1. Remove the air filter housing

3. Use a pair of pliers to squeeze the engine harness retainer tabs and disconnect the harness from the bracket on the transmission.
4. Disconnect the harness pads by squeezing their retainers from the reverse light switch.

1. Fasten the engine to the special tool (traverse 09200-38001) using the mounting brackets (if necessary).
2. Remove the transfer case and subframe.
3. Raise the vehicle and remove the wheels.
4. Remove the front muffler.
5. Drain the oil from the transfer case.
6. Remove the engine bottom cover and side cover.
