Repair of pleated blinds will consist in replacing the cords with new ones and adjusting the tension during re-installation on the windows. In inclined and overhead models, there is a situation when metal support cables break, outwardly similar to ordinary cords. In this case, it is also possible to repair the pleats by replacing the cables with new ones. In general, we can say that this is the least difficult problem of all.

To repair the pleated blinds, you need to correctly measure the product, dismantle and hand over the broken blinds to us, after which disassembly, troubleshooting, rewinding of cords and replacement of fittings, if necessary, are carried out. Next, we hang the curtain on special equipment, pre-adjust it to the required dimensions and check the operability, then we can re-install it.

The third group of problems belongs to the category of "repair of electric pleated blinds". Here, specific problems are added to the above breakdowns - the remote control does not work, the signal receiver is faulty, the power supply has burned out, the curtains operation algorithm needs to be programmed, etc., up to the replacement of the electric drive. The main difficulty

lies in the fact that, as a rule, there is no documentation, with the help of which it is possible to draw conclusions about the connection method, the scheme of work and other features of the operation of the pleated blinds with an electric drive. two wooden planks of the same width;
glue;

Making pleated curtains at home, follow the instructions:

We take two wooden planks along the width of the window opening.
We fold the paper and iron it in small folds to the width of the bar.
We glue the upper edge of the paper web with glue to the strip, press and let dry. You can use double-sided tape to fix it.
Along the edge of the paper we make even holes with an awl or a needle and stretch the threads, securing them to the upper bar. If the curtain is too wide, you can pull the threads through every 40-50 cm of fabric.For high-quality fastening, it is necessary to make holes in the wooden planks, fixing the threads with knots from above and gluing them.
We calculate the height of the window and the straightened blinds. We cut the paper web according to the required parameters.
We glue the paper to the bar at the bottom and fix the threads in the same place.
Let the structure dry, and the pleated paper curtains are ready (Fig. 2).

There are several types of window curtain mounts. One of the most economical is buying adhesive hooks. After you pass the threads through both wooden planks, secure the knots and loop. large rulers;
strong threads;
glue;
awl;
buttons;

Preparing the paper. Its width should be the same as the width of the window, or you will have to make two curtains. The length of the paper should be twice the height of the window. After the piece of paper is prepared, one edge of it is glued to the ruler, and the paper is folded according to the accordion method. Having folded the entire roll, glue the second edge to another ruler. Fold the future curtain like an accordion, with two rulers at the top and bottom. Let the glue dry.

Then, with an awl, make two holes along the edges of the accordion, while piercing both the paper and the ruler.Pass a strong thread through the holes, making two loops at one end, and fasten the ends of the threads to the buttons at the other. The structure will be hung on the upper loops, and the buttons at the bottom will hold the curtain from below, preventing it from falling apart.

To make blinds from wallpaper as in the photo above, you will need:

A roll of paper wallpaper (only paper wallpapers are suitable, since vinyl and non-woven ones cannot gather in an accordion);
Auxiliary materials: scissors or stationery cutter, ruler, pencil;
Awl or hole punch (an awl is better);
Rope longer than the height of the window and 5-7 mm thick or a thin satin ribbon;
Retainer with end piece of a suitable color;
If desired, two more tapes of any width and length 2.5 times the height of the window. These ribbons are only needed for decoration;
Double-sided tape (or glue) and Velcro to match the wallpaper, if you want to make curtains with a "swag" around the edge.

If you want to make horizontal blinds without a swag, then you need to make through holes in two places, as shown in the picture on the right. And, of course, in this case you will need either two ropes or one long one.And to make the horizontal blinds more interesting, you can decorate them with ribbons, which, moreover, will hide the ropes and fix the curtains at the desired level. Of course, each accordion blank can be cut to width. But, as a rule, wallpapers of a standard width of 53-55 cm are quite suitable for a standard window. But if you need more blinds, then you can choose a wallpaper with a width of 1 m.

If you prefer ethnic or eco-style, then you can make paper blinds from newspapers, or rather from newspaper tubes. This method will require a little more time and effort from you, but such blinds will last longer.

To make blinds from newspaper tubes you will need:

For one window 1 m high, you need to prepare about 200 painted and dried newspaper tubes a little longer than the width of the window;
Auxiliary materials: scissors and PVA glue;
A coil of rope to match the tubes, for example, for blinds in an ethnic or eco-style, a twine made of jute or simply made of nylon is suitable;
Rings for curtains (2 pcs.);
If desired - a clamp with a limit switch in order to make a lifting mechanism.

We lay out the newspaper tubes in a row on the floor and align;
We begin to tie the tubes to each other: fold the long string in half, attach a ring to it for attaching to the window, tie one or two knots, then tie the first tube and make 1-2 knots in the same way, take the second and repeat the steps until all the tubes are will contact. Then we start tying the tubes from the opposite edge, but this can be done in parallel with the first row.

Now we need to align the edges of the blinds. To do this, mark the cutting line of newspaper twigs with a ruler (along the entire curtain) and carefully cut off the excess with scissors, moving from bottom to top.
And finally, we start to manufacture the lifting mechanism. To do this, you just need to tie one loop to the upper and lower edges of the curtain (in the middle), thread and fasten the rope to the lower loop from the back of the blinds, and then pull it into the upper loop. At the end of the rope, you need to put on a retainer with a stop, so that by pulling on the rope, you can easily raise the curtain by half and fix it in this position.

Boring "office" plastic, bamboo or wooden blinds can be updated and decorated with your own hands specifically for the color scheme and style of the interior of the room.

To decorate the blinds as in the photo above, you will need:

Wallpaper or any colored paper;
Plastic, wood or bamboo blinds;
PVA glue and brush;
Scissors;
Ruler, pencil.

We measure the width, length and number of lamellas;
On a roll of wallpaper, draw stripes in the same quantity and the same width and length as the lamellas;
Then we mark on the marking the places of the holes into which the ropes are threaded - here the strips will need to be cut into three parts so that in the future we can bypass these places in the process of pasting the lamellas;

We cut out the strips along the marked lines and, as already mentioned, we cut each strip into three parts.If you need to save a drawing or wallpaper pattern, then you need to cut the paper in a strict sequence, and in order not to get confused, you can make notes on the back side;
Finally, glue the paper strips onto the slats. It is not scary if the stripes do not lie quite evenly, as a result, the flaws will not be very noticeable.
