The starter turns badly and sometimes is silent, suspicion of brushes,

I think it's better to go to them with at least some spare parts
The problem is not yet acute and manifests itself in the cold more often
I don’t consider 80r for a brush (or a spring ??) and 1000r for a brush block a waste, since they will spin them at the same time
especially 50/50 that either the brushes end or bendix

I will also try to tighten + on the battery, otherwise it is inconvenient to tighten the screw on the side)

It seems that I figured out the starter - I tightened the positive wire
it got better, but sneezes at the start remained (sneezes 1-3 times)
those grasps and immediately releases, while the battery light blinks, the revolutions do not float
can you need to clean what? what filters to change?
the candles are new, the throttle, the injector has never been cleaned, the benz.filters have not changed either.

a hedgehog rarely (on weekends), the battery charge is normal
before the start voltage 12.8 - 12.6, new battery

You can check the starter without being removed. It is necessary to close something there with a wire (which I did not see, since I turned the beak) in order to check the “retractor” if it turns, then the problem is exactly in it. Well, or even as an option: one with a starter, another with keys in the ignition)))

The autopsy itself showed that the starter is alive o_O
We only checked it at home, when we took it off after about twenty minutes in the cold)) We throw the body on minus hook plus - the first time nothing happened, perhaps the reason was that Dad did not press it well against the terminal, disassembled the engine, the brushes are alive, and he himself he is quite alive without visible breakdowns, in general LIVE, he rubbed it all, he collected it, think, let me try again, this time he pressed it to the terminal and twirled it.

Now the question, the starter has not yet posed. but what is the reason for that. by all indications the starter is alive. Akkum is alive. There are no signaling devices. Where is the catch.

1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

If the car stereo is equipped with a security code, before disconnecting the battery, make sure you have the correct combination for putting the audio system into operation!

2. Remove the storage battery and the pallet of its fastening from the engine compartment (see Section Checking the condition and replacing the battery).
3. Disconnect the lower radiator hose and cable harness from the starter mounting bracket. On V6 engines, the ATF coolant lines run close to the starter mount - make sure they are pushed to the side.

4. Carefully mark and disconnect the electrical wiring from the terminals of the starter traction relay. Release the intermediate retaining clips of the electrical wiring.

5. Give the mounting bolts and remove the starter.

6. Installation is carried out upside-down.

Disassemble the starter as shown at the beginning of this procedure.

Check the collector diameter. If the diameter is less than the working limit, replace the armature.

Check the runout of the manifold (A).

  • If the manifold runout is within the operating range, check the manifold for coal dust, or remove any debris from the gap between the manifold plates.
  • If the runout of the collector is out of the working range, replace the armature.

Checking the depth of mica insulation (A). If the mica sticks out too much (B), trim the mica with a hacksaw blade to a normal depth. Cut off all the mica (C) to the specified depth between the manifold plates. The kerf must not be too shallow, too narrow or V-shaped (D).

Measure the length of the brushes. If it is outside the working range, replace the brush holder assembly.

Make sure there is no electrical connection between the (+) terminal of the brush holder (A) and the (-) terminal of the brush holder (B). If there is continuity, replace the brush holder assembly.

While holding the pinion gear, turn the pinion shaft counterclockwise. The pinion shaft must rotate freely. If the pinion shaft does not rotate smoothly without binding, replace the pinion cover assembly.

Place the brush in the brush holder and insert the armature (A) into the brush holder (B).

NOTE. To install new brushes, insert a strip of # 500 or # 600 sandpaper with the abrasive side outward between the commutator and each brush and slowly rotate the armature. The contact surface of the brushes will be milled along the contour corresponding to the diameter of the collector.

Squeezing the spring (C), insert it into the hole in the brush holder and push it down until it stops. Repeat this step for the other three springs (D, E, and F).

Install the armature and brush holder into the stator housing.

NOTE. Make sure the armature is properly seated in the brush holder.
