The fillers are poured in or inserted after a part of the embroidered element has been grinded, or as in a pocket (butterfly wings, flower petals), with a complex configuration (star) - the wrong side is ripped open (2 cm), the filler is inserted through an incision, which is then sewn up.

9. Butterfly (polyethylene gravel fillers, rustling bags, beads, beads, the middle is a sintepon, antennae with smooth and faceted beads)
We work with each square, which we cut out with allowances for trimming, since after stitching the square decreases slightly. We trim the squares to size 27 * 27cm. Then we sew the squares together with strips of colored coarse calico, see the diagram (4 strips 7 * 87cm, 2 strips 7 * 97cm, 6 strips 7 * 27 cm). It will be about the invention of a person who helps develop the very first skills of life. This is a developmental mat. Depending on the price, its choice is quite varied. The more expensive the product itself, the more various developmental elements it has on it. However, the cheapest version of the rug, sometimes, is not available to everyone.

As previously mentioned, any mother can sew a developing rug with her own hands (there would be time and desire).All the stitches required for fastening parts can be sewn with a regular stitch or a zigzag stitch. And if you have a sewing machine available, then everything will definitely work out.
Another option for children who can already move on the rug themselves is a wonderful garden where the fruits are attached to shrubs and trees with stickies. The child will be happy to harvest the crop himself and send it further. For example, feed your toys or load your car.
Mothers know how painful it is to erupt the first teeth in children. The child pulls everything into his mouth, tries to "scratch" his teeth about everything that comes to hand. So why not alleviate the condition of the child, at least during classes and games. You can attach special rubberized toys to the edges or to the arch of the rug. They are usually attached to small rings (for convenience). The rings themselves must be firmly secured.

I am showing our rug with arches. For about a month I tested it, checked it in action, and now I can say with confidence that a homemade rug is great! There is absolutely no need to lay out in the store for the same UAH 300-800 🙂
To make such a rug you will need:
plastic hoop - I bought it on the market for 20 UAH a piece of fabric approximately 90x90 cm - it came out to me for nothing, it's out of stock. It would cost around 30-40 UAH. synthetic winterizer for softness and volume - about 12 UAH for such a cut two strips of thin foam rubber. You can use a synthetic winterizer instead. I rounded the corners while sewing, and cut off the excess. I have a pattern on the fabric that is very suitable for quilting. So I just sewed each colored rectangle along the outline. I covered the sections of the rug with a bias tape. The base of the rug is ready 🙂
