In detail: do-it-yourself l800 printer repair from a real master for the site my.housecope.com.
To get to the inside of the printer, you need to remove the top of the case. She just pulls off. Loosen the four fixing screws. They are marked in the photo.
After unscrewing the screws, you need to detach the paper guide tray. Lightly press the tab and separate the tray.
Now you can remove the top case. Gently pull it up. It should separate freely from the bottom of the printer.
The absorber in this printer is full of waste ink. And the excess that is not absorbed began to flow outside the printer.
Do-it-yourself printer repair - what can be done at hometo save on calling a wizard or sending a printing device to a service center? Not all problems can be solved on your own, but there are things that you can diagnose yourself. However, do not forget that a serious malfunction can only be identified and corrected by the hands of a specialist with extensive experience and a specialized tool for carrying out the relevant work. Repair of printers by service center engineers YauzaOrgService guarantees high quality and speed of service without overpayments. But what can be found at home?
• The most common cause of printer failure, whether Canon, HP, Epson, Oki, Samsung, Ricoh, Brother, or Xerox, is to clean the machine regularly. In simple terms, it's rubbish. Because of it, an unbalance of the case often occurs, noise appears during operation, or paper capture stops. That is why it is recommended to clean the printing device at regular intervals and only when the equipment is turned off. But you need to know about the prohibition of the use of alcohol - for wiping we take only ordinary distilled water, a new sponge and cotton swabs.

• We check the correct operation: the printer must be plugged in, the tray is firmly pushed in to the very end, the sheet guides are set, the cartridges are correctly installed and there is no jamming of foreign objects in the device.
• Don't be afraid to inspect the inside of the equipment for paper residue or torn pieces, toner spills, plaster, sand, or water.
• Check if the cartridge is empty.
• If printer malfunctions are displayed as errors on the computer monitor, be sure to write down the code, number, or information from the screen for transmission to the wizard.
• Pay attention to the print quality of your documents, whether there are additional streaks or spots, what color they are.
• Monitor the frequency of paper jams.
• Listen for extraneous sounds, crackles, noises when printing.
Having considered all the above nuances, which often lead to a stop in the operation of the printer, you can speed up the process of correcting the malfunction, replace the repair procedure with prevention and save money on the visit of a specialist. An assessment of the state of the equipment’s performance, an accurate statement of the problem and a listing of the problems that have appeared will allow the master to respond to the request as quickly as possible, since he will present the scope of work in advance. If this is not a serious breakdown and the situation allows you to repair parts, replace components or restore operation quickly - printer repair can be carried out at the diagnostic stage. By calling the phone number or sending a request through the website YauzaOrgService – assistance will be provided with a guarantee for all types of operations and services performed.
Let me tell you how to repair or restore the Epson L800 printer. if it prints poorly or streaks.
Usually Epson printers or MFPs dry out if they are not used for a long time.
If these devices stand idle for a long time, the ink in the nozzles or nozzles begins to dry up.
What is the recovery of a dried Epson L800 printer - this is an attempt to dissolve dried ink.
This printer was brought to me for repair after three months of inactivity, out of six colors it printed only red normally. There was no black and yellow at all.
The restoration of the previous six Epson P50, T50, R270 color printers is done according to the same scheme.
Let's start the recovery. If you are sure that the printer is dry, go straight to the third point.
First we print a nozzle test. If the printer is connected to a computer, you can print through it. If not, then turn off the printer. Next, press and hold the button with the paper icon, turn on the printer.
And after the power button blinks twice, release the right button. The printer will print a nozzle test, on which we will see which nozzles are not printing. Below is an example of two tests with partially dried nozzles.
Now let's clean the print head. Hold the button with a drop for 3-5 seconds.
After cleaning, which takes approximately 1-2 minutes, let the printer stand for 15 minutes. After that, we print the test again. Compare test 1 and test 2 if there are no special improvements, then go to step 3. If there are many new nozzles, then you can repeat step 2 1-2 more times. If after that the Epson printer still prints poorly, move on.
Now we know for sure that your printer has dried up and ordinary cleaning will not help it. For recovery, we need flushing fluid. If it is not there, we take water, preferably distilled, but any other is possible, only the purer the water, the better. You can add a little glass cleaner to this water. which contain surfactants. At the first stage, you can try water for 1-2 days, then add 5-10% glass cleaner. If nothing helps, then you can try to fill in a clean cleaner. Here is a detailed instruction: How to make flushing fluid for EPSON printers.
We're all about recovery. Open the printer cover, move your head to the right.
Then we look inside the printer and from the left in the corner we see a white gear. Approximately 5 cm in diameter, you need to turn it towards yourself a little.
After that, gently try to move the print head to the left.
If this fails, repeat this step again.
When the head has moved away from its parking space, we see the parking knot with you. In the center of it there is a multi-colored foam rubber, and at the edges there is a rubber seal.
When the head is parked, this mechanism is pressed against the head, resulting in a closed system without air access. It is on this foam rubber that we need to pour our washing with a pea. It's about 1-2 ml. Here is a view of it with washing.
After we have poured the washings, we move our head all the way to the right. And leave the printer to get wet.
Video (click to play).
We are waiting further.
It is up to you to decide how long to wait, you can already do a cleaning in an hour and then a nozzle test. And you can wait a day. The first method is faster, but you will spend more time cleaning and doing more of them. More ink will go into the diaper of the device during cleaning, and this is approximately 0.2-0.3 ml of each color for cleaning. How long your ink will last, consider for yourself. The second method is longer in time, but less resource-intensive.
In my case, I did a purging after 24 hours. After that, I printed a test and saw that yellow and blue appeared. And again flooded the printer for 24 hours.
In my case, the printer printed normally on the fourth day.
Sometimes one day is enough. And sometimes you have to disassemble the Epson printer, remove the print head, and push it through the nozzle under pressure.
Everything in this, not a tricky way, you can restore the Epson printer yourself, with your own hands.
If something incomprehensible remains from my story, then see the video below for instructions on how to restore the print head of the EPSON L800 printer.
Epson Stylus Photo T50 - A great photo printer. Nobody will argue with this. And I have this printer is not the first. But almost every one of them, after a while, has an unpleasant hitch - the printer stops capturing paper.
And, it doesn't happen all of a sudden. This process is gradual. First, you notice that the printer suddenly picked up two sheets at once, or, conversely, could not take a single one. It seems to you an accident, but after a while everything repeats again. And now your printer has become disabled - it completely stops grabbing sheets, unless you push them with your hand.
A familiar picture? Even if you have an Epson printer of a completely different brand, this article is for you. Let's bring the printer back to life!
By the way, I had a problem with paper capture quite quickly on Epson 1410. I began to look for information on the forums and was horrified - it turns out that this is a misfortune for many users of printers of this brand! It seems that Epson specialists have done everything so that their machines do not work for a long time. A joke, of course, but with a lot of truth.
So, in a nutshell, the bottom pinch roller of the sheet pickup mechanism is to blame for poor paper pickup. Do not be afraid, there will be many understandable pictures further.
And since the capture mechanism on all Epsons is the same, I suspect that almost all printers and MFPs from Epson Corporation can be cured in a similar way.
In my box, an honestly used and “dead” Epson T50 has been gathering dust for a long time. Using his example, I will show the principle of repairing the feed mechanism.
First, use a screwdriver to remove the paper feeder cover.
Then remove the top cover in the same way.
Now we turn off the upper part of the case. At T50, it is fastened with 4 self-tapping screws. Two in the back
. and two screws on the front. One on the left, clearly visible. And the other is drowned and you will not immediately find it.
After removing the top case, turn the back of the printer towards you. Let's turn off the paper feeder. It is fastened with three screws.
Next, remove the white protective cover of the upper roller (maybe I'm not naming the details correctly, but the photos should help you not to make a mistake). We unscrew the screw.
Now gently pull the shroud up and towards you. Be careful, it has very weak clamps with which it is attached to the metal plate.
Now we can remove the feed mechanism itself. With the same careful, but strong movements, pull it up and towards you.
Remember that the gear mechanism will create resistance for you on the left, and wires are attached to the feeder on the right. Proceed carefully and with extreme caution.
Well, the feeder is out! Half done. Turn it over and use a screwdriver to remove the lower pressure roller from the mount. First remove the clamping spring.
This is the source of our suffering!
This rough gray roller is the cause of poor paper pickup. Its design is such that it rotates only in one direction. And in the opposite should stand tightly. So often, due to poor lubrication, the roller stops rotating in the right direction too. At best, it rotates with great difficulty. This is what we are going to fix now.
Remove the roller from the housing and remove the axle with the spring from it.
Remember that the roller cannot be put on the axle in any other way. Its “roughness” is directed strictly in one direction and this is what helps to capture the sheet. Do not confuse his position!
In fact, abundant lubrication of the axis can already solve our problem. But so that we do not have to disassemble the printer again soon, we will insure ourselves and remove several turns from the spring, leaving only four. Do not be afraid, this method has been tested many times. The printer will be fine.
Be careful not to remove the part of the spring with a vertical tail that is fixed in the roller housing. Smooth the bitten off edge of the spring with sandpaper so that its sharp tip does not cling to the axis.
It remains to put the spring in place, lubricate the axle with a good thick grease and insert it inside the roller. Make sure that the axle is in place and does not rotate in the housing.
I hear your question - what to use as a lubricant? Surely in service centers they use a special lubricant for rubbing parts. I used the usual lithol and the printer, fortunately, has been working fine for many months. The main thing is that the lubricant is thick, not fluid.
Now try how the roller rotates. In one direction it should rotate easily, and in the other it should stop. If everything is so, then you did everything right.
Wipe both rollers thoroughly clean with alcohol and try not to touch them with dirty hands during assembly.
Assemble the printer in reverse order. When installing the feeder into the housing, make sure that all gears are in place.
It remains to tighten the necessary screws. Then reinstall the body, cover and everything else.
Let's check the printer in operation. If you did everything right, then the printer will take any paper gently and clearly. It will work quietly and smoothly.
This repair method has been tried by many people and has always helped to solve the problem of poor paper pickup. I personally tried it on two printer models - Epson Stylus Photo T50 and Epson Stylus Photo 1410. And they all work great so far!
I think, with due ingenuity and accuracy, you can disassemble any Epson printer or MFP and permanently save it from poor paper grip.

to get started, check out the power supply circuit, which produces only 42V. And also look through the service manual, a very entertaining thing.

Open your printer and look at the board. Now, according to the power supply, or rather, according to the control signal, there is no desire to tell what happens to the signal when the printer is printing, when the printer is sleeping, and when it is off. If you want, take a tester in your hands and measure if you wish.

My L800 also turned on after washing, turned off and that's it. Doesn't turn on anymore! I thought that before burned, dismantled before the whole. I don’t know how to check these transjuks (I came across this post). There is no controller on the board, which is described here. From the power supply comes (measured from the middle to the extreme) 42.5, but on the other hand 41.4. This is normal. Tell me how to check tranzyuki, what indicators should be on them.
Thanks in advance to all who respond!

There was an opportunity to shoot a video on disassembling the Epson L800 printer. It turned out, as always, a fairly detailed video instruction for disassembling the Epson L800 and its older brothers, such as Epson T50, P50, R290, R295.
Perhaps someone will notice that the disassembly of the printer was carried out not quite into atoms, but at that moment there was no need for this. The printer turned out to be slightly flooded with ink from a diaper, which was overflowing due to an inattentive owner. As a result, after disassembling, the printer became ready for washing, most likely it will be useful for many and do not forget to drain the waste ink into an external container, which I will talk about another time, in another post.

Hello dear pickers! Straight to the point. I'm telling you a hack. I chose this particular printer model, since it is the most popular now for printing photos at home and with IP workers in small salons.
Google says the picture is from IXBT.
Honest repairmen will understand me, and dishonest ones go through the woods.
To the point - your printer began to give out some kind of game, such as replacing colors in places or when testing nozzles (ladder), not all nozzles are printed. Do not rush to drag it to the service. First of all, download the PrinHelp program (free version) and do a nozzle test. If some nozzles are not printed on the ladder, you do not need to clean it right away. To begin with, we look at what we have with the so-called diaper (Button “Read waste counters”) (absorber for absorbing waste ink), whether it is overfilled. Further, if the percentage of filling the diaper does not go off scale, it is already possible to start cleaning.
Let's get to the point of what this post is for.
Open the printer cover. Turn it on or off (depending on whether it is on) and while the carriage is moving, cut off the power cord so that the carriage remains in a free position. Like this:
Next, unscrew one screw that holds the top cover covering the dampers (this is what is instead of cartridges in the L series models). We remove the cover to the side and the dampers themselves will open. To click them out, you need to pick them up with something bent from the top to the back (relative to the position of the printer):
Next, take out the damper and see if it is completely filled with ink.
In our case, the damper is almost full, but there is an air bubble that needs to be pumped out. We do this, we take an ordinary syringe without a needle and insert it into the lower hole of the damper (there is no other)) and pump out the air until the damper is completely filled with ink.
NB! Before doing this, check that the tap on the ink tanks is open (up position). It is not available on the L805 model.
We go through the pumping procedure for all six dampers and put them in place. See that the gray ink plumes lie flat.
We collect everything that is unscrewed. We put the carriage with our hands in the extreme right position (parking), close the lid. We turn on the printer and do a cleaning in the printhelp, I do technological pumping in general, but I don’t feel sorry for the ink, because during it the printer drains up to 10 ml of ink in general from all colors. Next, let the printer stand for about 5 minutes. And try to print a nozzle test. In most cases, this helps to avoid spending on service and washing the print head for 1500-2000 rubles, or even more.
P.S. Do not do more than 2 cleanings in a row - you will get a quick overflow of the absorber, waste ink, or overheating of the print head.
I really hope that the article is useful to someone. All the best!

A few words about the features of the repair and configuration of Epson L800, L200, L210 printers, which are equipped with a proprietary CISS (continuous ink supply system).
An Epson L800 came in for repair with a head cleaning task, the printer was leaking.
Before checking the printer and its head, you need to check the ink buffer chambers for settling air, which are indicated by an arrow in the figure. These chambers must be filled with ink or air will enter the head.
After that, you need to check the patency of the ink supply tubes. If they are clogged, you need to pump them.
When pumping the yellow chamber with ink, air was pumped into the system.
After disassembling the block of ink tanks, a hole was found in the ink supply tube, which was the fault of air sucking in, airing the head, drying it out and leaking ink.
The tube has been repaired by inserting an adapter.
After that, the head was removed, soaked in a cleaning solution, cleaned and installed in place.
After installation, the head should be pumped. To pump the nozzles, it is better to open the filler valves and lift the ink block. In principle, the worse the head and check valves, the better you need to monitor the level of ink, which should be at the level of the head, not lower. If there are no spilled drops during printing, you can not cover them at all.
The price for repairing the tube is 1000 rubles.
The cost of cleaning the Epson A4 6-color print head with CISS is 2500 rubles.
Another Epson L800 printer did not print very poorly in one color even after cleaning the head. The condition of the nozzles of this color was excellent, but the printer printed with this color worse after each cleaning.
The problem was a faulty damper.
Color appeared only after replacing the damper.
I went to repair Epson L800, which printed blank sheets - the printing went on, but the sheet remained perfectly clean, there was no printing in any color.
After removing the head, damage to the loops was found - the contacts were burned. The head was checked, the ink went through the nozzles.
This happens when liquid, usually ink, gets into the head connector. The head tube was removed and replaced with a new one.
However, even after replacing the cable, the Epson L800 printer continued to drive blank sheets.
Repair or replacement of the head cable - 2000 rubles.
This happens if the decoder on the motherboard burned out. The format board is located on the left rear corner of the printer.
We remove the formatter and replace it with a new one.
After replacing the formatting board, the printer began to print fine.
The price of replacing the main board (formatter) Epson L800 is 4000 rubles.
When replacing the main board, you need to be sure that the head is working, otherwise the board may burn out.
