Remove the screws to detach the paper guide tray. Press the tab lightly and separate the tray.

The upper case can now be removed. Pull it up gently. It should detach freely from the bottom of the printer.

The absorber in this printer is full of waste ink. And the excess, which is not absorbed, began to flow out outside the printer.

DIY printer repair - what you can do at hometo save money on calling a master or sending a printing device to a service center? Not all problems can be solved on your own, but there are things that you can diagnose yourself. However, do not forget that a serious malfunction can be identified and corrected exclusively by the hands of a specialist with extensive experience and specialized tools for carrying out the corresponding work. Repair of printers by service center engineers YauzaOrgService guarantees high quality and speed of service delivery without overpayments. But what will it be possible to reveal at home?

• The most common cause of printer breakdown, whether Canon, HP, Epson, Oki, Samsung, Ricoh, Brother or Xerox, is to clean the machine irregularly. In simple words, it is dirt. It often leads to imbalance of the case, noise appears during operation, or paper picking stops. That is why it is recommended to clean the printing device at regular intervals and only when the equipment is off. But you need to know about the prohibition of the use of alcohol - for wiping we take only ordinary distilled water, a new sponge and cotton swabs.

• We check the correctness of operation: the printer must be plugged in, the tray is pushed in firmly to the very end, the sheet guides are set, the cartridges are correctly installed and there is no jam of foreign objects in the machine.

• Do not be afraid to inspect the inside of the equipment for paper debris or scraps, toner spills, plaster, sand, or water.

• Check the cartridge is full, if it has run out.

• If printer malfunctions are displayed as errors on the computer monitor, be sure to write down the code, number, or information on the screen for transmission to the wizard.

• Pay attention to the print quality of documents, whether there are additional streaks or spots, what color they are.

• Track the frequency of paper chewing.

• Listen for extraneous sounds, crackles, noises when printing.

Having considered all the above nuances, which often lead to the stoppage of the printer's functioning, you can speed up the process of correcting a malfunction, replace the repair procedure with preventive maintenance and save money on a specialist visit. Evaluation of the state of the equipment operability, the exact formulation of the problem and the listing of the problems that have appeared will allow the foreman to respond to the request as quickly as possible, since he will present the amount of work in advance. If this is not a serious breakdown and the situation allows you to repair parts, replace components or restore work quickly - printer repair can be carried out even at the diagnostic stage. By calling the phone number or sending an application through the website YauzaOrgService - assistance will be provided with the provision of a guarantee for all types of operations and services.

Let me tell you how to repair or restore your Epson L800 printer. if it prints poorly or stripes.

Typically, a printer or mfp epson dries up if left unused for a long time.

If these machines are idle for a long time, they begin to dry out the ink in the nozzles or nozzles.

What is the restoration of a dried Epson L800 printer is an attempt to dissolve the dried ink.

This printer was brought to me for repair after three months of inactivity, it printed only red out of six colors normally. There was no black and yellow at all.

The restoration of the previous six color printers Epson P50, T50, R270 is done in the same way.

Let's get down to recovery. If you are sure that the printer is dry, go straight to the third point.

First, we print a nozzle test.
If the printer is connected to a computer, you can print through it.
If not, turn off the printer.
Then press and hold the button with the paper icon, turn on the printer.

And after the power button blinks twice, release the right button.
The printer will print a nozzle test on which we can see which nozzles are not printing.
Below is an example of two tests with partially dried nozzles.

Now we are cleaning the print head.
We hold the button with a droplet for 3-5 seconds.

After cleaning, which takes about 1-2 minutes, let the printer stand for about 15 minutes.
After that, we print the test again.
We compare test 1 and test 2 if there are no special improvements, then go to step 3.
If there are many new nozzles, you can repeat step 2 1-2 more times.
If after that the Epson printer still prints poorly, let's move on.

Now we know for sure that your printer is dry and regular cleaning will not help it.
For recovery, we need a flushing fluid.
If it is not there, we take water, preferably distilled, but any other is possible, only the purer the water, the better.
A little glass cleaner can be added to this water.
In which there is a surfactant. At the first stage, you can try with water for 1-2 days, then add 5-10% wiper.
If nothing helps, then you can try pouring in a clean cleaner.
Here are the detailed instructions: How to make flushing fluid for EPSON printers.

We are starting to restore everything.
Open the printer cover, move the head to the right.

Then we look inside the printer and on the left in the corner we see a white gear.
With a diameter of about 5 cm, you need to turn it a little towards yourself.

After that, we carefully try to move the print head to the left.

If this fails, repeat this step again.

When the head has moved away from its parking space, we see a parking lot with you.
In the center of it there is a multi-colored foam rubber, and along the edges there is a rubber seal.

When the head is parked, this mechanism is pressed against the head, resulting in a closed system without air access.
On this foam rubber we need to pour our rinse with a hill.
This is approximately 1-2 ml.
Here is a view of it with flushing.

After we have poured the flushing, we push our head all the way to the right.
And leave the printer to soak.

We are waiting further.

  • How long to wait is up to you, you can do a cleaning in an hour and then test the nozzles.
Or you can wait a day.
The first method is faster, but you will spend more time cleaning and doing more.
More ink will go into the diaper of the device during cleaning, and this is about 0.2-0.3 ml of each color for cleaning.
How long your ink will last, consider for yourself.
The second method is longer in time, but less resource-intensive.
  • In my case, I did the cleaning after 24 hours.
After that, I printed a test and saw that yellow and blue colors appeared.
And again filled the printer for 24 hours.
  • In my case, the printer sealed normally on the fourth day.

Sometimes even one day is enough.
And sometimes you have to disassemble the Epson printer, remove the print head, and push it through the fittings under pressure.

All in this, not tricky way, you can restore the Epson printer yourself, with your own hands.

If something incomprehensible remains from my story, see below the video instruction on how to restore the print head of the EPSON L800 printer.

Image - DIY l800 printer repairEpson Stylus Photo T50 Is an excellent photo printer. Nobody will argue with this. And this is not my first printer. But almost all of them, after a while, have an unpleasant hitch - the printer stops picking up paper.

Moreover, it does not happen all of a sudden. This process is gradual. First, you notice that the printer suddenly grabbed two sheets at once or, on the contrary, could not take a single one. It seems to you an accident, but after a while everything repeats again. And now your printer has become disabled - it completely stops gripping sheets, unless you push them with your hand.

Does this sound familiar? Even if you have a completely different brand of Epson printer, this article is for you. Let's bring the printer back to life!

By the way, I quickly got a problem with paper grabbing on Epson 1410. I started looking for information on the forums and was horrified - it turns out that this is a problem for many users of printers of this brand! It seems that Epson specialists did everything to prevent their machines from working for a long time. A joke, of course, but with a great deal of truth.

So, in a nutshell, poor paper grip is caused by the lower pinch roller of the sheet pick-up mechanism. Do not be alarmed, there will be many understandable pictures further.

And since the capture mechanism is the same on all Epsons, I suspect that almost all printers and MFPs from Epson corporation can be cured in a similar way.

The honestly spent and "dead" Epson T50 has been collecting dust in my box for a long time. Using his example, I will show the principle of repairing the feed mechanism.

First, use a screwdriver to remove the paper feeder cover.

Then remove the top cover in the same way.

Now we turn off the upper part of the case. In the T50, it is fastened with 4 self-tapping screws. Two behind

... and two self-tapping screws in the front. One on the left, clearly visible. And the other is drowned and you won't find it right away.

With the top case removed, turn the back of the printer towards you. We will unscrew the paper feeder. It is fastened with three self-tapping screws.

Next, let's remove the white protective cover of the upper roller (I may not name the details correctly, but the photos should help you not to be mistaken). We unscrew the self-tapping screw.

Now gently pull the cover up and towards you. Be careful, it has very weak clips that attach it to the metal plate.

Now we can remove the feed mechanism itself. Pull it up and towards you using the same gentle but strong movements.

Remember that the gear mechanism will create resistance to you on the left, and wires are attached to the feeder on the right. Proceed carefully and with extreme caution.

Well, the feeder has been removed! Half the battle is done. Turn it over and use a screwdriver to remove the lower pinch roller from the mount. Remove the pressure spring first.

This is the source of our suffering!

This rough gray roller is the cause of poor paper grip. Its design is such that it rotates in only one direction. And in the opposite direction, it should stand firmly. So often, due to poor lubrication, the roller stops rotating in the right direction too. At best, it rotates with great difficulty. This is what we are going to fix now.

Remove the roller from the housing and remove the spring axle from it.

Remember that the roller cannot be positioned differently on the axle. Its “roughness” is directed strictly in one direction and this is what helps to grip the leaf. Do not confuse its position!

In fact, abundant lubrication of the axle can already solve our problem, but so that we do not have to disassemble the printer again soon, we will play it safe and remove a few turns from the spring, leaving only four. Fear not, this method has been tried and tested many times. The printer will be all right.

Be careful not to remove the vertical tail section of the spring that snaps into the roller housing. Smooth the bitten off edge of the spring with sandpaper so that its sharp tip does not cling to the axle.

It remains to put the spring in place, lubricate the axle well with thick grease and insert it into the roller. Make sure that the axle is in place and does not rotate in the housing.

I hear your question - what to use as a lubricant? Surely, service centers use a special lubricant for rubbing parts. I used regular lithol and the printer, fortunately, has been working great for many months. The main thing is that the grease is thick and not fluid.

Now try how the roller spins. In one direction, it should rotate easily, and in the other it should stop. If everything is so, then you did everything right.

Wipe both rollers thoroughly with rubbing alcohol and be careful not to touch them with dirty hands when reassembling.

Reassemble the printer in reverse order. When installing the feeder in the housing, make sure that all gears are in place.

It remains to tighten the necessary screws. Then replace the case, cover and everything else.

Let's check the printer in operation. If you did everything correctly, then the printer will take any paper gently and clearly. It will work quietly and smoothly.

This repair method has been tried by many people and has always helped solve the problem of poor paper grip. I have personally tried it on two printer models - Epson Stylus Photo T50 and Epson Stylus Photo 1410... And they all work great so far!

I think, with the proper ingenuity and accuracy, you can disassemble any printer or MFP from Epson and permanently save it from a bad paper grip.
