Do-it-yourself fuse repair toz 34

In detail: do-it-yourself fuse repair toz 34 from a real master for the site my.housecope.com.

This video shows how you can make the fuse lighter on the TOZ-34 gun on your own without going to the workshop.

Image - Do-it-yourself fuse repair toz 34

Hello, tell me, the problem is that when the cartridges in the chamber the gun is locked very tightly and you have to force the flag with your finger? And without cartridges, if you lock it with an effort, it rises as it should in the center.

Image - Do-it-yourself fuse repair toz 34

Before loading the cartridges, I usually insert the sleeves into the barrels and select them, and calibrate them that are tight.

Image - Do-it-yourself fuse repair toz 34

Dastin58 Thank you, I will drive the shells

Image - Do-it-yourself fuse repair toz 34

Everything is clear, the reason is in the cartridges.

Image - Do-it-yourself fuse repair toz 34

Dastin58 self-roll ammo I use

Image - Do-it-yourself fuse repair toz 34

There may be different sizes of chambers or grooves along the rim of the sleeve, try cartridges from a different manufacturer.

Image - Do-it-yourself fuse repair toz 34

I have a problem with accuracy per turn, after the first shot the gun gets on the safety

Image - Do-it-yourself fuse repair toz 34

Image - Do-it-yourself fuse repair toz 34

Try bending the fuse spring so that the fuse becomes tighter, usually you have to bend it a little per turn.

Image - Do-it-yourself fuse repair toz 34

Thanks for your reply, how much will it cost?

Image - Do-it-yourself fuse repair toz 34

Good afternoon, I return to the question, is it really possible to grind a fuse with a toz -34 button?

Hello, a friend on the TOZ-34 has very tight descents, especially the lower barrel, if it is possible to eliminate this, describe or show. Thanks in advance!

Image - Do-it-yourself fuse repair toz 34

Hello, maybe on my TOZ-34 I changed the whisper spring on the lower barrel, it was too tight, I had it in stock, the spare ones were weaker than my relatives. You can try to tighten the native spring with pliers so that it presses the sear with less effort. After the replacement, the trigger became very light on the upper barrel, I did not change it, it should be a little tighter. Under their own weight, the triggers work.

Image - Do-it-yourself fuse repair toz 34

Thank you for the video! Made mine even better!

Image - Do-it-yourself fuse repair toz 34

Hello, such a problem, the fuse button was lost without a flash toz-34 with a button, I can’t find it anywhere, there are only people like you, if you put a rod and a button, how can you put it?

About a year ago, I learned from a colleague about the guns of his father-in-law, confiscated due to the delay in the ROHI, stored in the district police department, which he is not averse to selling.Without thinking for a long time, I decided to pick up these cats in a poke, the pensioner even refused to take the money after completing the documents, but I still handed him an orange bill, in return for which I received IZH54 and TOZ-34 in condition 3.

But my story is not about how I took possession of the trunks, but about the childhood illness TOZA. Many TOZ-34 owners are aware of such a problem as a non-working fuse, at least I know of a few of them. The study of the mechanisms of the gun reveals the cause, sagging cockers, which do not cock the hammers, which in turn do not allow the safety to be turned on. As a rule, the right cocking mechanism is loosened more.

Several pictures with comments

in order to remove the cocking it is necessary to separate the trunks

unscrew the screw holding the bracket

unscrew the rear screw fastening the USM holding the bed

with a specially sharpened screwdriver (the sting must be very thin), unscrew the trigger fastening screw

The tip of the screwdriver should not be “very thin”, but one that matches the slots of the screws and the length of the slot.
Otherwise, you will destroy the screw head, because. a screwdriver with a cone-shaped (sharp sting) sharpening acts only on the edges of the slot.
This rule applies not only to gunsmiths, but also to watchmakers, medical technicians, and even accurate mechanics.

And yes, it would be better to knock out the pin by placing a block of hard wood, and not with a hammer. IMHO.

when the screws are out the bed is easily separated from the breech

the one that turns up under the arm, and the rivet turned up for me, carefully knock out the cocking pin, the main thing is that what turns up under the arm is smaller in diameter than the pin

unscrew the two screws securing the front plate (xs as it is called in science)
here it is very important that the screwdriver is securely hooked into the slots of the screw. burrs will further interfere with the opening and closing of the barrels, well, it is better to divide the bolts into right and left ones, they are adjusted in place during the manufacture of the gun

having unscrewed the screws carefully from the back, we push out this plate, it holds the springs of the strikers, it is not advisable to lose them

this is what the plate looks like

and so the breech without this plate

and the breeders themselves

I studied the disassembly of the mechanism on the TOLSTOV HUNTER video and for some reason he says in his video that the cockers need to be straightened, it’s the other way around for me, I bent them

this is what cocked (closer to you) and uncocked triggers look like.

Topic: Toz - 34EP When fired, the fuse moves to the 'constipation' position. - Malfunctions, repair, maintenance of weapons - All about weapons - Main section - Forums of the Open Club St. Petersburg Okhotnik

I myself have the same situation.
It manifests itself mainly when shooting at the stand, approximately after the series.
It was very disappointing at the spring shootings. Do not add, do not really shoot a doublet.
The reason has not been fully clarified, but it started after I shortened the screw connecting the upper and lower parts (sorry for the primitivism, there is no literature at hand), located (closed) under the trigger guard. I shortened it due to the opposite reason - when tightening (apparently the tree withered), it began to protrude more strongly, and prevented it from being put on the fuse. After sharpening drove the screw with a lerkoy. Now, from the recoil, after 20-25 shots, it begins to self-unwind about half a turn, and the gun gets up after the shot, it goes on the safety lock. Pull it up - it's okay. I tried to spit it out, but apparently not enough. Self-promotion decreased, but did not disappear.

I join the issue!
Can anyone come across such NOT nonsense and know the specific reason?

You will hear a lot more.

There are guns that are put on the safety automatically.
Before firing, you must remove the safety lock.

This is, by the way, the safety of the hunt.

Probably Sto meant that he had not heard of TOZ 34 with an automatic fuse. (Just my guess). I, too, have not seen such 34-ok.

2Terem: I don't think that the automatic fuse adds safety while hunting. According to the rules of conduct with weapons: When meeting with a person, the weapon must be UNLOADED! Therefore, a loaded weapon in the company is already a danger! And directly at the hot, it can interfere - for example, if necessary, quickly reload and fire a shot - the reflex of removing the fuse in the heat of excitement does not always work.

    DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY TOZ-34

    7.1.1. Disassemble the gun for cleaning and lubrication in the following sequence:

    a) put the safety button in the extreme forward position;
    b) release the triggers. To smoothly release the triggers with the barrels open, simultaneously press both triggers and slowly close the barrels and bring the locking lever to the axial position;
    c) turn the flag down to the stop, move the locking lever to the right and separate the barrels from the box with a rotational movement.
    Return the lock lever to its original position by pressing the front end of one of the cocking levers.

    7.1.2. If necessary, disassemble the gun in the following sequence:

    a) perform the above disassembly;
    b) unscrew screws 55 and 75, separate cheeks of forearm 53 and 56 from barrels;
    c) unscrew screw 37;
    d) turn trigger guard 38 approximately by 90° and unscrew screws 40 and 50.
    e) with light blows of the screwdriver handle on the lower plane of the box, remove the front end of the base 49 from the groove of the box
    f) separate the trigger mechanism and the box from the stock by light tapping.

    7.2.1. Assemble the gun in the reverse order:

    a) extend the ejector, and ejectors in the TOZ-34E gun, until it stops;
    b) align the annular guides of the barrels and boxes (Fig. 4);
    c) move the locking lever to the right and connect the box with the barrels with a rotational movement.

    Rice. 4. Scheme of assembly of trunks with a box

    After combining the barrels with the box, the flag automatically returns to its original position when the gun is subsequently opened;
    d) in case of a slight shortfall of the locking lever to the axial position, bring it by hand.

    7.3. Disassembly and assembly of the remaining gun assemblies is carried out in case of emergency and only in the gun shop.

    8. MAINTENANCE

    The longevity and trouble-free operation of a shotgun depend to a large extent on skillful and careful handling. The mechanisms of the gun must always be lubricated with a thin layer of gun grease.

    8.1.1. To prepare the gun for firing, remove grease from the outer surfaces of the gun and from the bores.

    8.1.2. The hunter must abide by the following rules:

    open the gun with smooth movements, holding the barrels with your hand;
    do not perform idle releases of the triggers; the gun should be stored only with the triggers lowered in order to avoid replanting the mainsprings;
    monitor the cleanliness and serviceability of all parts of the gun; prevent snow, earth, etc. from getting into the trunks;
    do not shoot from two barrels at the same time;
    do not use cartridges that are tight in the chamber: they require great effort when closing and opening the gun;
    ensure that the fixing screws are securely tightened.

    Inspect, clean and lubricate the gun immediately after shooting and later, when stored without use - at least once every three months.
    Clean the barrel bore and chamber with a bristle brush with an alkaline solution until powder deposits are completely removed.
    Remove lead deposits from the channels and chambers of the barrels with a brush made of thin steel or brass wire, liberally lubricated with gun grease.
    After cleaning, wipe the channels and chambers of the barrels dry and apply a thin layer of lubricant.
    Wipe wooden parts with a dry cloth.
    Failure to follow the instructions for cleaning, lubricating and storing the gun leads to corrosion damage to the surfaces of metal parts, including chrome ones.
    Guns in unsatisfactory condition due to improper care and storage are not accepted for warranty service.

    Image - Do-it-yourself fuse repair toz 34major_merkel : TOZ-34 minor repairs

    toz-34.
    probably one of the most capricious Soviet fractures mass-produced.
    So roughly point by point:

    1
    a common omission when replacing the butt, or trying to eliminate pitching:
    in connection with the mechanism divided into two parts (upper and lower), that is, the triggers and triggers are located on the lower detachable platform. and the drummers and cocking rods directly in the stock of the gun - it is necessary to carefully pay attention to the tightening of the rear screw for fastening the shoe. if the screw is not tightened, the right or both triggers will not be cocked;

    the elimination of the heave of the butt is best done with linings under the shank of the pad, while the longitudinal stroke (which occurs when the front surfaces of the “fork” of the butt are crushed) can be eliminated by smearing the ends with some kind of plastic glue until a sufficiently thick film appears (plexiglass diluted in dichloroethane to a mushy mass works well ).
    I would also recommend even on a new gun (not waiting until it cracks) to secure the attachment point of the butt with the block with a pin screw, as shown in the photo.

    (You can of course not so ugly. But it was Che). a small nuance: when installing the screw, its location must be carefully verified so that the cocked hammers do not touch it when assembled.

    2
    just in case, I will touch on disassembly (separation of trunks):
    on older models without a flag (photo 1, above), disassembly is carried out with the triggers released by pressing the front trigger and pulling it to the right until it stops (further than with a simple opening) of the upper lever, after which the barrels are directly “fractured”.
    on newer models, a special uncoupler flag has been introduced. when turning it down, the upper lever is also retracted to the stop and the trunks are separated.
    there is only one nuance in the assembly - you need to pay attention to the ejectors (extractors). were put forward.

    4
    I will slightly touch upon such a drawback as the mainsprings of a characteristic form. There is nothing to be done here, only replacement, or annealing, straightening and re-hardening (I can’t say anything here, I haven’t tried it myself).

    5
    as a plus, it is worth noting the removable breech plate, which slightly complicates the design of the gun, but makes it possible to eliminate barrel pitching during prolonged use. the whole business is to cut the lining out of thin foil and put it under the plate.

    I really had a big suspicion that sometimes already from the factory the guns come with a lining under the breech plate (if you failed the size when grinding), but it has not been proven, I didn’t have to hold a guaranteed new gun with a gasket in my hands, although with gaskets very similar to factory ones (made by cutting stamp) met.
    it would be worthwhile to praise the ejector scheme of the toz-34e. in my opinion, a reliable and fairly well-thought-out scheme, almost trouble-free, in comparison, for example, with the IZH-27e, where the ejectors often pop up and get lost, and the transmission levers (on the forearm), when the forearm is removed, are bent.
    adjustment of the ejectors (ejection force) is carried out by tightening the screws with a spring located under the forearm.

    Well, actually, lastly, again I would like to say and show disgusting.

    my work allows me to keep some approximate statistics, at least for the Perm region. so. the vast majority of barrel ruptures occur precisely on toz-34 guns.
    Naturally, I do not take into account old guns that are rusty and not fired under nitrous powder, where, as they say, “God himself ordered”.
    in this regard, I can only assume an initial error in the selection of steel or in heat treatment modes that do not provide the necessary margin of safety.

    PS This article is a summary of my personal experience in the repair of hunting weapons and was not written with the aim of denigrating the products of the Tula factory, but with the aim of helping gun owners to make minor repairs on their own.
    If you have objections or want to add something on the topic, write in comments, I will read it with pleasure or if I can answer questions.
    against use for any purpose with reference to me - I do not mind.

    Try bending the fuse spring so that the fuse becomes tighter, usually you have to bend it a little per turn.

    Good afternoon, I return to the question, is it really possible to grind a fuse with a toz -34 button?

    It’s easier to look for a ready-made one on Hansa.

    Dastin58 full engine button

    Safety button or all the way?

    Dastin58 thanks for the answer how much will it cost?

    Please tell me why you undermine in the area of the holes, do not solder on the safety spring itself? Maybe make it flatter?

    The safety spring is thin, it is better not to sharpen it.

    it was easier to sharpen with a drill or a drill

    before collection. cock the drummers with your thumb and you won’t have to pick anything with a screwdriver and press the strikers. then when you assemble it. attach the trunks and make a smooth descent.

    Try to knock on the other side, if it doesn't work, hit harder, nothing will break there.

    the spring is removed only in one of the positions of the mechanism, unfortunately I do not remember in which

    removed the spring without removing the lever, simply pressing it down in the area of \u200b\u200bthe lever with a flat screwdriver, the lever was released

    Hello, a friend on the TOZ-34 has very tight descents, especially the lower barrel, if it is possible to eliminate this, describe or show. Thanks in advance!

    Thank you for the video! Made mine even better!
