how did he manage to crash, did he get under the press? there is also an elastic band T11-3401014BB. maybe, of course, the diameter of the rail itself is the same as BB, but the salenblock is almost the same as on the TRV rail

So which one? T11-3401012 does not fit this rail.

I measured it - it offers a T11-3401012 silent block according to my size, I already bought one and now it hangs there.
When the master put it on (unfortunately I was not present at that moment) he said that the landing nest was broken, since the silent block went into it quite easily. At the same time, I drove this silent block for almost a year and there were no problems with the steering. Perhaps the nest was normal, and the silent block is thin.
As it turns out now, the silent blocks from different rails (with and without the BB index) are different.
They write on the forum that the difference is almost 5 mm, however, my rail is with the BB index, and the dimensions of the native silent block are like those of the rail without the BB index. Some kind of fig. Image - Do-it-yourself Cherry Tiggo steering rack repair

PS. A big request to the owners of the Tig with a steering rack without a BB index in the room: Measure the diameter of the steering rack closer to the place where the clamp is attached to the steering rack.
My rail with the BB index turned out to be 50 mm.
If another rail has the same thickness, then perhaps a clamp without an index will fit a rail with an index, because visually they are no different.

The steering gear is removed for repair or replacement. However, keep in mind that the steering mechanism is the most important element in ensuring traffic safety. Low-quality repair of the mechanism can lead to serious consequences, therefore, if necessary, repair it only in a specialized workshop or replace it with a new one.
You will need: wrenches "for 8", "for 13" and "for 19", a socket head "for 15", a screwdriver with a flat blade.

When your car becomes unresponsive to the steering wheel or makes strange noises while in use, you need to find out what the problem is. Most often it is in the steering rack. The mechanism is located inside the car, so visually its malfunctions are difficult to see. To find the problem and fix it, you should contact the service station that repairs and replaces this unit.

"Cherry" is haunted by standard problems found in other cars of this node. You can climb into the car yourself and look for damage. Having found out the possible cause, buy spare parts and a repair kit, try to fix the problem. But do you need to get dirty in lubricants when you overhaul your car?

You can identify steering rack problems in Cherry Tiggo by the following signs:

When you leave your Image - Do-it-yourself Cherry Tiggo steering rack repair

the car in the service station, the masters will carry out diagnostics to find the node with a malfunction. To do this, they will check the backlash, inspect the components of the car. Having found the cause, they will remove the rail from the car and proceed with disassembly and repair.

First, the harnesses are removed from the rail, then the anthers are pulled together. After draining the liquid, unscrew the hinges. After that, the rods are removed from the rail. Next, unscrew the nut pressing the shaft with teeth, remove them. Then the retaining ring is removed from the distributor, the spool nut is unscrewed. After that, the back support is removed. Now you can take out the distributor. After that, the stem is pulled out, and the stuffing box can be removed. To remove the left stem seal, you need a special puller. After completing the analysis, serviceable parts are washed from the remains of contaminated oil with exhaustion, sand and dirt. Parts must be degreased before assembly. Then they are assembled with already serviceable spare parts.

Parts are lubricated before assembly Image - Do-it-yourself Cherry Tiggo steering rack repair

lubricating substances. First, the stem comb is lubricated. Install a new stuffing box on the stem and insert the rail.Next, apply lubricant to the teeth of the distributor worm. Install the distributor back into the rail housing. The bearing is pressed with a mandrel. Then the stuffing box is lubricated and pressed into the body. Put on the retaining ring, press it in. Fill with grease and install the clamping piston. Lubricant is again applied to the pressure piston and a spring is placed on it. Then lubricate the spring with the stem clamp nut, which is tightened. Next, tighten the spool nut. Then the spool plug is filled with grease and put in place. Check the smooth operation of the assembled part of the rail. A new centering sleeve is placed in the butt plate. Then put a sealing ring on it. In a special vice, the stuffing box is pressed into the back. The prepared rear support is installed in the steering rack and screwed. When the assembly is completed, the rail is checked for smooth operation and the absence of leaks, and the force from which it is put into operation is also checked.

During the assembly process, the staff of our service station lubricates all rail connections so that the assembly is easier, the parts do not succumb to corrosion and have more mileage.

A large number of Image - Do-it-yourself Cherry Tiggo steering rack repair

Lubricants are very important for rails. Indeed, in its design there are small, but very important details. If they are damaged by corrosion, then they will do their job worse, or they will break completely due to their weakness under the influence of previous loads.

Passing scheduled maintenance every six months should save you from unforeseen problems with the car. At our service station, qualified specialists carry out diagnostics and repair of steering racks.

Replacing the rail will be needed if many of its parts have a lot of wear and there are no adjustments to remove the play. It is more expedient and cheaper to change it to a new one already assembled than to replace all its components and pay for additional work to the craftsmen.

I'll start with the topic of the steering rack, because. I began to notice a knock when driving through small bumps, and the suspension diagnostics indicated a backlash in the rail. I did not find a clear instruction on how to adjust the rail (the officials generally said that the rail is not adjustable), so I decided to do it by typing ...
So:

1. Adjustment is made from the bottom of the car, we drive into a pit, overpass or onto a lift, put the steering wheel in a straight position and climb under the car.
2. We see an adjusting screw and a lock nut on the side of the rail

3. It is necessary to loosen the lock nut, for this I searched for a key for 41 for a long time (I found it with my father-in-law, he kept it from Soviet times), the key had to be cut in the middle, because he hit the bottom

Image - Do-it-yourself Cherry Tiggo steering rack repair

Image - Do-it-yourself Cherry Tiggo steering rack repair

4. We tighten the adjusting screw with a hexagon by 24, I didn’t find it, so I took a bolt, screwed 2 nuts on it and pulled them off, I got a hexagon

5. It is necessary to check by a slight turn of the steering wheel to the left and right whether there is a knock from the rack, if not, you need to check in motion so that the steering wheel returns after turning, if the steering wheel sticks, loosen the adjusting screw, when everything is set, tighten the lock nut.

Good afternoon. I unscrewed all the mounting bolts on the rail, the pressure hose, the cross. How to take it out from under the car, there is protection there, but as I understand it, the engine is attached to it, that is, do not unscrew it?

First you need to drain the power steering fluid. To do this, hang the wheels of the car so that they do not touch the ground and disconnect the steering oil return hose from the fluid reservoir. Then place the hose in a container with drained liquid. Starting the engine at idle, turn the steering wheel left / right until it stops.

Next, you need to raise the car and remove the upper and lower steering rack covers. Loosen the high and low pressure hose connections. Then unscrew the left steering bolt. And then the right one. By unscrewing the bolt that connects the right and left tie rods and the steering knuckle, you can remove the steering rack.

Demonstration of do-it-yourself work on replacing steering rods and tips in a Chery Tiggo car (Cherry Tiggo). This repair is best done with an assistant holding the steering wheel while you remove the bolts. Also, a universal puller for ball and steering tips is used in the work:
