hinges, otherwise the hole in front of the lever shaft is insanely worn out, change the link.
15. Assemble the parts in the reverse order to removal.

DIY backstage repair
I will tell you the easiest way to repair the gear shift on VAZ cars. It's nice to drive a car when it is new and the wings are not loose. But when the car is running, the wings are usually loose, and to turn on the reverse gear you have to press it into the seat, and when you turn on the fifth speed, you hit the passenger on the thigh with your hand, but women can be pleased with such attention from the driver, and the driver becomes ashamed that so much the speed curtain dangles.
The rocker arm loosens due to the fact that the lever axle wears out and the holes in the gear shift rod break, but plastic bushings usually last a long time.
The wings can be repaired by yourself without even disconnecting from the gearbox.
To do this, you need to remove the cover from the gear shift knob, and you can remove the socket.
The easiest way is, replace the lever axis with an m10 bolt and tighten it with a nut, adjust the nut so that it is not very tight and allows the speed lever to move without dangling. Use the second nut to lock the first nut so that it does not unscrew randomly. Even if a hole in the gear shift rod is broken, the bolt tightens, and the most there will be a millimeter back and forth backlash.

To adjust the wings, turn on reverse or fifth speed, whichever will be easier at the moment. Loosen the nut on the stage, it is shown in the photo, and put the speed lever in the position you need, if the fifth speed is in the position of the fifth speed lever. And if the reverse speed is in the position of the reverse speed lever, and push deeper forward so that the rocker sat down well on the gear shift hinge. And if there is an assistant, then even better, let him hold the lever in the desired position, tighten the stage nut.
