And already without loads I took the drum out into the yard, the weather allowed. Next, the upper drum must be disassembled. It consists of two halves, which are connected in a circle with self-tapping screws. These halves are connected hermetically, since there is water in this drum during washing.

Inside the plastic drum is another drum, or stainless steel tub for laundry. Now you can see why the oil seal leaked and in what condition it is.

The photo clearly shows that during washing, the iron drum rubbed (clung) to the oil seal and damaged it. I must say right away that during the wash, the washing machine made a quiet creak. We did not pay attention to this sound, especially since it appeared at the very end of the wash.

Now everything was clear, it was rubbing on the oil seal. The gland itself was removed from the seat without any effort. Having put this detail in order, I saw that on this cover around the gland there were cracks, so far barely noticeable, which means that there is a high probability that the process will go on and then the drum itself will flow. In the photo, I indicated these cracks with arrows. The bearings were in excellent condition and no water got into them. He began to put a new oil seal, but he "did not want" to sit in his nest. Painfully, this question was not finalized by the designer. And I decided to glue it.

For this purpose, I bought a Dyson sealant, which has no equal from silicones (from experience). He put the gland on the glue, and at the same time filled the nearest sinuses with glue. I did the same procedure on the other side.

I think it will add some rigidity to this part. I also improved the drainage. I inserted a tube of a suitable diameter into the hole and fixed it on the drum lid with the same glue.
