For this, its size should not be more than 10 centimeters. Such a defect is eliminated by gluing the cut section with the most common construction tape. It will hold the edges of the cut, however, after gluing, it is still better to invite a specialist who will completely eliminate the defect.

In the event of a rupture or a similar defect not exceeding 2 centimeters in length, you can simply seal the hole that has arisen with a small piece of material left over during the installation of the ceiling.

Punctures are also amenable to self-repair. True, you will need to buy special glue for such operations, but such a composition is available in some hardware stores. The main thing is that the puncture diameter does not exceed 2 millimeters, otherwise, it will not work to glue it without involving a master.

In other cases, when the dimensions of the repaired area are larger than those specified above, you will have to call a specialist who will help you cope with the problems that have arisen, or will advise you to completely change the canvas. The most common case when the film or fabric cannot be repaired is a tear along the weld. The scale of this gap makes repairing it impractical. With a small gap, the master may be able to close it up, but if the seam has spread over a large area, the entire canvas will have to be changed.

The repair sequence is quite simple: a patch is cut out with a margin of about 2 cm along the edges, glue is applied to the patch, and then this patch is pressed against the damaged panel from the inside. You can't press too hard, this can have consequences in the form of sagging of the ceiling at the place of repair.

Excess glue is removed, and after drying, the place is treated with water-based paint from a spray gun.

The canvas for such a ceiling is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), due to which it has a smooth glossy or matte surface.

In case of mechanical damage to PVC fabrics larger than 2 cm, it is necessary to contact the specialists, who, most likely, will advise it to completely replace it.

The repair method depends on the location:

• Hiding the cut in the groove of the baguette... Can be used if the distance from the cut to the edge of the baguette does not exceed 15 cm. You will need a piece of antenna cable and glue.
