This is inconvenient if you also use the mop as a steam cleaner. It is convenient to take a jar of water with you, after the container is empty, wait for the mop to cool, and only then top up.

The longer the cord, the more convenient it is to clean, because if you turned off the steam mop from the outlet, you need to wait until it cools down and reheats, you can lose up to half an hour of time. For a two-room apartment, 5 meters are enough, for a three-room apartment - 7 or more, immediately take care of extension cords.

The main application of the steam mop is for cleaning floors; for this, rectangular or triangular nozzles with special microfiber rags are used. You can wash linoleum with a steam mop, but you cannot leave it in one place for more than 1 minute, otherwise the surface from prolonged contact with steam will lose color and become whitish. Such spots on linoleum will definitely not look.

Laminate flooring can only be steam washed if it is waterproof and the seams and locks are protected with a sealant, but even then, you should choose the gentlest setting. It is better to use a steam mop only to clean the laminate flooring, so it will last longer.

The parquet floor can be steam washed once, only gently and when absolutely necessary. From constant use, the varnish will become dull white, and the joints will darken. Beech or maple parquet flooring is deformed.

Carpets should be cleaned very carefully with a steam mop, it is best to check in a small area, as some high-synthetic carpets can deteriorate from contact with steam. In order to refresh the surface, remove odors and disinfect it, it is enough to spray it with steam. To clean the surface, you need to soften the dirt with steam, and then collect it together with moisture, not all models are capable of such cleaning.

The tile is perfectly cleaned with steam, especially in the joints. In case of heavy contamination after processing, it is necessary to additionally wipe it with a dry, clean cloth. In addition, fungus and yellow plaque can be easily removed from sinks, toilet bowls and bathtubs.

The steam will separate the dirt from the glass. But for effective cleaning of a really dirty surface, you need to either constantly rinse the microfiber cover or rinse off the dirt with an additional cloth together with the water, into which the steam turns. Otherwise, streaks will remain on the surface after drying.

A narrow jet of steam well pushes dirt out of narrow places, for example, a roller system of a wardrobe, which is difficult to clean, and the dust that accumulates there interferes with normal opening. If you put on an additional brush on a narrow nozzle, then even a very well-adhered plaque will lag behind. Batteries, stove, corners and crevices can be perfectly cleaned with steam using this nozzle.

Removing odors and freshening upholstered furniture with a steam mop can only be done easily if the upholstery material is not synthetic. For the first application, it is better to check the tissue reaction in a not very noticeable place. Remember that steam is water and upholstered furniture will have to be dried.

It will not work to steam everything in a row, frank synthetics will shrink, thick fabrics will only get wet from prolonged exposure.

But a thin blouse will freshen up after 5-10 seconds and will not have time to get wet. After thorough disinfection with steam, like after washing, soft toys need to be dried, but for plastic this is an excellent solution.

Vacuum the floor before cleaning;
