Image - DIY laptop repair ToshibaWhat type of batteries are used in Toshiba notebooks and how to maximize battery life?

Most Toshiba notebooks are equipped with a lithium-ion battery - a power source with a maximum power / weight ratio. Toshiba notebooks come standard preinstalled with MTM (Max Time Management) software. MTM is a fully user configurable application that provides energy saving features.

Since the hard drive is the main consumer of electricity, the use of additional memory (which functions at a much lower power consumption) will reduce the drain on the battery while using the notebook.

Another way to save power is to use the F5 function keys. If the laptop is not connected to an external monitor, it is possible to set three screen backlight brightness modes: Bright (maximum power consumption), Medium (less power consumption), and Off. (no consumption). Thus, if there is diffused light in the room, it is recommended to use the "Medium" mode.

If you leave your laptop running while switching to other activities, or if it performs calculations for a long time and does not require visual control, the screen can be turned off to save power. This measure also helps to protect confidential or confidential information from leakage (see also the description of the F1 keypad lock function).

They arise for several reasons. The first is video card artifacts ... This defect rarely occurs, mainly due to the incompatibility of the drivers with the application. That is, by launching a certain game, you get distortions on the screen.

When launching other games, everything is fine. To troubleshoot, try update driver video cards and patch the game.
When artifacts appear no matter what application you are working in, then they are most likely hardware artifacts. Will help warming up or replacing the video card in the laptop .

When everything is in order with the video card, the matrix of the sony laptop falls under suspicion. It is easy to confuse matrix distortions with artifacts, so before taking your laptop to a service center, check the video card in some test.

If the video card has nothing to do with it, then the distortions under the load of the video card will not be very different. After making sure that the video card is in good working order, we replace the laptop matrix.

Replacing the laptop matrix you can do it yourself, but if you didn't have to disassemble the laptop before, it would be better to contact the service center.

A little about how we repair laptop hinge mechanisms and other plastic components of mobile technology.

The case is pretty simple. The fastening of one of the hinges is broken. We disassemble the laptop completely and remove the segment with the matrix, we will deal with it later.

We clean the places of brass wells from dust and plastic fragments.

We take Thermoplast shavings in the required amount.

We solder the brass wells into place, pour hot shavings around and put the metal reinforcement plate in place.

For example, the second, whole loop.

Now let's take a look at the hinge stop mechanisms. Toshiba laptops have several, in my opinion, the resistance of the loops is not calculated, it is overestimated. We adjust the resistance.

No traces of thermal effects are visible from the outside, including gloss.

We do not use adhesives, resins and their mixtures with soda. The advantages and disadvantages can be debated, but the post is rather just informative.

how is it done?

Most hinges have a nut on the edge, which must be rotated little by little to the left to loosen and to the right to strengthen the hinges. Very often, this nut is clamped from the end with a rivet and it is not possible to scroll it to the left. In this case, you need to grind off this rivet with a file or a diamond disc.

I alone in the first photo see Statham in the reflection?

say thank you for not being a member, otherwise there have been cases.

Hello friends! Today I will tell you how to disassemble and clean a laptop Toshiba Satellite A200... The laptop owner complained about overheating and arbitrary shutdowns of the device. At the same time, the breeze from the holes for cooling the laptop for some reason felt sufficient. So, I thought, most likely the thermal paste is dry. And if the thermal paste dries up, then its heat transfer properties are significantly deteriorated. So we disassemble the laptop without a doubt, and, of course, with a firm hand. I caught sight of a nameplate on which the required power supply of 19 V, 6.3 A and even the model number - PSAE6E-0DL03DRU (Made in China) is drawn.Image - DIY laptop repair Toshiba

Here he is handsome - barely covered speakers and a touchpad with additional functions are striking.

If caught licked bolt - it will be faster to carefully drill it out... It is better to drill at low speeds and with little effort, otherwise the plastic will overheat and the drill will fail and can damage the motherboard or matrix.

Detach gently keyboard loop. It is flexible, and the contacts are made in the form of graphite deposition, which means that the cable is not intended for frequent overflow. Contacts are erased over time, because graphite crumbles. Be vigilant with this train!

There are a bunch of screws and ribbon cables under the keyboard that need to be removed as well. Sometimes there is a fastening of wires with masking tape. I can say that such a solution is a one-off solution - at the first disassembly, most of them fall off. Do not be afraid of this. Replace these pieces with tape or duct tape. It will not be worse. Don't forget to extract Wi-Fi adapter and modem microcard.

Image - DIY laptop repair Toshiba

Gently hook laptop cover around the perimeter. Under it we see the motherboard. We unscrew the cooler of the cooling system, disconnect the connectors and remove the board from the slots for the I / O ports.

Image - DIY laptop repair Toshiba

After removing the radiator, we clean it from accumulated dust and hair. The copper radiator can be rinsed in cold water and dried with a hair dryer.

Image - DIY laptop repair Toshiba

pay attention to wires from the power connector... Where they go to the motherboard from the bottom side, they are soldered. Do not try to tear them off or pull them out. It is better to pull the power connector itself out of the seat.

Also look at the plume taken out VGA connector (D-Sub). It must be pulled out of the connector by sliding the latches towards the cable.

We remove the board on the table and methodically unscrew all the screwsholding the cooling system. To be honest, I am a proponent of unscrewing these screws one turn at a time. Unscrew one screw one turn - go to the next and then in a circle. Near each screw there is a serial number in which you need to unscrew the screws.

Image - DIY laptop repair Toshiba

When the cooling radiator was removed, we erase old thermal grease and apply a new one. On the memory chips, as you can see, they have already removed the thermal pads and smeared with thermal paste. If there are no thermal pads, it is necessary to apply thermal paste in these places so that it covers a gap of about 1 mm to the radiator.

Image - DIY laptop repair Toshiba

Please note that the cooling fan of the Toshiba Satellite A200 operates on 5 V. This is a common solution in laptops. So don't test it by applying 12V to the connector. I did it by mistake - I had to buy a new one.

Image - DIY laptop repair Toshiba

After assembling in reverse order, I usually run stability test in the Aida64 program. In most cases, half an hour is enough to load and heat the machine to the maximum. If there is time, leave this test for 3 hours - the likelihood of a repeated malfunction in this case, in my opinion, will be less than 5%. CPU core temperature should not exceed 70 degrees Celsius.

If the temperature is in the range of 50-70 degrees, your cooling system works well. If the temperature is within 30-50 degrees, the cooling system is in excellent condition. Winchester temperature is normally between 30 and 45. If higher - something goes wrong - it is advisable to check the temperature through SMART... Sometimes in this program the temperature is determined incorrectly. It can show, for example, 120 degrees Celsius. If you see such a figure, it is better to use another program or a newer version of Aida64.

Toshiba notebooks are undoubtedly very convenient devices, practically not inferior in functionality to a stationary computer. Mobile gadgets today are an irreplaceable part of the lives of many people. Businessmen, students, office workers without a laptop - "like without hands." But, like many other equipment, Toshiba notebooks are not immune to breakdowns. For a person whose work or study directly depends on a computer, such a breakdown is a real disaster.

Toshiba's laptop is one of the most reliable devices, and breakdowns often occur only through the user's fault. Of course, if there was a software failure, the Windows system crashed, then the owner of the PC can fix the problem himself - just reinstall Windows. But if the hardware is faulty, the breakdown is not so easy to fix.

Very few Toshiba owners can independently perform hardware diagnostics and replace components with their own hands. As a rule, this can only be done by a qualified technician with special equipment. If your Toshiba laptop is broken, Compray Express can help you get it repaired.

We offer you the ultimate in toshiba laptop repair and upgrade options. No matter how difficult and serious the breakdown is, we will cope with it as soon as possible. We replace the battery, keyboard, connectors, repair screens (replacement of the display matrix). Our specialists perform even such complex component repairs as repairing video cards and motherboards.

We also carry out repair and replacement of backlight lamps, video cards, motherboards and much more. Entrust your computer to our specialists, and the result will not be long in coming.

You know that if the laptop you purchased has a factory malfunction and it does not work through no fault of yours, you can use the Toshiba Warranty Service Center. But even if the laptop malfunction is a defect made at the manufacturer's factory, in some cases, warranty centers may refuse to repair you. For example, if a Toshiba campaign device was illegally imported into the country.

In addition, the warranty does not cover laptops damaged by their owner. If you broke your laptop, dropped it into water, or simply poured it with tea, as a result of which there were problems, you cannot repair Toshiba's laptop for free at the manufacturer's warranty service center under warranty.

Of course, you can contact an official service center, but repairs will cost you a pretty penny. Even if warranty repair is possible, it usually takes a very long time - about a month. Of course, not many people can afford to go without a laptop for so long; it often happens that the owner pays money for urgent repairs, although the warranty is still valid.

If you do not want to pay a lot of money, or wait a long time for the completion of the repair, contact our Compray Express service center. If the components of your computer do not need to be replaced, we will make a quick and high-quality repair, which you will definitely be satisfied with.

You should never repeat a fairly common mistake: Many people, having noticed that the laptop has problems that do not greatly interfere with their work, postpone the trip to the service center. Contact the service center immediately without postponing matters. It is best to bring your laptop to the center. Of course, a specialist can come to your home for initial diagnostics and simple repairs, but the center will quickly perform full hardware diagnostics and carry out the necessary repairs.

Even if your Toshiba laptop has a minor, from your point of view, malfunction - for example, a flickering monitor, it is better to seek advice from a service center.

You may have noticed that laptops that are under warranty rarely break down. More often, malfunctions appear in older models, which are no longer covered by warranty repairs. And it is often more expensive to fix a car at the manufacturer's service centers than to buy a new one. It is best for you to contact our company for such repairs.

Repairing a Toshiba laptop is often more profitable than buying a new device, unless, of course, the damage is massive. All laptop parts: display, keyboard, video card, motherboard, drive, etc. replaceable. Replacing individual parts is, of course, many times more profitable than buying a new computer. But it cannot be denied that there are times when it is better to buy a new laptop.

To ensure that all the parts of your laptop serve for a long time, follow the basic rules for caring for the device. The monitor requires special care. The screen must be cleaned only with special means designed for this, otherwise you yourself can harm it. But what about internal pollution?

Like any other computer, Toshiba laptop requires periodic (at least 1 time per year) cleaning of the cooling system from dust. If you do not do this, then the cooler and radiator become clogged with dust, the heat sink becomes difficult and the laptop overheats. As a result of overheating, internal components fail, and then expensive repairs may be required, for example, the south or north bridge on the motherboard, video card, etc.

The computer foreman of our center will easily carry out such a cleaning at your home, while the exit is free. You can also get preventive cleaning and replacement of thermal paste at the service center.

Here is a table with prices for repair and cleaning of Toshiba laptops. If you want to find out how much other work costs, then see the entire price list or call the specialist on duty.
