Until the glue dries, touch the patch, do not step on it in order to avoid displacement and deformation. It is best to lay a piece of plywood on it, press down with a load and leave it for a couple of days.

If the patches are small, it is permissible to glue only around the perimeter using C-type cold welding.

Step 3. Determine the boundaries of the patch and carefully cut both layers of linoleum under the ruler.

Step 4. Remove the scraps, take out the patch and the damaged bottom layer.

In order not to check the location of the patch along the lines of the drawing each time, you need to take two pieces of adhesive tape and stick one on the edge of the patch, and the second next to it on the coating. This will allow you to immediately lay the piece in the desired direction.

Step 5. Clean the base and apply a thin continuous strip of glue around the perimeter of the cutout.

Step 6. Lay the patch, press it well, squeezing out the air, roll it around the edges with a roller. Wipe off excess glue with a damp cloth.

The patches can have any geometric shape, depending on the area of damage and the size of the replacement material. It is most convenient to work with linoleum that imitates tiles: here they simply cut out a square along the drawn lines. For linoleum with imitation laminate, you can use rectangular or triangular patches.

This method is used if a piece of linoleum is not torn out completely and remains hanging with a flap.

To work, you need double-sided tape, a roller and a primer.
