Three oil changes in the engine, the first I did at 2000 km, I changed it myself and then I chose MANNOL 7715 O.E.M. 5W-30 for Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Seat ACEA C3 specifications, tolerances VW 504.00 / 507.00, with a mileage of 6000 km, I had to top up, this time on the advice of two comrades, they have Skoda Octavia A7 1.8 TSI DSG, they fill Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40 Specifications: API SN / CF; ACEA A3 / B3, A3 / B4; VW 502.00 / 505.00 tolerance, from replacement to replacement said the level is being held. I will try on our engine, it costs 2095 rubles on emex, a VAG filter of 309 rubles and a plug with a ring of 130 rubles.
I will try to describe the events that happened to the car this summer.
In July, my wife and I decided to go on vacation for a week by car. To the Samara region, then to Kazan. To see the Urals from Krasnoufimsk, to see Tyumen. We left on the 13th in the evening, arrived in Novosibirsk back on the 22nd closer to midnight. The trip turned out to be very interesting, rich and varied. Even a bear was seen in the Urals between Krasnoufimsk and Oktyabrsky.
The total length of the route was 5900 km.
Average consumption for BC was:
1. If you heat 120-140 - 6 liters
2. If you go constantly in a dense stream of 70-90 - it comes to 4.7 liters.
Good day everyone! Now it's time to add a review about the car. Skated for 9 months, hitting 14 km. The flight was normal, nothing broke, creaked or fell off. After 10 t. Km. oil consumption has practically stopped (if there is a consumption, it is hardly noticeable and does not require topping up). From a pleasant point of view, the consumption really pleases, in the city 7.5, outside the city 5-5.5 l / 100 km., The climate works well (our summer is hot this year), the multimedia sound is not bad, and, of course, the cruise control is a cool thing. From what I would like to improve.
So my polic ran off his kilometers. A little more than 45 thousand and a year and a half have passed, during which time he showed himself perfectly. There were no breakdowns during the operation.Although I'm lying, there was one trifle! The diagnostics revealed a malfunction of one sensor on the motor, made under warranty. Feels like nothing has changed, neither before its installation, nor after. The downside is that it was revealed not on a planned basis, but on additional diagnostics before selling it in a third-party service, which of course was not pleasant, because the car is completely dealer's.
Hello everyone! Today the mileage is 150 thousand km. And more recently, an unpleasant story happened with the machine. When starting a cold engine, a clattering sound appeared, which subsided as the engine warmed up, it could only be heard with the hood open, it was not audible in the cabin. In short, the exhaust manifold burst, as it turned out, this is a common problem and there are several ways out of it. The first option is to weld the native manifold, which is a dubious occupation, since the part is made of thin metal, and a new crack appears next to the weld.
The third generation Polo premiered in Paris in 1994.At first, the PoloIII was produced with 3 and 5-door hatchback bodies. In 1995, a sedan modification called Polo Classic returned to the model range. It was created on the SEAT Cordoba platform. Unlike the hatchbacks produced in Germany, this model is assembled in Spain at the SEAT plant. The Polo Classic has a base 4 cm longer than the Polo, and its length is about 40. In 1997, the Polo Variant station wagon appeared, created on the basis of the SEAT Cordoba Vario station wagon. It is also collected in Spain.
The range of engines included gasoline and diesel engines ranging from 45 to 110 hp. At the top of the lineup was the Polo GTI with a 1.6-liter 125 hp engine. The hatchback was distinguished by the best aerodynamics in its class: Cx = 0.32
At the end of 1999, the third generation Polo was redesigned. Volkswagen updated about 60% of the parts, while the exterior of the car remained practically unchanged. The headlights and the radiator grill were slightly different, the bumpers and covers of the exterior mirrors were now painted in body color. But in the cabin there have been more significant changes: the dashboard has become the same as that of the Lupo, the dials have received edging, and the "Torpedo" has acquired a more rounded shape.
The 4-door Polo Classic sedans are in greatest demand among practical domestic motorists. And it is not surprising - sedans are 390 mm longer than 3- and 5-door hatchbacks, and their trunk is much more spacious - in the "stowed" state 455 against 245 liters, respectively. Compact hatchbacks are tacitly considered women's cars. Since these modifications are less popular, they, as a rule, are imported to us from abroad already used, and Variant sedans and station wagons at one time could be purchased new from domestic dealers. So, when buying a car, you should pay attention to the fact that the sedan and station wagon from the very beginning could be operated in local conditions, and this significantly affects the health of the car. We also note that the Polo bodies were not galvanized, although the manufacturer gave them a 6-year guarantee against perforating corrosion. In principle, the bodies have no "sore" spots, although after accidents, rust appears on them pretty soon.
Despite the fact that the line of Polo power units is quite wide, we mainly operate gasoline modifications equipped with 1.4 and 1.6 liter engines. But diesels are a rarity. Most often they are found on VW Caddi delivery vans, created on the basis of the Polo. According to the employees of the company service, with proper maintenance and normal operation, the power units of a car are capable of "running" up to 300 thousand km.
It is better to purchase a Polo with an automatic transmission (it was usually installed with powerful 101-horsepower 1.4 and 1.6 liter engines). If the "machine" is in good working order, it will serve for a long time and without problems, and you can make sure that it works at a company service station, where diagnostics of this unit costs only $ 20.
But the "mechanics" can become a headache for the owner of the car after 100 thousand.km of run. So, over time, the gears do not turn on due to a violation of the adjustment of the gear shift rocker (work costs $ 12). But these are only "flowers". When buying a car, be sure to listen to how the transmission works on the go. Increased noise is a clear sign that this unit is about to fail. The main cause of the gearbox breakdown is the gear shift shaft oil seal leak. If the oil level is insufficient, the temperature regime of the gearbox operation is disturbed, which is why it knocks out the gears while driving. As the service workers explained, this is already the last stage of the "life" of the gearbox.
The braking system of most cars is equipped with front disc and rear drum mechanisms. On request and on the sports version of the GTI, disc brakes and ABS were standard front and rear. It is recommended to lubricate the guides of the front calipers when replacing the pads.
The Polo is ideal for those who travel frequently in the city. In addition, it has an important advantage - hardly any competitor can boast of such a wide range of modifications.

This car has everything that has already brought success before: the safety of Volkswagen, high quality and environmental compatibility. However, this time you are offered something more. For example, the serial four-door body is much more comfortable when sitting in the back seat. The capacity of the trunk has been increased. The rest of the Polo, like any Volkswagen, fully meets your expectations: this applies to the variety of serial equipment and the choice of engines. If you want your Polo to look emphatically sporty, even more comfortable and elegant, then you can choose from any of the offered interior equipment sets.
The vehicle interior provides a high potential for safety and comfort.
The diagonal lap seat belts, mounted on both front seats, are vertically adjustable and equipped with emergency tensioners that tighten the belts tight in an emergency.
Surprises, of course, pleasant ones, are found in different parts of the cabin. For example, dressing mirrors are mounted in both sun shields.
To accommodate a lot of little things that are habitually taken on a long journey, storage niches and pockets provided in the design of doors, seats and in the dashboard area serve.
Everything will fit. The bottom and sides of the trunk are covered with a velvet carpet. However, its main advantage is its spaciousness, which can be increased from 455 to 762 liters (when measured according to the VDA method - the Automobile Association of the Federal Republic of Germany), if the cushion and back of the rear seat are folded back. This allows you to transport bulky items and long items. On request, a rear seat with an asymmetrically (1: 2) sectional cushion and backrest is available.
It's easy to breathe in the car. For this, a four-mode heating and ventilation system is provided. A special filter traps dust and pollen, thus purifying the air entering the cabin from the outside.
It's nice to drive. The height-adjustable steering column adjusts to the driver's height to make them even more comfortable and comfortable.
Everything's under control. In addition to the speedometer, total and daily mileage counter, and an electronic clock with digital display, mounted on the inset of the dashboard, a tachometer is installed as standard.
Automation will remind you with a sound signal of the need to take care of the battery and turn off the light - if you have not done this before removing the key from the ignition.
