We open, carry out a visual inspection for the presence of corrosion, dirt and other unnecessary substances.

First of all, we remove all plastic parts, in general, everything that can be removed is unhooked. Do not forget about the film with keyboard buttons such as membranes, we also peel it off (this is on other models, on ours the keyboard board is disconnected).

We take a cleansing liquid (such as alcohol, Kolosha gasoline, cologne), I use Isoprapanol, it does not have an unpleasant odor like Kolosha.

We take a toothbrush, who doesn’t mind - a new one, dip it in alcohol, and clean the board until it looks like new - especially the contacts for the display, the USB connector. Do not press hard, you can demolish some components.

We cleaned it, now we take the flux, take a brush, smear the flux near the microcircuits (larger), set the hair dryer at 325 degrees and heat all the microcircuits in a circle and in the middle, the distance from the outlet of the tip (nozzle) of the hair dryer to the surface of the microcircuit is 1.5 cm. Tip it is better and more economical to take an average diameter.

We heat to such an extent that the tin is melted at the components located around the perimeter (adjust the temperature to 330 degrees). Very, very gently shake the microcircuit with a needle so that it moves a little. It is important not to shake too much, otherwise it will move out of the contacts, and so on with all non-glued (without compound) microcircuits. We also warm up the filters, to clean the flux, you can use an ultrasonic bath, but we will do it differently.

Pour alcohol under all microcircuits without a compound, hold for a while so that the alcohol has time to collect all the dirt. Now we take a hair dryer from the soldering station and blow it under the microcircuits. By blowing alcohol out from under the microcircuits in this way, we do not need it there. The temperature of the hair dryer should be for warming up, and not for soldering, this is in the range from 260 to 290 degrees, depending on which station.

Let's go, let's move on. Now let cool and assemble. If after the assembly the breakdown is fixed, then “Hurrah everything is ready”. If, nevertheless, a white screen and some buttons do not work, you need to replace the filters or put jumpers, but that's another story. The most important parts that can fail after water or after a fall (impact) are filters (the so-called glasses), they look like this.

You need to do the same with them as with the rest of the microcircuits, only solder these places more carefully. Warm up, stir, about the flux (do not forget to apply) with it the components will not peel off the contacts. Now everything seems to be. What we have done applies only to damage due to moisture getting inside the phone. 3. Third Party Spare Parts. Chinese friends are always ready to help in someone else's trouble. On the same Aliexpress you can find thousands of items of components for a variety of smartphones.

In most cases, these are non-original spare parts, which may or may not be lucky. The sudden death of a new Chinese screen a week after purchase and installation is a very real scenario. And, of course, the quality of third-party components from the original will also differ markedly. Not to mention the fact that they can simply be broken at the post office during delivery.

However, in an unofficial service, a guarantee that after the repair the smartphone can be bathed again will not be given to you either.

Some devices are disassembled from the side of the screen. Not even all service centers undertake their repair, because in an attempt to get to a cheap speaker, it’s easier than ever to damage an expensive matrix for tens of thousands of rubles. So be sure to watch at least a few good video guides before climbing inside!

At home, only the simplest type of repair can be performed: modular. That is, replace the defective component with a serviceable one. It is unlikely that it will be possible to cope with complex tasks involving soldering and knowledge of electrical fundamentals. In addition, few people accidentally had a soldering iron with special equipment, power supplies for determining the consumed currents and a microscope lying around in their apartment. “Recessed” phones at home can only be dried, and the means for cleaning and soldering are only available in services.

Any savings on repairs is an opportunity cost:

However, for many special details, you have no choice but to try your luck on eBay or AliExpress. Read the descriptions of offers as carefully as you read the terms of contracts. Don't go for the cheapest deals.At first glance, such "bargain" purchases are often indistinguishable from original parts, and only during installation it becomes clear that they do not fit due to too large dimensional tolerances or that the alleged Retina display is actually just an LCD display with large pixels.

Pentalob, Tri-Wing or Torq - the industry can "invent" very ingenious screw heads, but it will be possible to purchase screwdrivers suitable for them very quickly on the Web. Almost all manufacturers, with the exception of Apple, use common profiles, in most cases Philips Phillips (PH) or Torx (TX) sprocket. At the same time, manufacturers willingly hide one or more screws under a company tag or rubber inserts glued to the case. If the case does not open, then it should be inspected for the presence of such "caches".

In the case of tight-fitting screws, you can easily destroy their slots if you loosen the screwdriver. It should be pressed with full force into the head of the screw to achieve maximum grip. However, if the incident has already occurred, then a narrow screwdriver with a flat slot and a significant applied force can help. Or you will have to purchase a so-called "screw remover" on iFixit. Thanks to its crown-shaped tip with sharp edges, it is firmly fixed in every screw. If the screw, on the contrary, scrolls, then clamp the pick or the tip of the tweezers under the head of the screw (as a locking lever) and continue to unscrew the screw.

Thin cases are often connected with small latches. You can elegantly open these latches with a guitar pick. It is thin and flexible, but strong and non-conductive. Use it to try to get to the corner between the case cover and the bezel, but don't push the pick too far to avoid damaging the hidden flat ribbon cable.

Move the pick in one direction until you feel resistance, and then release the hidden lock by tilting the pick up. As with removing a bicycle tire, things are easier if you use multiple picks to prevent already open connections from snapping back together.

To better protect electronics from moisture penetration, more and more devices are additionally glued. Typically, these adhesives are thermoplastic and can re-soften when heated. If your hair dryer does not have the ability to adjust the temperature, we recommend working with cold-heat compresses. Similar gel pillows are not so expensive in pharmacies. They are heated in a water bath or in the microwave (check if three to four minutes of heating at 750 watts is enough, and add a few more minutes if necessary).

The gel cushion transfers heat to the device over the entire contact surface, which prevents cracks caused by internal stresses in parts due to uneven heat distribution. In addition, it makes it impossible for the components to overheat, as the pad bursts when heated above 90 °C. If you don't have experience with compresses yet, place it in a grocery bag while heated to prevent possible mess if it bursts. When the adhesive seal softens, picks come to the rescue again. This time, use the suction cup to pull the back of the case (or the glued top glass) upwards, while at the same time snapping the latches off with a pick.

When the case is finally opened, the next step should be the obligatory photographing of its internal elements. Careful documentation will greatly facilitate your subsequent build. To ensure that exposed electronic components do not suffer additional damage caused by static electricity, now is the time to use ESD protection, or at least touch the nearest radiator.

The first step is to disconnect the battery cable to de-energize the gadget, preventing a short circuit.Before the final installation of sensitive parts (such as the display), they must be temporarily connected without assembling the devices and their operation must be checked.
