You have to drive a lot on the highway, as a result of which chips appear on the windshield, pay 500 rubles. for a chip it is very expensive. To begin with, I used a more budgetary set for 250 rubles.

the disadvantage of this set is that it is necessary to tear off the double-sided tape, as well as constantly maintain pressure, pumping it with a syringe. Having used a cheap set, I decided to buy a more expensive one.

Glass repair:

Conclusion:
The device turned out to be not very convenient, during the repair of the glass one of the suction cups was constantly peeling off (I did it as written in the instructions, I applied the grease that came with the kit, I probably should have spat, it would have held better)))), and therefore the device needs modification in the form of suction cups with latch:

An obvious advantage is the device for pumping glue under pressure, in comparison with the old set, it is not necessary to constantly build up pressure here, just carefully tighten the bolt and nothing else. I also think to buy an ultraviolet lamp, since there is not always an option to drive the car out into the street, or if it is already night on the street.

I bought a car with a crack. Immediately after the purchase, there was no money for glass. I spent everything on consumables and other little things. The crack itself didn't bother me much, but the problem was that the crack kept growing. Well, money appeared and I decided to stop and fix the crack. I called the offices and asked around. it turned out that the cost of fixing = the cost of new glass (then the dollar was still adequate) ...

And I decided to try to fix everything myself, it definitely won't be worse :) I ordered a set from aliexpress (ru.aliexpress.com/item/-/...2.html?recommendVersion=2) 2 pieces for 600 rubles.

So I decided to try it.
First, he drilled out all the chips and the ends of the crack with an engraver.

A special syringe is attached to the chips, a photopolymer is dripped there and pressure and rarefaction are created with the help of the movement of the syringe.

Then the suction cup is cut off and the special is glued. film.
Photopolymer is simply dripped into the cracks and a film on top.
The car must be in the sun. the reagent solidifies only in the sun.
And what is the bottom line. chips filled well, certainly not new glass, but better than it was. The fresh crack has become almost invisible.

The old crack is of course visible, but this is from the dirt that got there.
I have been driving for 3 months, the crack does not grow, which was what I needed to achieve 🙂

I want to share a little trick in working with a glass chip repair kit bought on the open spaces of Aliexpress.

Degrease the surface with an alcohol solution.

Separate the protective layer of double-sided tape, so that the "tail" remains (we will need it to dismantle the form).

We glue the tape in such a way that the chip would be exactly in the center of the hole (UP "TAIL").

Remove the second ponytail protective film.

Remove the main protective layer of the tape.

(Note that the ponytails are pointing upward asthe neck is tilted relative to the base).

Fill in the gel. (3-4 clicks on the bottle are enough).

We pull out the piston to the extreme risk and fix it.

Due to the pressure, all the air will enter the syringe and the gel will fill the space in the mold.

And here is a little trick))

I took an ultraviolet lamp from my wife to dry the varnish.

We set it to the maximum power and the duration of the work is 120 sec.

After 20 minutes have passed, remove the syringe (excess air will come out of the mold), put it in place and press the piston to the 2nd risk.

We keep the syringe in this position for another 20 minutes.

... The first and last 4 minutes are shone by drying.

As time passed, we remove the syringe, separate the form from the glass - helping ourselves with the blade from the kit.

Pour the rest of the gel onto the chip, put the film from the kit on top and heat it on both sides for 4 minutes.

Leave to dry for about an hour.

We remove the whip, clean off the excess gel with a blade from the kit.

The gel is completely dry. And yellowness is dirt in a chip. (you could, of course, clean it with a needle, but I didn't dare).

After about a month, the order was delivered to our post office.

The kit consisted of:

• - a tube of resin,
• - syringe,
• - blade,
• - 3 stickers,
• - some kind of nozzle,
• -5 films,
• -instruction in English (an instruction in Russian was found on the Internet).

The whole process of glass repair was done by my husband (I tried to help him, but there was little sense). I will describe how it looked from my vision))):

1. Cleared the chip from contamination with a sharp object;
2. Degreased the surface;
3. I pasted a sticker on the glass and a nozzle on it;
4. Poured resin into the nozzle;
5. Using a syringe made a vacuum and left for 15 minutes;
6. After 15 minutes, I removed the sticker, cleaned off the remnants;
7. I poured a drop of resin on the prepared surface, covered it with a film and left it for 30 minutes (the day, by the way, was sunny - without the sun, according to the instructions, it was necessary to wait longer);
8. After 30 minutes, he removed the film and cleaned off the remaining resin with a blade.

Voila! The crack is closed! A small trace still remained, it is visible only if you look closely. But the glass surface is smooth !!

There were still very small chips on the windshield. We decided not to bother with the whole procedure, and just cleaned them of dirt, degreased, poured resin and covered them with foil. Half an hour later they removed the film and expelled with the same blade. The result was the same - smooth and even surface)

We were satisfied with the set! It cost about 260 rubles. The only difficulty was caused by the instruction, at first I did not understand the procedure with the syringe, but through the tests we still figured it out.

The kit came in an ordinary plastic bag, so that nothing was damaged during transportation, the seller wrapped it in a little bubble. So, the chip repair kit itself comes in a rather nice original packaging, which is a plastic blister covered with a beautiful green film 🙂 (until you rip it off, you cannot open the blister).

The reverse side of the package contains brief information about what is inside and what it is for.

Tearing off the green sticker, you can get to the contents of the blister. Inside it is a detailed instruction with pictures (a very useful thing) :), a tube of glue, a cunning syringe, a blade, a pedestal, 2 base stickers and 5 films.

In conclusion, I want to say that I was very pleased with both the quality of this set and the result obtained. He carefully put all the leftovers in a blister and hid it in the trunk for a rainy day, you never know what. And so all the glass repair work can be carried out even in the field, even in the forest 🙂 I ordered a couple of such kits for friends, it’s better to let it be, but not useful than it will not be at hand at the right time.
