The anther protection cap was peeled off from the body of the clamping nut and the anther itself fell out. The guide slots are clogged with grass and earth. Soaking and turning the bobbin by hand does not help ...
In the shops of the city there is no such small and necessary spare part. There is a carrying head assembly AutoCut C 5-2 for 900 rubles. The price is outrageous…
I really wanted to save money.
— Let's think, the brain of the designer! What are the options? I asked myself this morning.
The first repair project is to solder a new nylon or plastic extension cap.
He took a strip of sheet metal, clamped it in a yew and heated it with the flame of a gas burner. Then he attached both sides at the same time both the part of the head of the lawn mower and a thick plastic washer. After 2 seconds, squeezed them together and let them cool. Not soldered ... Some kind of cunning American plastic turned out to be. It is not combined with our polyethylene, polystyrene, polycarbonate.
He retreated to his previous positions and again carefully studied the pressure mechanism. Found a gap sufficient for the second repair project.
From an old wind instrument, I cut off a piece of brass tube 25 mm long with an internal diameter of 27 mm. With the help of emery and a file, I cleaned the ends.
Then, with light blows of a hammer, he pressed the tube onto the plastic housing of the pressure mechanism bushing.
From a birch stick, I cut a cork 10 mm long with an outer diameter of 27 mm. and also pressed it into a brass tube from above, all the way into the sleeve.
To fix the structure, I punched the tube in a circle around the plastic with a sharp core and pressed the edge against a wooden cork with a hammer.
To hold the native anther in the bobbin, it was necessary to clamp it in the lathe chuck and use a cutter to cut a groove under the retaining ring 1 mm deep and 2 mm wide.
I bent the retaining ring itself on a piece of a water pipe from a bicycle spoke and bit off the excess in place.
After simple repair work, I installed the head on the lawn mower, put on the boot, tucked in the fishing line and went out into the garden for testing. Everything is working! Properly! I clicked on the updated ledge - the fishing line lengthened. After mowing, the anther remained in place. Slotted surfaces are not clogged with grass and earth.
A successful solution was re-implemented over the next hour on a second worn wear head. Now I have a spare!
If you look carefully at the attached drawings, you can guess to carve a combined “tube plus plug” prosthesis from a bronze blank.
Or even with a protective boot cap. Then the groove with the retaining ring is not needed.

Well, a very useful article for owners of this tool or those who want to purchase it ...
Repairing the bobbin of a garden trimmer - for the owners of this tool - is a well-known sore subject, but here I dare to say that I have found a worthy solution to the problem ...
In previous articles, readers probably remember how we proposed to upgrade the trimmer coil by reinforcing the holes for the line output, but, as practice has shown, after a month or two, the coil itself either wears out or cracks and scatters (familiar?)
And then campaigns for this spare part begin in different bazaars - shops, and even if you are lucky to find an option suitable for your trimmer, it is not a fact that the new coil will last longer than the old one, while its price will be about half the cost of the trimmer itself ... (familiar?)
After going through all these dances, the idea began to ripen in my head to buy a good big coil from an adult “thoroughbred” trimmer (motor scythes) and fix it on the axis of my trimmer through a home-made adapter (such coils are simply screwed onto the threads on the axles of their trimmers ...).
But when choosing such a coil, I noticed in time that they all have left-hand threads, and my trimmer turns clockwise, in short, the idea failed ...
Meanwhile, the next creative attempts were ripening -
I remembered that I once saw Bosch's small trimer with a reel for one line tendril
and on the remnants of the old coil conducted a small experiment -
I mowed with such a device for several minutes, it was squinting normally, but the fishing line was frayed at the base (in the hole in the corner), and the corner itself kept “picking” the ground ...
It was here that the confusion gave out an engineering idea, and after half an hour from the garage I was already carrying this creation for testing -
In a nutshell - it is screwed with screws to the base of the old reel, two nuts are welded to the pipe with holes - one for the fishing line, the other is a counterweight, the nut for the fishing line is machined with a smooth chamfer (in other words - a hole for the fishing line in the form of a smooth funnel)
I charged first with such pieces of fishing line -
The result - I myself did not expect, everything mowed and without any vibrations.
Then I went even further, bought a 3mm fishing line for adult motos (faceted), you can’t tie knots on it, so I did this - we make holes in the tip with an awl and insert a small shoe stud -
After a month of testing, I can proudly say the following - I have not seen the best coil for a trimmer.
Firstly, it is simply not killed, with a “coil” you can crawl along the ground without any problems, any (random) stones do not care, (only sparks fly), and secondly, 500 Chinese watts with such a fishing line mow any grass.
Because of its thickness, the fishing line takes longer to nurse, I made such segments in advance, then I take a few pieces and go to mow, on average 3-4 pieces are enough for an hour of work.
A trimmer, be it gas or electric, is the only solution for cutting grass in hard-to-reach areas that a wheeled lawn mower can't handle. As a cutting tool in trimmers, metal knives or a special fishing line are used, which are tucked into the trimmer spool. But, unfortunately, trimmer heads become unusable over time during operation. Some malfunctions can be fixed by hand, while others require a complete replacement of the mowing head.
Mowing heads for trimmers come in a variety of designs, both simple and complex. The figure below shows semi-automatic trimmer head from Husqvarna lawn mowers (Huskvarna) disassembled.
This type of head is present in the configuration of most gas mowers and electric trimmers, such as Stihl (Calm), Patriot (Patriot), Champion (Champion), Bosch (Bosch), Huter (Huter) and others. The device of the mowing head is quite simple. It includes the following details:
mowing head base;
button for semi-automatic cord feed;
bobbin (reel) into which the fishing line is refueled;
spring;
eyes - through them the fishing line comes out;
trimmer head cover;
fishing line (cord).
There are also simpler trimmer heads, shown in the next photo.
All these nozzles do not allow you to change the length of the fishing line in semi-automatic mode (after pressing the button). If the cord breaks, you have to stop the mower and change it manually.
Users of electric trimmers and lawn mowers often face a problem with a semi-automatic mowing head. Coil failures can be as follows:
the line does not lengthen automatically;
cord spontaneously comes out of the coil.
If the fishing line does not lengthen when the trimmer coil button hits the ground lightly, then the reasons for this may be as follows.
Option 1 - there was a bite, i.e. clamping the cord between the turns . This problem usually occurs if the user wound the line on the spool unevenly, with the turns crossing, or wound it with insufficient tension. In the latter case, when the mowing head rotates at high speeds, under the influence of centrifugal force, the cord begins to tighten, as a result of which interturn clamping of the fishing line is possible. To fix the problem, you will have to disassemble the coil on the trimmer and rewind the cord correctly, that is, with even turns with good tension.
Option 2 - too short ends protrude from the head . The fishing line may not come out when it hits the ground if its ends sticking out of the head are not long enough (short). In this case, the centrifugal force is not enough to stretch the line. Therefore, it is required to stop the unit (turn off the engine or disconnect the electric trimmer from the mains) and pull out the fishing line manually, after pressing the button.
Option 3 - the line is soldered inside the mowing head . This causes the coil to stop and not spin when the button is pressed. Basically, this happens for several reasons: poor quality of the cord, overheating of the coil during prolonged operation of the unit, impact of the fishing line on hard objects.
In the first case, third-party cords can be made from low-quality and fusible materials that cannot withstand mechanical and thermal stress. Therefore, preference should be given to “branded” fishing lines.
But, if you nevertheless purchased a fishing line of unknown quality, and it often gets soldered during operation, then you can follow the example of some users who, after filling the cord into the spool, moisten it either silicone grease (from a can) or mineral oil. This procedure greatly reduces the likelihood of soldering between coils of fishing line.
Also, the fishing line can be soldered if, during mowing, it hits a hard object (stone, fence, dry branch, etc.). As a result of this, it stretches a little and is pulled back into the head at high speed. From friction, the cord heats up, and its turns stick together. The only thing that can be done to eliminate this malfunction is to open the trimmer coil and rewind the line.
There are situations when the trimmer user notices very fast line consumption . However, he never hit the button on the ground to lengthen the fishing line. The reason that the fishing line spontaneously lengthens, being cut off by a special knife on the casing of the device, can be no spring in the mowing head. Often novice users of mowers, when trying to charge the line into the reel, forget to install the pressure spring in the head, or completely lose it when the cover is opened, and in the future they are not even aware of its existence.
Also, the fishing line can be extended without using a button if the spring is weakened. If the check of the spring confirmed this fact, then several washers must be placed under it in order to strengthen its clamping properties.
Trimmer owners, mostly beginners, are confused, bordering on panic, when it becomes necessary to change the cutting tool or line in the reel. Very often, when trying to unscrew the mowing head, users simply render it unusable, not suspecting that it is unscrewed in the opposite direction. . To prevent this from happening if a tool needs to be replaced, it is recommended that you read the step-by-step instructions below.
Before threading the line into the spool, turn off the engine of the brushcutter or turn off the power to the electric trimmer to avoid injury that can result from accidentally starting the rotation of the cutting tool.
Unscrew the nozzle attached to gearbox shaft . To do this, the shaft must be fixed by aligning the holes on the washer and on the axle, and inserting a metal rod or screwdriver into them.
Unscrew the nozzle. You should know that the thread on the shaft is left-handed. Therefore, turn the trimmer coil to the right, that is, clockwise.
Disassemble the mowing head. Most often, the head cover is attached on clamps . To remove it, you will need to drown these latches into the body, squeezing the edges of the cover. If your trimmer has a semi-automatic mowing head that has a button on the bottom, then disassembling the nozzle must be done carefully, since you can lose the spring, which sometimes flies out when the cover is removed.
Cut off the required amount of fishing line. Usually its length is 5 meters. Use a cord of the same diameter as specified in the instructions for the tool. It is not recommended to exceed the maximum diameter of the fishing line, as this will lead to an increased load on the engine and higher gas mileage.
Find the middle of the piece of cord by folding it in half. You will have a loop.
Slotted inside the coil special grooves (may have holes).Insert a loop of fishing line into this groove.
Wind the line onto the spool by turning it counterclockwise. You need to fill the cord as evenly as possible, the turns should lie down without overlap and with good tension. When the winding is completed, leave the free ends of the fishing line about 20 cm long and fix them in the grooves located on the sides of the reel.
Assemble the mowing head. Before you finally assemble the nozzle, do not forget insert spring and washer (if it exists). Install the spool into the body, and thread the ends of the cord through the holes or eyes.
Put on the cover and fix it with latches.
Screw the nozzle back onto the gearbox shaft, also fixing it with a screwdriver. You will need to twist the trimmer coil to the left (counterclockwise).
There are a large number of trimmer heads (not automatic) on sale, which have a low price and good quality. But sometimes situations arise, for example, in the country, when the trim coil is broken and its repair is impossible, the store is far away, but it is necessary to mow. In this case, you can quickly, literally in a few minutes, make a simple trimmer nozzle for fixing fishing line from ordinary plywood 10-12 mm thick.
Take a piece of plywood or textolite and draw a circle on it with a diameter of about 14 cm.
Cut out the disc with a jigsaw or hacksaw.
Drill a hole in the center of the disc that matches the diameter of the gearbox shaft. Do not forget to put a washer on it before installing the disk on the shaft.
Small corners can be screwed along the edges of the disk or 1-2 holes can be made on opposite sides. They will serve to fill them with fishing line.
To fix the fishing line, several screws can be screwed into the plywood.
Such a homemade mowing nozzle is fixed on the shaft with a nut . It will not work to tighten or unscrew the nut without fixing the shaft. To replace the cord, it will be enough to release the screws, insert a piece of fishing line of the required length and press it again.
Also, a mowing nozzle for fixing fishing line on it can be made from a metal sheet. How to do this, you can understand from the following video.

An indispensable tool for a modern summer resident or owner of a private house is a lawn mower, which allows you to effectively and efficiently put the surrounding area in order. The period of active use of lawn mowers falls on late spring until October. Modern units are equipped with powerful and durable internal combustion engines, reinforced transmission and main components. Despite this, physical wear, manufacturing defects or improper operation lead to the failure of the trimmer. In order to repair the trimmer with your own hands, you must have at least basic knowledge in the field of technology and a little experience in repairing it.
The main unit of any gasoline tool is an internal combustion engine (ICE), which, through various methods, transmits torque to the executive body. In a modern lawn mower, an dural rod (pipe) is used as a transmission element between the motor and the trimmer head, inside which the drive shaft is located.
Thanks to the high-speed motor, the line speed can reach 13,000 rpm, depending on the braid manufacturer. In order to exclude mechanical and thermal damage to the gearbox, a special hole is provided in its body for introducing lubricant in the form of ointments. As a headset that makes it easier for the owner during long-term work, all models of lawn mowers are equipped with a strong shoulder strap.
Regardless of the manufacturer, almost every model comes with fishing line and steel knives.
The cross section of PVC trimmer line can vary from 1.5 to 3.0 mm.
Made of durable polymer, it is subjected to intense wear and tear during mowing.Therefore, from time to time it is necessary to check the presence of fishing line in the head and, if necessary, replace it. It is recommended to purchase an additional spool to quickly replace it with a spool with no line.
The ICE trimmers on the market today are equipped with a D-shaped, U-shaped or T-shaped handle, where the main controls of the unit are located. For example, in a U-handle scythe, the throttle key and stop/start toggle switch are located on the right handle. In the D-shaped version of the handle, the gas adjustment key is located directly on the bar.
Due to the presence of many components and parts, do-it-yourself trimmer repair involves the elimination of breakdowns that prevent its normal operation. It should be noted the most basic malfunctions of gasoline braids:
The trimmer motor does not gain momentum;
Breakage of the cylinder-piston group (CPG);
Ignition faults;
There is no connection between the internal combustion engine and the trimmer head;
Mechanical knocks during operation of the unit.
Repair of CPG lawn mowers
The main unit of any internal combustion engine is the cylinder-piston group (CPG), which can fail due to wear of parts or poor quality of the fuel mixture.
The lubrication of rubbing units in the lawn mower is carried out by adding a certain proportion of oil to gasoline. This process can be disturbed due to old oil precipitating out. In this situation, when starting the trimmer, the motor overheats greatly and the most expensive breakdown occurs in a matter of minutes. To eliminate the malfunction that has arisen, a complete replacement of the CPG will be required, namely: the piston, seals, cylinder and piston rings. If you are not an internal combustion engine repair master and do not have experience working with technicians, then it is unlikely that you will be able to fix the engine without the help of a specialist. Detailed information about the stages of repair of a piston trimmer can be found here.
When the ignition of the lawn mower fails, the spark on the candle disappears and, as a result, the fuel mixture does not ignite.
Spit spark plug design
It is important enough in this situation not to rush to replace the coil, since the cause of the breakdown may be the lack of contact in the switch on the control knob.
An important point when troubleshooting the ignition of the trimmer will be the diagnosis of the cut, where the distance between the side and central electrodes should be 0.5-0.7 mm. In addition, it is necessary to pay attention to the steel sealing ring on the candle, the loss of integrity or deformation of which can lead to etching of air from the combustion chamber and, as a result, a decrease in the power of the braid.
Ignition flywheel with coil
If the replacement check of the electrical circuit, the spark plug and its contacts did not give positive results, then you should pay attention to the trimmer ignition module, namely the gap with the flywheel. Regardless of the design features and the manufacturer of the lawn mower, the distance between the ignition coil and the flywheel should be no more and no less than 0.2 mm. To restore the optimal gap value, you will need to loosen the coil mounting bolts and set the trimmer ignition with a special measuring probe.
A clear sign of a malfunction in the engine power system is the absence of traces of the fuel mixture on the spark plug electrodes, which may be due to the following defects:
Components of the trimmer fuel system
due to a clogged hole in the gas tank, a vacuum is created that prevents the normal flow of gasoline into the carburetor;
due to the poor quality of the fuel and the ingress of foreign particles, the fuel filter installed in the tank is clogged;
not entering the mixture into the combustion chamber as a result of clogging of the carburetor.
You can quickly determine the cause of the malfunction by dismantling the fuel hose leading to the carburetor.If the fuel mixture flows out in a thin stream, then you should pay attention to the carburetor. If there is no jet, it is necessary to clean the breather (a small hole in the gas tank cap) with a thin needle or replace the fuel filter.
If fuel enters the carburetor, then it is necessary to clean or adjust it. Adjusting the trimmer carburetor involves restoring the optimum mixing of the fuel mixture.
Trimmer carburetor with adjustment screws
To do this, pay attention to the three adjusting screws: maximum speed (H), minimum (L) and idle speed (LA). To start the adjustment, it is necessary to fully tighten the screws H and L and loosen them by 1 turn each. After we start the braid and let it warm up for 10 minutes to adjust the power system in operating mode. After warming up the internal combustion engine, press the gas supply button all the way (12,000 rpm). We restore the idle mode by unscrewing the screw LA. As soon as the trimmer head begins to rotate, it is necessary to tighten the screw until it stops.
One of the frequent malfunctions of the lawn mower is the incorrect operation of the internal combustion engine, namely, a drop in power with an increase in speed (the scythe stalls).
The reason for this work is the clogging of the exhaust system with particles of burnt oil. Often, manufacturers make mufflers prefabricated and cleaning is quite simple. If the design of the spark arrester is non-separable, then it must be placed in water with detergents, and then dried with a conventional or industrial hair dryer. Frequent clogging of the exhaust system indicates non-compliance with the proportions of oil and gasoline.

Sheer crap .. It’s only good to cut the lawn .. But if you mow in a serious way, then you wave these knots to knit and change the fishing line, as it erases very quickly .. Show how you mow this stray at least close to the foundation, or next to concrete path..

Very well thought out, your video helped me solve the problem with the bobbin, and did not try to put a clamp inside the pipe to connect the wires and pass the fishing line through it and clamp it with a bolt or the bolt will be erased. Another thought is to pass the fishing line through the pipe and then wrap it around the pipe and push it a second time through, you get a loop with two ends of the fishing line. The 2nd option came out for me, but I haven’t tried it on a large area yet. If it suits, please comment

This is not my second year doing this. I also have a thick-walled fishing line, only I have nails in place. knot in the center. and I increased the line by removing the black skirt from the protective cover! Kosh twice as fast, maybe three times!

An electric scythe or trimmer, like any electric tool, has a limited service life. With an increase in the intensity of operation for various reasons, the life of the device decreases.
You should be prepared that at any time during operation, the electric scythe may break, but such situations can be avoided if you regularly disassemble, inspect and revise all important elements of the spit.
Malfunctions of electric scythes can be very diverse, it can be both a breakdown in the electrical part of the engine and wiring, and in the mechanical part.
In most cases, repairing a trimmer or braid is not difficult and you can do it on your own if you have a minimal tool and basic concepts in technology. Well, for the readers of the site elektt.blogspot.com, I will reveal the main malfunctions and secrets for quick and reliable repair of your electric scythes, consider the example of repairing Bosch and Gardener electric scythes.
The design of most electric braids is not a complex device, the main components, whether it be a trimmer or a braid, is an electric motor, a power wire, a button with a capacitor, a spool with fishing line that is attached to the motor shaft or more complex mechanical braid options where the torque from the engine is transmitted to the spool through flexible shaft, but this option is rare among electric braid options.
To identify faults in the electrical part, as a rule, inspection alone is not enough; you need a multimeter or at least a tester with a dial tone. Such malfunctions are characterized, as a rule, by the complete inoperability of the engine, severe overheating or jerky operation.
The test begins with the power cable; if it is damaged, it is either repaired or replaced. Express check involves checking the voltage of 220 volts at the engine contacts.
Voltage should appear when the button is pressed, if voltage is present, then we can safely say that the trimmer motor is faulty, it must be disconnected and carefully inspected. Slight contamination of the collector plates and brushes is normal, but it is still better to clean with a soft cloth moistened with alcohol, if worn brushes are clearly worn, it is better to replace them.
Using a multimeter in the resistance test mode (the smallest limit is Ohms), we touch the brush contacts or the graphite brushes themselves with the probes, the tester should show a resistance of no more than 100 Ohms.
If the resistance is infinite (one on the multimeter), then try turning the motor shaft without removing the probes. In a serviceable electric motor, the resistance wakes up to about 10 - 40 ohms, if the brushes do not ring, then there is no contact or the integrity of the stator windings is broken, a break or burnout is possible. If the resistance is less than 5 ohms, there is an interspecies short circuit, most likely caused by severe overheating of the engine.
To identify the specific cause of a motor malfunction when the motor brushes do not ring, you can resort to the following procedure. Graphite brushes must be pulled out by first sticking out the brass inserts or removing the pressure springs.
The collector motors in these devices are so arranged that the stator and rotor windings are connected in series, and in expensive models of electric motors, a thermal relay (110 degrees) is also connected to this serial circuit, such a relay keeps the power contact closed under normal conditions. A separate diagnostic method can be checking the resistance on the plates of the collector drum.
In order to identify the culprit of the malfunction, it is necessary to remove the insulation in the form of cambric from the fluoroplastic where the windings and the thermal relay are connected and ring each winding separately with a multimeter, as well as the thermal relay itself.
In electric scythes, the most loaded mechanical elements can be called bearings and a trimmer coil (spool). In most cases, the device stops cutting grass due to the failure of its line spool
The line is over. According to the instructions provided, wind the fishing line on the reel.
The line got tangled. If the reel is not damaged, then you need to cut or unwind the fishing line and, if necessary, rewind the entire spool.
The line slipped. Due to the rather intense work and high overheating, the plastic threads of the fishing line can fuse with each other. It is necessary to rewind the spool with new fishing line and inspect the damage to the spool itself.
The motor runs but the line spool does not rotate.Most likely there was damage to the structure of the reel with fishing line. The attachment points of the bottom of the coil can break off, you need to completely disassemble the bobbin and, if necessary, modify the attachment or completely replace it. In most electric trimmers, the bobbin is simply pressed with its plastic case onto the motor shaft, and in case of severe overheating, when the plastic melts, it can turn and fly off completely.
Both devices did not show any signs of life, the engines did not work when turned on.
The case of both devices consists of two halves, the screws are on one side, which is convenient for disassembly. After all the screws are unscrewed, the upper case is separated from the lower one by gently pressing a flat screwdriver into the slot to open the interlocked plastic locks.
After disassembly, we proceed to inspect the insides and troubleshoot.
During the inspection, it was found on the engine Bosch trimmer , on one of the brushes, which is fixed by a clamping spring, a copper conductive wire fell off, which naturally was the reason for the lack of voltage on the brushes and the engine did not rotate.
The wire was restored to its place, and along the way, the collector pads were cleaned, with a soft rag soaked in alcohol, to a copper sheen. The brushes were in good condition and did not need to be replaced.
It was also found that the switch does not create a reliable electrical contact, it was necessary to forcefully clamp the button, it was decided to disassemble the button, its contacts were cleaned from soot and lubricated with KONTAKT S-61 current-protective spray.
WITH electric scythe GARDENER it was not so simple, she lay for quite a long time in a broken state, and in the literal sense of the word “broken”, her rod at the place where the engine housing was attached was broken in half, apparently her operating conditions were so difficult.
With the help of perforated plates from metal profile mounts, a new fastening of the engine housing to the electric scythe bar was not cunningly made. The integrity of the structure has been restored, albeit not in an aesthetic but reliable way, because the main thing in an electric scythe is its functionality.
The motor shaft was noticeably hard to scroll, an internal inspection revealed burnt collector plates and worn brushes. The plates were sanded to a shine, and the brushes were replaced with new ones.
In view of the long operation without lubrication and subsequent storage of the device in an aggressive environment, the bearings were slightly stuck and the motor shaft rotated unnaturally with difficulty. Engine bearings were washed with WD-40 spray followed by lubrication. As a result, the engine began to rotate noticeably better, but still the bearings were already “broken” and when the engine was running from the network, the sound of its operation was not so smooth and monotonous.
Further inspection of the electrical part led to the button, it was completely broken from its fasteners, although it was pressed, but the tester showed its malfunction. The button is not collapsible so it was replaced with a new one. Fasteners had to be restored with hot glue.
In addition to the broken rod, there was a crack in the plastic protection, apparently someone did not drop it weakly. The scythe could work with her, but it was decided, as far as possible, to restore the protection structure.
Naturally, simply gluing such a loaded and impact-prone object with glue would not be a reliable solution. Therefore, using the same perforated plates from the metal profile, two brackets were made that created a “monolithic” connection of the two parts of the cracked body. The plates were connected to the body with aluminum rivets.
When the lawn mower was assembled, it was found that the rod at the attachment points of the handle was poorly fixed and rotated, so the places where the plastic protrusions of the handle body were pressed against the metal of the rod were additionally sealed with a strip of rag tape. Now the design has no extra backlash.
The reel (spool) has run out of line.In most spools, the mesh feed is semi-automatic, with a light hit of the spring-loaded button on the ground, the fishing line is fed to the exit. If the line does not feed, then you need to remove and disassemble the spool - spool and, if necessary, wind a new line.
The line may be too long due to the fact that the blade, which is recognized for cutting the excess along the length of the line, is blunt or does not exist at all. The length of the fishing line should be slightly less than the diameter of the protection.
A large rumble and vibration during engine operation may indicate that the bearings need lubrication or they have completely used up their resource. The body of the reel with fishing line (spool) may also be cracked, it, as well as the place of its attachment, must be inspected for cracks and damage.
Most electric motors in braids and trimmers are collector and do not have a speed controller, with a decrease in mains voltage, speed and power decrease. The spool of line may not be wound correctly. Perhaps the speed is hampered by the presence of a stuck twig or a rope is wound around the shaft, the structure should be inspected. In a working braid, the shaft should turn easily and without the slightest effort even after it has been dispersed with a finger.
Engine not turning? We look at the presence of power on the electric plug, if everything is in order, then the device needs to be disassembled. If no obvious damage is noticeable, then a serial continuity of the electrical circuits of the device begins.
Using a multimeter (tester), they first ring the power cord, the fuse if there is one, and the button. If the button does not ring in the on state, then it should be replaced or if it is collapsible, then open and clean the burnt contacts.
The cord may be broken, in which case the engine may start intermittently. An engine malfunction may be the fact that when the button is on, there is a voltage of 220 volts on the engine contacts, but it does not rotate.

Some electric motors are equipped with a thermal fuse that is built into the motor housing and has been triggered by overheating or simply failed. A serviceable thermal fuse should restore its operation when the engine cools down.
