The voids formed as a result of the movement of the fur strip are filled with the use of additional fur or the fur of the cuffs, lapels or collar of the product.

Important! Mezdra shrinks under steam, so we glue the strip without steam, with a dry iron. First, try to do this on a cut off piece of fur.

If the mezra changes under the iron, then it is better to sweep the strip of non-woven fabric by hand.

Apply cotton tape from the side of the fur and sew with a narrow overcast on the overlock (you can manually over the edge or on a typewriter). Lay the line from the side of the braid.

Turn the bottom of the fur coat with braid inside out and pin. In the corners of the headbands, fold the corner so that the hem of the bottom does not peek out from the front side, that is, with an envelope. The width of the hem can vary from 1 to 4 cm depending on the style.

We hem the bottom, basting the braid. This is not easy to do, the mezdra is poorly pierced, so we take a short needle (it will not bend) and a thimble. We make the stitch so that it is shorter along the mezdra. So the stitches will not be visible from the front side.
Then manually sew up the corner at the selection. We comb the fur along the bottom, removing traces of stitches.

The cut off piece of the lining is ironed, if it does not fit, we take a new lining in color, cut out a strip 20 cm wide in the shape of the bottom.

Long sections of the lining must be ironed inside out.

We put the lining on the wrong side of the fur coat along the bottom, pin it over the braid.
At the headbands, we fill in short sections of the lining strip under the headband.

Sew the lining to the bottom of the braid with a blind stitch. At the same time, the mezdra is not captured, so it is not difficult to sew.

Sew the top edge of the lining strip to the fur coat. This work is more difficult, so we use a thimble. We take the threads to match the lining, so the stitches will not be so noticeable.

What is this lining for? Firstly, the mezdra is light, with a detachable lining it will not be visible from the bottom. Secondly, the lining strip will protect the core from wear and contamination.

Tuck the bottom of the lining twice so that it is shorter than the bottom of the fur coat by the width of the hem of the fur and iron.

Adjust the hem of the lining. The width of the hem is 3-4 cm. Any decorative stitch can be laid along the bottom of the lining.

Sew the ripped lining to the hem. There is also cotton tape, so the lining is sewn over the tape.

Here's what should happen. Only the lining is visible on the bottom. Mezdra is protected.

Grab the lining on the sides of the fur coat with long stitches with upholstery - breeches.

The nutria has a very moisture-absorbing porous mezdra, actively absorbs sweat in the areas adjacent to the body in the neck and armpits. The seams under the sleeves quickly burst. on the shoulder blades. you need to rip and see the defects from the inside of the fur coat. If there are many damaged places and the product cannot be updated in simple ways, you will have to rip it open and sew something new. There are places that wear out the most intensively:

Naturally, you will not need damaged areas. The first step is to remove them, and then rip open what is left.

The easiest way to remake an old fur coat that has worn sleeves and a collar is to sew a vest out of it. Any fur is suitable for this. You will also need:

• lining fabric;
• two buttons.

If there is a pattern, it’s very good, but in this case it doesn’t cost anything to do without it.

Important! Marking can be done directly on the mezdra (it is better to draw with a ballpoint pen). It is necessary to use, if possible, whole parts - shelves for the front, back - for the back.

How to alter a fur coat with your own hands, having a vest pattern in your hands:

1. Put the pattern on the corresponding part of the fur coat and pin.
2. Outline.
3. Make allowances and circle again.
4. Cut with a sharp knife (you can use scissors with short ends, but this will be long and inconvenient).
5. Baste details at the shoulder and side seams.

Important! The mink is beautifully dyed, so you may not have to change anything - the yellowed fur can be dyed a different color, and the fur coat will look like new.

The nutria has long and rather hard fur. It is warm and durable, and besides, it has water-repellent properties. Oddly enough, such a fur coat can not only be altered, but even bandaged. To do this, the thing must be torn open and dissolved into strips 2-3 cm wide. This should be done very carefully, trying not to cut the pile. All this is wound into a ball, woolen, cotton or acrylic thread is added, and then knitted with a thick hook.

In a word, there are a lot of options for creating new clothes or household items. But what should not be done in any case is to store damaged fur products in the apartment.
