But here's the catch, I unscrewed the carburetor, somebody knows how to properly regulate it, for this motor it works normally, idle keeps it, but the consumption seems to be more.

For the first time in life I bought a HDX 5 2-stroke motor, used. The motor, as I understand it, is a Chinese copy of the famous tohatsu 5. For me, carburetor technology is new, and it's interesting =) but ..
So far I have ridden it a couple of times and in the process I got the impression that it does not work very well. It is mainly expressed in the fact that it is very difficult to gain momentum in the range from half to full throttle (I mean turning the tiller handle). At first, up to 2-3 thousand revolutions it picks up well, but then twitching begins, some kind of gripping, the sound of the engine periodically changes from level to another, the feeling that detonation is somehow direct. In those moments when it is possible to spin it up to 4 thousand and above - it seems almost good, but still sometimes there is some kind of twitching, the feeling that the motor stops working for half a second.
I adjusted the throttle cable well, there is no slack, too much tension, the screw is deep enough in the water, the air does not catch. The candle does not fill with fuel, it is dry, with a beige even bloom.
In principle, one on boat 290 is taken to the glide, though not immediately, but two are not. But here it should probably be noted that the boat is heavy (40 kg), with a keel (nissamaran 290).
I tried to twist the carburetor and then I got into a stupor. The screw that regulates the idlers works great (where will it go)), because it directly regulates the damper), they set 1000 revolutions (there is a tachometer).
The second screw (fuel quality?) Whatever one may say - zero sense. Only in the “fully cranked” state does the motor stall. And when you twist it 2 revolutions and further (10 more revolutions) - there is no difference in the behavior of the motor. Yes, I tried to adjust according to the instructions “first we adjust the idlers, then we achieve maximum speed with the quality screw”. So I can't catch the maximum ones, they don't change so it seems to me =)

From my humble experience, I can say that most of the breakdowns on boat engines are simply the result of improper operation of the motors. Simply put, an elementary violation of the operating requirements specified by the manufacturer in the technical documentation. In this case, the repair of the motor is reduced to the restoration of the correct working conditions.
For example, one of the most common violations is that the engine does not warm up at idle speed before starting to move, or it stops at the end of work with one jerk. Of course, you just need to start doing the right thing and the normal operation of the engine will be restored. Let's say, after a certain time after starting, the engine stalled. In this case, more often than not, the problem is a closed air valve that someone forgot to open. All this is simply written in the operating instructions, which must be carefully studied after purchasing the motor.
If, nevertheless, your engine stubbornly refuses to work, then, as a rule, repairing an outboard motor begins with checking the electrical part of the engine and the fuel system. You can get started by unscrewing the spark plug. In this case, the presence of fuel residues on the spark plug electrodes will be a sign of the health of the fuel system. Checking for the presence of a spark in the spark plug is carried out by touching its thread with the cylinder block, followed by turning the starter. At the same time, it is necessary to hold the candle not by the insulator, but to fix it between some part and the block. In general, I would recommend that you always carry a set of spare spark plugs with the correct gap.
If there is a spark in your candle, but it is weak, then the reason most likely lies in the ignition coil or in the magdino. In principle, those who often repair boat motors find the ignition coil very, quickly. The same cannot be said about the magdino coil. This coil is located under the flywheel. This coil is necessary to generate additional current that charges the electrolytic capacitor, which is discharged through the thyristor to the ignition coil. Interestingly, the thyristor is controlled by a so-called Hall sensor. This sensor is a switch located in the flywheel area. It is triggered depending on the calibration of the ignition timing.
As a rule, damage to the ignition coil consists in winding breakdown (turn-to-turn short circuit) or in oxidation of the terminal contacts. It is also possible to oxidize the contacts inside the candle cap. In this case, most often, do-it-yourself boat motor repair comes down to covering the contacts in the cap with a special marine anti-corrosion grease. But before doing this, I would recommend that you check all the wiring and carefully examine the condition of all contacts. Often, this is where the cause of the breakdown lies. Thyristors rarely fail at all, especially if the engine's service life is short.
Above all else, never forget to check periodically for the presence of oil in the engine and how the cooling water is supplied. If the cooling of the engine is insufficient, then you will hear a muffled sound of the engine running, and if you then sharply reduce the gas, then the engine will simply stall, although it will not be damaged yet. But if this breakdown is not eliminated in time, then the probability of jamming of the pistons is very high, and this is not buzzing. In this case, the external elements of the engine will heat up to 100 degrees and the smell of burnt paint will be clearly heard.
