We remove the storage battery.
Fully open the heater radiator valve (move the upper switch of the heater control panel to the extreme right position).
We open the engine radiator valve and drain the liquid from the cooling system into a clean container with a capacity of at least 10 liters.
Use a flat screwdriver to loosen the hose clamp.
... and remove it from the upper pipe of the heater radiator.
We loosen the clamp of the lower hose.
Using the “10” wrench, unscrew the two nuts securing the radiator valve to the mudguard.
We remove it from the studs and remove the hose from the lower pipe of the heater radiator.
Remove the rubber sealing rings from both pipes of the heater radiator.
Remove the dashboard console (see. Removing the instrument panel console.
Remove the instrument panel (see. Removing the instrument panel) without disconnecting the fuse boxes and wiring harness from it (complete dismantling of the panel is not required). We lower the panel to the floor of the car.
Using the “10” wrench, weaken the tightening of the thrust retaining screw.
Pry off with a flat screwdriver and “snap off” the spring clip of the thrust shell.
We do the same with the lower flexible link of the drive.
Turning the drive mechanism, we disengage the upper rigid rod and put the drive mechanism aside.
Using the “10” key, unscrew the two nuts securing the heater to the air intake box (the second nut is located on the opposite side of the box).
Using a key or a “13” head, unscrew the nut of the upper heater mounting and remove the “mass” wire from the stud.
Using the “10” key, unscrew the bolt securing the heater distributor to the tunnel.
Disconnect the windshield heating ducts.
Holding the screws with a screwdriver or with a “10” wrench and an “8” wrench, unscrew 5 nuts.
... and remove the upper heater cover with a rubber gasket.
We take out the heater radiator from the grooves.
We assemble the heater in the reverse order. Before installing the old radiator, we recommend rinsing the inside and outside with a jet of water to remove dirt that impairs heat transfer.
